Top teacher training universities with budget-funded places. Pedagogical universities of Russia. Industrial Training Master

The volume of air transportation in the world is increasing every year. Accordingly, the industry's need for young qualified personnel is also growing. The profession of "aircraft commander" is traditionally the highest paid in our country after the sea captain. The journalist of the Yuga.ru portal figured out what needs to be done to conquer the sky and the management of the airline.

Pilot and pilotThis is the same?

At first glance, the concepts are similar: representatives of both professions fly aircraft. Only the pilot sits at the controls of a military aircraft, and the pilot is a civilian. They also have different training methods: for pilots, everything is much more complicated. We are interested in the fate of the pilots.

Before going to study to become a pilot, it is important to soberly assess your physical fitness and state of health - it should be like that of astronauts. Throughout their careers, pilots regularly undergo a medical examination, and if deviations are detected, they are immediately suspended from flights. Personal qualities are no less important, without which there is nothing to do in aviation - responsibility, perseverance, confidence in oneself and in one's actions, leadership qualities, and the ability to make decisions quickly. Before admission, the medical-flight expert commission (VLEK) conducts a series of psychological tests and decides whether the applicant is fit or not. If there is order on these points, you can proceed to the choice of an educational institution.

Where to go to study as a pilot?

Today the profession of "flight operation of aircraft" in Russia is taught in two universities and three flight schools. Upon completion of your studies, you will receive a state diploma and a commercial pilot certificate.

1. Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation named after Chief Marshal of Aviation B.P. Bugaeva (UI GA), uvauga.ru

City: Ulyanovsk
Study period: 5 years

The largest aviation university in Russia with the longest history was founded in 1935. Prepares specialists in the direction of "aircraft operation and air traffic management" and bachelors in the direction of "flight operation of civil aircraft (second pilot of an aircraft)". There is an airfield complex with 79 aircraft DA 40 NG and DA 42 NG, as well as a center with simulators for Airbus-320, Boeing-737, SSJ-100, Tu-204 aircraft.

Its branches - the Sasov and Krasnokutsk Civil Aviation Flying Schools - also train pilots.

2. Sasovo Civil Aviation Flight School (SLU GA), sasovoavia.3dn.ru

City: Sasovo, Ryazan region

The school was opened in 1943; more than 20 thousand pilots of domestic civil aviation and more than 1 thousand pilots of foreign airlines graduated from its walls. The training flights are carried out on 39 aircraft of the An-2, Yak-18T of the 36th series, Cessna-172S, L-410 UVP E-20, L-410 UVP E.

3. Krasnokutsk Civil Aviation Flying School (KKLU GA), kkluga.ru

City: Krasny Kut, Saratov region
Training period: 2 years 10 months

The history of the school dates back to 1940 and has trained more than 27 thousand pilots during this time. The fleet of training aircraft includes 5 Yak-18T (36th series) aircraft, 61 An-2 aircraft, 14 Cessna-172 light aircraft, 12 Diamond DA 40 NG aircraft and 2 twin-engine LET L410UVP-E aircraft.

4. St. Petersburg University of Civil Aviation (SPbGU GA), spbguga.ru

City: Saint Petersburg
Study period: 5 years

Since 1955, the university has graduated over 50 thousand specialists. Flights on simulators and aircraft are performed in full compliance with ICAO requirements, which provide for study and flights on a single-engine aircraft (Cessna-172S / R or Diamond DA 40 NG) and on a twin-engine aircraft (Diamond DA 42 NG). In total, the fleet of training aircraft numbers more than 100 units.

And its branch:

5. Branch of SPbSU GA - Buguruslan Civil Aviation Flight School (BLU GA), bluga.ru

City: Buguruslan, Orenburg region
Training period: 2 years 10 months

The school, created in 1940, is now given the status of a college. You can practice at seven airfields and 52 aircraft Diamond DA 42 NG and Diamond DA 40 NG.

