Program for high-quality recording dvd. Program for burning music to CD and DVD

> How to burn an audio CD?

Introduction.

Audio CD is one of the most popular formats and media types for storing music for over 30 years. The first prototype of the format was presented in 1976 and is still supported today. Most home players play Audio CDs, and all music albums are released in this format.

To burn Audio CD (convert MP3 to CDA), you will need a CD/DVD burner. Almost every modern computer has such a device. You also need an empty CD-R disc for recording music (a CD-RW is fine too) and special program. For audio CD recording we will use Audio CD Burner Studio. This application will allow you to quickly and accurately burn audio to disc. The program supports CD-Text, which will allow you to display information about the artist and song on the screen of a playing device - for example, in a car.

Step one: Download and install the program.

Download Audio CD Burner Studio to the selected folder and run the installation. Follow the installation instructions to complete the process.

Step two: Launching the program. Select audio files for recording.

Run installed program. The main window of Audio CD Burner Studio will open:

On the top toolbar, click "Add" to select audio files. The standard folder browser window will open:

Select the audio files you want burn to audio CD, and click Open.

Please note that a regular CD-R disc will hold about 80 minutes of music.

Step Three: Burn Audio CD.

The selected files will be added to the recording queue:

Pay attention to the list of audio files: the program has read their ID3 tags and will automatically write this information in the field CD Text. This way, your player will display the album information, the artist name, and the title of the current song.

Now let's see what can be configured. In the drop-down list at the top of the window, select the recording device if there are several of them on your computer.

You can change the order of songs on the disc using the green arrows on the toolbar by highlighting the desired track.

Finally, after making sure that the CD-R (CD-RW) is inserted into the burner, click "Burn". After that, the program will take some time to prepare the files and write them to disk, depending on the total duration. At the end of the Audio CD is ready to use on any player.

The trial version of Audio CD Burner Studio is fully functional for 30 days. If you like the program, you can register it and continue using it.

We each have our own ideas about free software. Some computer owners perceive it with hostility and prefer to deal only with commercially distributed products, the cost of which includes not only the honor and respect of developers, but also services. technical support. Others are sure that you won't get far on enthusiasm alone, they predict a sad future for free- and opensource-solutions and, if possible, try to bypass them. Still others, on the contrary, believe in the bright prospects of free and open source software, actively use it in their daily work, and just as zealously promote its use.

One can endlessly list the advantages and disadvantages of gratuitously distributed products, but one cannot but take away from them one important quality- the freedom of choice they provide. If when purchasing software from developers who love hard cash, users usually focus on the thickness of their own wallet, then when choosing free and open source applications, they rely solely on their own needs and imagination. If you don't like one program, you can, with a little effort, try a lot of other products that, in terms of their characteristics, approach, and in some cases even outdo other commercial solutions on the market. In order not to be unfounded, we decided to present a selection of applications for burning optical discs that can be a worthy alternative to paid programs and are obligatory element in the arsenal of every PC user.

⇡InfraRecorder

Developer: infrarecorder.org
Distribution size: 3.3 MB
OS: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7

Open source CD and DVD burning software source codes and supporting work with ISO-, BIN/CUE-images of disks. InfraRecorder works with rewritable and multi-session optical media, can find a common language with Audio CDs and dual-layer DVDs, and is also equipped with functions for cloning discs and checking them for errors. One of the features of the application is the interface, implemented in the style of Windows Explorer and translated into forty-odd languages, including Russian. In addition to the standard editions of the utility for 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, the site of the developer Christian Kindahl presents a portable version of InfraRecorder that works from any flash drive.

⇡ BurnAware Free

Developer: burnaware.com
Distribution size: 5.9 MB
OS: Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista/7

Tool for "burning" CD-, DVD- and Blu-ray discs. The functionality embedded in the program allows you to burn Audio-CD, DVD-Video and MP3 discs, create bootable and multi-session media, and also create ISO images from them. BurnAware Free has a module automatic update through the Internet and a mechanism for checking the recorded data, which allows you to make sure that the process went smoothly. The utility interface is Russified, but the developers did not get around to translating the help. In the process, the accelerator application strives to introduce the Ask.com toolbar into Windows, so for those who decide to twist the tool in their hands, we advise you to be careful when installing it on your computer. It should also be noted that BurnAware Free cannot create exact copies of CDs and DVDs - this feature is present in commercial editions of the product, which are beyond the scope of our review.

