Viele ausländische Studenten haben schon im Heimatland Deutsch gelernt – oft aber nicht genug, um die Deutschprüfungen für die Uni zu bestehen. Normalerweise werden sie dann von den Unis zu Sprachschulen geschickt, um die entsprechenden Deutschkenntnisse noch zu erwerben.

Viele fragen sich, welches Niveau sie in Deutsch tatsächlich besitzen und misstrauen den Einstufungen, die sie von Sprachschulen bekommen, besonders wenn diese Einstufungen niedrig ausfallen. Leider sind diese Einstufungen aber oft richtig, denn Deutschlerner überschätzen oft ihre eigentlichen Deutschkenntnisse.

Wenn ihr der Einstufung durch eine Sprachschule nicht glaubt, dann gibt es die Möglichkeit den so genannten „onDaF“ zu machen.

Der OnDaF

OnDaF ist ein Online-Einstufungstest für Deutsch als Fremdsprache. Mit dem onDaF könnt eure Sprachkenntnisse schnell und unkompliziert überprüfen. Der OnDaF ist komplett internetbasiert. Lizenzierte Testabnahmestellen (kurz TAS) in aller Welt ermöglichen die Teilnahme am onDaF. Jede Testabnahmestelle legt OnDaF-Termine individuell fest.

Der OnDaF ist standardisiert und verwendet sorgfältig erprobte Aufgaben. Das OnDaF-Ergebnis ist objektiv und präzise. Es liegt unmittelbar nach Ende des Tests vor und kann als Zertifikat ausgedruckt werden.

Der einzige Nachteil von OnDaF – er ist nicht kostenlos. Allerdings kostet er auch nicht schrecklich viel. Der Preis wird vom jeweiligen Testzentrum festgelegt, so dass ich keinen genauen Preis nennen kann. Er dürfte aber bei ca. 15 Euro liegen.

Das OnDaF-Prüfungsbeispiel

Damit ihr euch besser vorstellen könnnt, was euch bei OnDaF erwartet, haben die Testmacher jetzt ein (verkürztes) Testbeispiel online gestellt. Der Beispieltest besteht aus vier Aufgaben. Jede dieser Aufgaben sieht genauso aus wie die Aufgaben, die beim onDaF verwendet werden. Das heißt, die Aufgaben sind Lückentexte mit jeweils 20 Lücken. Wenn nacheinander alle vier Lückentexte bearbeitet wurden, erfahrt ihr, wie viele Punkte ihr insgesamt erreicht habt. Maximal sind 80 Punkte erreichbar.

Technischer Hinweis

Bevor ihr den Test durchführen könnt, müsst ihr euren Browser so einstellen, dass für die OnDaF-Seite Cookies und Pop-ups erlaubt sind, natürlich nur falls euer Browser nicht sowieso schon so eingestellt ist.

Wichtige Unterschiede zum Original-OnDaF

Fast alles ist so wie beim originalen OnDaF. Aber es gibt einige wichtige Unterschiede: Es sind nicht acht Texte, sondern nur vier. Die Texte sind insgesamt etwas leichter als die im OnDaF verwendeten Texte. Beim Probetest erscheinen immer dieselben Texte in derselben Reihenfolge. Der Beispieltest kann beliebig oft aufgerufen und bearbeitet werden – der originale Test natürlich nur einmal. Und es wird auch kein Kompetenzniveau ausgewiesen und natürlich auch kein Sprachzertifikat erzeugt.

Trotzdem kann der Beispieltest dazu dienen, euch mit dem onDaF vertraut zu machen. Ihr könnt so lernen, wie die Texte aussehen, wie sie dargeboten werden und wie sie zu bearbeiten sind.

Und auch wenn euch kein Sprachniveau zugewiesen wird, könnt ihr doch ungefähr sehen, wie schwer bzw. wie leicht euch die Aufgaben fallen. Und ihr könnt euch natürlich überlegen, wie groß eure Chance bei TestDaF ist, wenn ihr bei OnDaF nur wenig Punkte bekommt …

ONSET– the strictest controller of our knowledge

Every year at the university. F. Skaryna For students who want to test their level of proficiency in German or English, the onSET test is conducted.

Testing is free. To take part in it, you need to register in advance on the DAAD website. Not only GSU students took part in the testing. F. Skaryna, but also students from other universities. It is interesting that this time students from the economics and geological-geographical faculties came to test their knowledge of German. There were a lot of people willing to take part in the test this year – more than 60 people.

The test consisted of 8 texts, each was given about 4-5 minutes to solve. All the texts were on different topics. It was necessary to understand the meaning of the text and complete the words, i.e. put endings or verbs in the required form.

Participation in the test gave me an incentive to develop and improve my level of language knowledge. Many students were satisfied with their results. It was also a good opportunity to meet students from other universities. Now students who have received confirmation of level B1 or A2 will have to compete for a DAAD scholarship to travel to study at one of the universities in Germany.