Theoretically, if you have a higher or secondary technical education, you can undergo professional retraining at non-state aviation training centers (ATC) and get the profession of a commercial pilot in about a year. However, with such a certificate, it will be extremely difficult to get a job with an airline.

And the girls are taken as pilots?

Until quite recently, it was out of the question for a woman in Russia to be admitted to the Academy of Civil Aviation for a flight specialty. However, in 2007, a resident of Yekaterinburg, a law student, Ksenia Borisova, filed a lawsuit against the educational institution for discrimination and won the case. So today girls can also safely apply for pilots, and not only for civil aviation: this year, not only guys were admitted to the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School for the first time.

What do you need for admission?

First: to receive the conclusion of the medical-flight expert commission (VLEK GA) on the suitability for training and the card of passing the psychological examination. To do this, you must have one hundred percent vision and hearing, no color blindness, normal blood pressure and blood sugar / cholesterol levels, no serious physical and neurological diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, psychosis or drug addiction.

To pass VLEK, you need to prepare:
- test results (for HIV, hepatitis B and C, RW, per group and Rh factor) and certificates from neuropsychiatric, narcological and dermatovenerologic dispensaries with a stamp or record “Not registered”;
- X-ray of the accessory nasal cavities (with a curved septum will not be taken);
- an electroencephalogram of the brain with a description (this is how a tendency to epilepsy is detected).

You will also need to pass physical standards (running: 1 km - no more than 3 minutes 30 seconds, 100 meters - 13.4 seconds, pull-ups - from 9 times) and pass many psychological tests.

Second: submit a package of documents to the selection committee.

Third: fill out an application for admission, an applicant's application form and an autobiography.

Fourth: pass exams in mathematics, Russian language, physics. Sometimes they also add English and computer science.

How much will the training cost?

For those who entered the budget, the state provides full support: uniforms, food, a hostel, a stipend, the necessary flight hours.

Paid group cadets provide themselves. The educational institution determines the cost of training independently. According to the Kommersant newspaper, in the flight school this figure will be approximately 2-3 million rubles, including a flight module of 150 hours. And for the training of a commercial pilot for a foreign plane at the university, you will have to pay about 8 million rubles,

The profession of a pilot attracts and interests many. After all, there is a certain romance in these takeoffs and landings, the command of the aircraft, in the sky and the clouds. And besides, pilots earn very good money. According to statistics, their profession is in first place in the TOP of the highest paid jobs. Naturally, many people have a question: how to become a civil aviation pilot.

According to experts, in any case, you can become a pilot only if you have a flight certificate in your hands. Without him, no one will be allowed at the wheel. Today, there are three types of such access rights to the sky:

  • Private pilot
  • Commercial Pilot
  • Linear

The assignment to each of the categories occurs gradually and necessarily one after the other. It is impossible to jump over several steps at once. In addition, pilots are also divided into categories 1, 2 and 3. The first here is the highest. To obtain it, you must first get the second and third. Accordingly, it will be necessary to master refresher courses, etc.

Piloting training today is carried out in:

  • Flight schools
  • Civil Aviation Academy
  • Aero clubs of a commercial nature

The first two options imply more serious training, therefore, they produce more reliable professionals, who later become civil aviation pilots. Commercial clubs mainly train amateur pilots who can fly on small ships and only for their own pleasure. Such courses cannot be classified as serious educational programs.

What is required for admission to an educational institution

Many universities that teach pilots have budget-funded places. And this means that those who really want it have a chance to enter. The rest will study on a paid basis, and the price tag for such studies is quite high. But it is important to remember that there is a strict selection process for such educational institutions. So, for example, even before all the entrance examinations, the applicant will have to undergo a rigorous medical examination and pass the necessary standards. Among the main examinations, the work of the following body systems is checked:

  • Cardiovascular
  • Respiratory
  • Vestibular apparatus
  • Of sight

In addition, the student, and in the future also the pilot, should not suffer from fluctuations in blood pressure. The same commission will be held for each year of study. And then, when the student has already got a job, such checks will be arranged for him before each flight. After all, he is responsible for the lives of hundreds of people, therefore he cannot afford any deviations.