⇡ Nero 9 Lite

Developer: nero.com
Distribution size: 31.6 MB
OS: Windows XP/Vista/7

A stripped-down version of the famous Nero Burning ROM disc burning package. It will appeal to those who love Nero products and are ready to put up with the many limitations of the free version of the application. The program can only burn CDs and DVDs, copy them, and also clean rewritable discs and display information reference character about the blanks used. Nero 9 Lite is designed with potential buyers of the full edition of the popular package in mind, and therefore is replete with dialog boxes urging the user to opt for a commercial product. Akin to the aforementioned program, Nero 9 Lite also installs the Ask.com toolbar in the Internet Explorer browser and does so even if the checkbox in the installer settings is unchecked. And although later an unnecessary component can be removed through the Windows control panel, the very fact of the forced installation of the toolbar cannot but be alarming.

⇡ ImgBurn

Developer: imgburn.com
Distribution size: 4.4 MB
OS: all versions of Windows, Linux (when using the Wine environment)

One of the most powerful tools for working with CD, DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray discs. ImgBurn supports BIN, CUE, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI formats, allows the user to create audio CDs from MP3, MP4, MPC, OGG, PCM, WAV, WMA and other files, interacts with any optical drives and can check the quality of the data recording. The program is characterized by a huge number of parameters through which the user can flexibly manipulate the characteristics of the utility and customize it in his own way. No less interesting is the fact that all ImgBurn operations are logged and shown as a report in a special window displayed next to the main application window. It hardly makes sense to recommend this program to novice users, but advanced computer owners should like it.

⇡CDBurnerXP

Developer: cdburnerxp.se
Distribution size: 6.3 MB
OS: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7

The features of this program are a built-in manager for printing disc covers, a module for converting NRG and BIN images to ISO, as well as a rich toolkit for creating audio CDs from MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC and WMA files. Otherwise, CDBurnerXP is practically in no way inferior to ImgBurn, with the exception, perhaps, of the interface, which is easier to use and understandable to ordinary users. Thanks to successful combination of all these factors, the utility was awarded special attention many software portals and online media, including our online publication.

⇡ DeepBurner Free

Developer: deepburner.com
Distribution size: 2.7 MB
OS: all Windows versions

Another alteration of a commercial product, the functionality of which was deliberately curtailed by the developers. DeepBurner Free works with CD and DVD media (including multi-session media), can create audio CDs and burn data borrowed from an ISO image onto discs. A Russified interface made in the style of Windows Explorer, an update checker, drive buffer size settings - all this and much more is implemented in the program. For the convenience of potential users, the creators of DeepBurner Free have provided a portable version of the application, designed to be copied to flash drives and then run on any computer at hand.

⇡ Ashampoo Burning Studio Free

Developer: ashampoo.com
Distribution size: 8.2 MB
OS: Windows XP/Vista/7

Craft of the German company Ashampoo, distributed by the developer not directly from his own site, but through a network of partner sites. It differs from all the above applications in the ability to burn data to CD, DVD, Blu-ray and create Audio-CD, Video-DVD, VCD, SVCD. The program supports more than 1700 different drives, can copy media and create images in ISO, CUE / BIN, ASHDISC formats, and does a good job with rewritable and multi-session discs. If desired, Ashampoo Burning Studio Free can be used as a tool for creating backup copies of data and then restoring information at the right time. The only thing missing in the German product is the function of creating boot disks, which in some cases is extremely useful.

⇡ Burn4Free

Developer: burn4free.com
Distribution size: 2.2 MB
OS: all versions of Microsoft operating systems, starting with Windows 98

A program for burning CD, DVD, AudioCD, equipped with an interface that involuntarily brings tears of sympathy. If you brush them off and try to figure out a bunch of keys, a good half of which, when pressed, redirects to advertised sites, then you can come to the conclusion that Burn4Free actually knows a lot, but getting to the functionality embedded in the product is not so easy because behind ubiquitous pop-up banners. The application burns ISO images, supports various music formats, interacts with more than three thousand models of optical drives and has other talents hidden under a layer of buttons of an archaic and completely stupid interface.