What programs are being studied

Pilot training, for example, in Russia, is carried out in the following specialties:

  • Aircraft capabilities during its operation
  • Theoretical and practical lessons on airliner control
  • Working with maps and routing
  • Aerodynamics
  • Meteorology
  • Engine design fundamentals
  • Parachute jumps
  • Providing first aid and acquiring the necessary medical skills
  • Language upgrades

A prerequisite is a certain number of hours of practicing the acquired knowledge on special simulators and simulators, which fully reflect the real cockpit. The situations for them are very diverse.

What types of liners can you train for?

Today in Russia they teach pilots of various types of civil aircraft, both Russian and foreign. This is due to the fact that the Russian aviation industry has many different foreign aircraft in its arsenal. Special simulators and trainers are used for them. Teachers pay special attention to technical characteristics and features.

Later, pilots have to regularly retrain and build up their professional experience in order to be able to develop with the industry and choose modern vessels.

How to get a job

The question: how to become a pilot is rather difficult. After all, a graduate, whether he is even a graduate student and a gold medalist in one person, is unlikely to be immediately taken on a flight as a full-fledged pilot. He definitely needs to develop practice. After training, such a graduate will have the title of a commercial pilot. In a crew, which includes more than one person, he can only fly as an assistant or co-pilot.

A pilot is hired by the airline according to the following scheme:

  1. He must have a completed education and a flight certificate on hand. Such a document also has its own category - for civil aviation pilots, the categories of commercial pilot or linear are required.
  2. Results of the passed medical examination
  3. Successful delivery of material, both oral and written
  4. The number of required number of raids - the pilot receives them while flying the aircraft in different conditions (after graduating from a student, only 150 hours, to obtain the category of a linear pilot, 4,000 hours of practical flight are needed)

It is possible to obtain the category of a line pilot only if you have impressive flying experience both as a commercial pilot and as a commander. In this case, he has a chance to get a job in a large airline without any problems.

The choice of a pilot's profession is a worthy choice. After all, pilots help people quickly get to their desired destination. At the same time, the work is so nervous and difficult - after all, behind the pilot's back there is a huge number of human lives, and he has no right to make a mistake. If he does them, the result may be. And this is all a constant nervous strain. Plus, pressure drops affect the pilots, which also negatively affects their health. And all these factors should be taken into account before deciding to become a civil aviation pilot.

The sky attracts many people. After all, what kind of romance is hidden in the vocation of a pilot - this profession is prestigious, well paid and rarely gets boring. But it is associated with huge risks, so the selection of candidates is rather tough. It is not enough just to take a course or read literature. If you want to know how to become a civil aviation pilot, you must understand that you have to meet many requirements, including those related to physical training. It is impossible to become a pilot without practice. This is a difficult path, so you need to be aware that the childhood dream of conquering the sky is not suitable for everyone, and the responsibility here is very great.

There is a difficult situation in the country. On the one hand, there is a noticeable shortage of pilots in the labor market. On the other hand, it is not enough to graduate from a specialized university to be hired. So how do you become a pilot? It is worth understanding in more detail.

Basically, most of the places in the university are provided on a budgetary basis, but it is not so easy to enroll there. The reasons are in the strict medical commission. It is important to consider here that such systems should be in order:

  1. Heart.
  2. Lungs.
  3. Vessels.
  4. Normal blood pressure.
  5. The vestibular apparatus is normal.
  6. Excellent vision.

The commission should be held constantly, on each course. At the slightest deviation, you may be expelled. If you decide to become a pilot of a passenger plane, then you need to understand that commissions will be held even after graduation almost before every flight. A pilot is responsible not only for his own health, but also for the lives of passengers, so it is important that a person prepare for the flight responsibly.

How is the training going?