⇡ Small CD Writer

Developer: small-cd-writer.com
Distribution size: 411 kb
OS: Windows (no information on specific versions)

The only program in our review for burning CD and DVD, created by the hands of domestic magicians. Unlike most similar programs, Small CD-Writer has a miniature size, works without installation, does not require space for caching files. The utility allows you to create multi-session and boot disks, burn ISO-images of CDs, view all sessions on a disk and extract files from them, save projects on a computer disk. Automatic detection of the burner and writing speed, coupled with the most simplified interface, allows users of any skill level to work with the program. To transfer files to optical media, just select the "Send to Small CD-Writer" menu item in Windows Explorer and click the "Burn" button in the window that opens.

⇡ Express Burn

Developer: nch.com.au/burn/
Distribution size: 470 kb
OS: all editions of Windows, Mac OS X (from version 10.2)

Another miniature CD, DVD and Blu-ray burner. Despite its modest size, Express Burn has features such as burning user data, creating audio and video discs, copying optical media and working with ISO images. hallmark programs, according to the developers, is a high speed and undemanding to the computing resources of the computer. We could not find any shortcomings in Express Burn. The only disappointment was the lack of a portable edition of the product, designed to run from flash devices.

⇡ Conclusion

Increasingly, in our time, users give preference to flash drives or use mail to send files, but disc burning remains quite relevant. So what is the best disc burning software?

According to all indicators and surveys, Ashampoo Burning Studio Free can be considered the best program for burning discs. But in our review, we offer a few more free programs that can also claim the title of "THE BEST". Before choosing the best "disc burning" program for yourself, you need to consider your own preferences. Maybe for you the main factor is simplicity, not an impressive feature set. Or maybe vice versa.

Ashampoo Burning Studio Free
This program can be considered a giant among its free counterparts. The program is completely free, which surprises users, because the "burner" has such a wide range of functions. In addition to burning and copying discs, Ashampoo Burning Studio Free can work with Blu-ray discs (you can burn up to 25 GB), burn movies to DVD discs, create images and convert audio formats.

In addition, free disc burning software can erase discs, make backups and save projects. The program interface is multilingual, including Russian. Although the program has a wide range of functions, it cannot be said that the interface is overloaded with extra buttons and tabs. Use unhealthy!

CDBurnerXP
This disc burning program is very convenient and functional, it has all the features that one of the best in this segment should have. In addition to burning CD/DVD discs, it supports Blu-ray and HD-DVD, and can also create and burn ISO images.

In addition to these features, CDBurnerXP will help you create a bootable disk with installation files or an operating system. Supports work with multisession disks. The program is one of the best program to burn discs for Windows. We recommend downloading and installing it. If other options do not suit you, the program from this review.

DeepBurner Free
This free version powerful program - DeepBurner Pro. As expected, the program can record SD and DVD discs and also erase them. You can also use it to create ISO images, audio CDs, multisession CDs, in addition, DeepBurner Free supports long names files and can prepare covers or labels for discs.

As for the interface, it is very concise and convenient. During installation, you can select the Russian language for the program, which will be very convenient for users who do not understand English. The DeepBurner Free disc burning software can become an indispensable tool on your computer. One of the complaints about the program can be considered a slow recording speed.

BurnAware Free
If you compare this program with the ones above, then with its help you will not be able to make a boot disk or copy it. This "side" can be considered its main drawback, but you may not need these functions. BurnAware Free is a powerful free disc burning software that handles these functions perfectly.

It allows you to burn data to DVD, CD, Blu-ray discs, as well as burn music to DVD and audio CD. Also BurnAware Free can create multi-session discs. The program interface for burning discs consists of only six buttons and three tabs, there are Russian and Ukrainian languages.

ImgBurn
This program is more suitable for advanced users who can understand the advanced settings and all the features of the "burner". ImgBurn allows you to burn DVD video, audio CD, CD/DVD and Blue-ray discs. In addition to all the above functions, users will also be able to create disc images, and a special DVDInfoPro option allows you to show the recording speed and analyze data while burning discs.

InfraRecorder
This program for burning discs can be considered a kind of "veteran" for burning "blanks". InfraRecorder can do almost everything, namely: burn CDs and DVDs, as well as burn audio and video files to discs and double-layer DVDs. Burning to Blu-ray and HD-DVD is not supported.

But there is no need to be upset about this, because our list is full of programs that support these functions. Also, InfraRecorder will allow you to copy discs, create their images and even simulate recording. The interface is on decent level, it does not shine with "bells and whistles", but should satisfy most users.

Small CD Writer
And finally, the miniature program itself in our review is Small CD-Writer. We can say that this is not even a program, but rather a utility - main function which is the recording of discs. The utility does not even need to be installed in order to burn a disc. Surely to your great surprise, Small CD-Writer can not only burn discs, but also create bootable and multi-session discs, as well as ISO images.

This program is perfect option for fans of small, but rather timid programs. You can launch Small CD-Writer directly from the explorer context menu - "Send to Small CD-Writer".

Summing up this review, we can say the following: for users who value wide functionality, Ashampoo Burning Studio Free, ImgBurn and CDBurnerXP are ideal programs. And for those who are inclined towards simplicity and convenience, DeepBurner Free, BurnAware Free and InfraRecorder, as well as Small CD-Writer - which can be run from a USB flash drive, can come in handy.

Today, to watch videos on the big screen, you do not even need to leave your home. If you have a home theatre, video projector or TV and DVD player, you can burn your favorite movie to DVD and watch it at home whenever you want! In addition, many people store their family video archives on disks in order to free up space on the computer. Indeed, we do not review these recordings so often, and they take up a lot of hard disk space.

There are many programs designed exclusively for burning discs. However, highly specialized products are not always convenient, because writing to disk is usually accompanied by other video processing tasks. For example, you may need to edit the video before recording or improve its quality. Also, sometimes it becomes necessary to rewrite video from VHS tapes to DVD or save a video clip from the Internet to disk. Now you do not need to look for separate programs to solve each of these tasks, because everything you need is in one universal software package - Movavi Video Suite.

This guide will show you how to quickly and easily burn video from your computer to disc using Movavi Video Suite.

Download and install Movavi Video Suite

Download the distribution package of the program to your computer. Run the downloaded file and follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Typically, the installation process takes only a few minutes.

Open disc burning software

After installation is complete, launch Movavi Video Suite. In the main program window, go to the tab Data and select the option Disc burning. Please note that the disc burner is not included in the Movavi Video Suite distribution and must be installed separately. If the module is not already installed on your computer, you will be prompted to download and install it. After the installation is complete, launch the program by selecting the option again Disc burning.

Add video to the program

In the window of the program for burning video to disk, go to the tab Video. Click the button Add files located in the lower left corner of the program window. In the window that opens, select the video file you want to burn to disk and click the button Add files. Once you have added all the required files, click close to return to the program interface.

If you want to add all files from one folder, use the button Add Folder Contents. Video files can also be transferred to the program directly from the Explorer window.

You can add recordings in any popular video formats: AVI, MP4, WMV, MKV, MOV, FLV and more.

Enter a name and select a disk type

First you need to give the disk a name. Enter the desired name in the field Drive name.

You can burn videos to DVD, CD or Blu-ray. There are two options for CD in the program: Video CD And Super Video CD. The Super Video CD standard allows for higher quality video than a Video CD, but will fit on an SVCD less videos than on a VCD.

For DVDs, there are three options: DVD, DVD from VIDEO_TS And AVCHD DVD. AVCHD DVD is a more modern standard than DVD; it allows you to record higher quality videos. However, not all standard DVD drives will read AVCHD DVD discs.

Option DVD from VIDEO_TS designed to burn video to disk from the VIDEO_TS folder. This feature is useful if you previously saved a DVD video disc on your computer and now want to burn its contents to DVD. You can also use this option to copy video from one DVD video disc to another.

We will talk about burning video to disc using DVD as an example. To create a DVD video disc, under Mode you need to check the box DVD.

Specify Disk Settings

In chapter Options you can specify DVD settings. First you need to choose a standard - NTSC or PAL. The choice of standard depends on the geographic region in which you plan to use the disc. If the disc is intended for Russia and the CIS countries, select PAL.

Next, select from the list Quality: Low, Average, high or User Settings. To manually adjust the quality, click the button Tune and set the desired bitrate using the sliders. The higher the bitrate, the higher the video quality, but the more disk space it takes up.

From the list Aspect Ratio choose whether the aspect ratio of the video on the disc is 4:3 (standard video) or 16:9 (widescreen video). If you plan to watch the DVD on a wide screen device such as a Full HD (1920×1080) resolution TV, select 16:9.