Of course, future students are interested in how their training will take place. Training for civil aviation pilots begins with the study of the structure and configuration of aircraft. The following courses also take place:

  • study of methods and possibilities of aircraft operation;
  • theory and practice of aircraft control;
  • routing and understanding maps;
  • aerodynamics;
  • meteorology;
  • engine design;
  • Skydiving;
  • first aid and medical skills;
  • foreign language to work on foreign flights.

The practice also includes training on special simulators that simulate real flights and the cockpit.

What awaits graduates?

Not every company will hire graduates who have just graduated. It's all about high responsibility and lack of experience. However, in this way you can become an Aeroflot pilot from scratch. But this option is not always realistic either. Graduates must be engaged in flight hours, as well as obtaining special pilot licenses. It is believed that the more hours a cadet spends in the air, the better for him. Many firms are willing to hire people who have practiced this way for at least two years.

Of course, this is a problem for young professionals. Not all of them have their own aircraft and runway in stock to just practice. Therefore, there are special training organizations that provide private small training grounds and planes for a fee. All this requires quite an impressive capital, because fuel alone for aircraft will cost a lot. But this also includes the maintenance of equipment, and repairs if something happens.

What does it take to become a pilot without education?

Of course, not every person will go to study at a university, because after studying for 6 years, then you will have to build up your experience for a long time. Also, this question is interesting for people who already have higher education and want to fly, even if they are well over 30 years old. There are special flying clubs that give a license on a commercial basis after training. There are stages of study here:

  • at the first stage, an amateur pilot certificate is issued, you can fly with it, but work is prohibited. You can fly, for example, in your own small plane with friends or family;
  • after the first stage, the title of a pilot of a commercial organization is available. This license allows you to fly light aircraft, participate in commercial flights on a ship with one engine, fly short distances;
  • at the last stage, the rank of a line pilot is available with all the ensuing consequences in the form of permission to fly any aircraft.

It is noteworthy that in comparison with university graduates, such specialists have three times, or even more flight hours, so they are much more often hired by large airlines.

Any pilot knows perfectly well what each button is responsible for.

Such training for a Russian civil aviation pilot is quite expensive, but it is justified if you definitely want to get a job immediately after obtaining a license. There is a real struggle on the part of large firms for such specialists, because so far in the country every year twice as many pilots retire as they get hired. This causes a severe shortage of personnel. Therefore, after completing all three steps, you can quickly recoup the cost of training.

Also, courses abroad are available for young people. The training system there is somewhat different from the domestic one. After obtaining a commercial pilot's license, a specialist may not spend money on paying for the next stage, but, on the contrary, earn money, additionally receiving flight hours. In the United States, the practice of working as an instructor is widespread, because planes are very popular here, they can be freely purchased. It is fair to say that this situation is gradually establishing itself in Russia, but so far not every person can afford such a means of transportation.

How to get a job as a pilot at Aeroflot

This company is the leading Russian air carrier. To get a job there is not only prestigious, but also profitable, since the management pays excellent salaries to its employees. However, at the same time, there are extremely strict criteria for the selection of specialists, and not every pilot has a chance to get into Aeroflot's staff.

On the basis of the airline itself, its own flight schools have been opened, where training takes place according to a specially developed training program for specialists. In order to become a regular pilot, you need to have a commercial license in your hands. The initial stage of retraining takes place at the Ulyanovsk school, then the candidate is prepared for the issuance of an international certificate.

Training lasts one and a half years, and it is paid. It costs $ 27,000 to undergo training at Aeroflot. The company can provide a loan for training, but in this case it is necessary to work off the debt to Aeroflot within five years after hiring. To do this, an amount of $ 450 will be debited every month. There is also an accelerated retraining course, but its cost is even higher - $ 100,000. The student is obliged to pay the initial installment of 55 thousand on his own, and the company provides a loan for the remainder. Light aircraft with two engines are used for training. Currently Aeroflot provides Austrian Diamond Aircraft models for training its future pilots. In addition, modern simulators are used to practice all possible techniques and develop the necessary skills.
