Dita Von Dees and her lovers. Burlesque queen Dita Von Teese style. Look and compare: charming and stunning Dita Von Teese

I have always liked refined, seasoned, elegant women like Lyubov Orlova, like Jackie Kennedy, like Marlene Dietrich, Sophia Loren, Dita von Teese. Speaking of the latter, I found an interesting post. I'm happy to host it

Original taken from ochendaje in silicone breasts!!! So what?

She earned scandalous fame with half-naked dances, then only strengthened her by removing her ribs and unsuccessfully jumping out to marry a half-crazy star. Finding a photo without makeup and without a deep neckline is not easy, but here:

........................................ ........................................ ........................................ ........................................ ........................................

She can no doubt be called the queen of burlesque, corsets and shocking, since it was she who resurrected this seemingly already lost genre of erotic show. Passion within the bounds of decency.

During its heyday in the mid-nineteenth century, burlesque was understood as a comic show, the basis of which was playful and at the same time chaste eroticism. But over time, eroticism has become the main component of the performance, and the comic seems to have faded into the background.

Those dancers who used to participate in burlesque shows began to be called strippers. But they retained the ability to undress on stage very artistically and inventively, and most of them managed to do it with indescribable coquetry and grace.

True, then everything changed, and the teasing dance was replaced by an ordinary striptease, albeit a very beautiful one. And at this moment, Dita Von Teese appears on the stage, wrapped in a stunning retro corset. It makes the seemingly forever lost genre breathe in a new way.

Yes, and from the very beginning, when in the nineties eighteen-year-old Dita decided to make a revolution in the world of striptease, she did not have a single worthy rival. She won thanks to the unusualness of her vintage outfits, her own plasticity, knowledge of classical dance and uncontrollable imagination. Her unique femininity made everyone talk only about her!

On the left is Dita with her sisters, on the right is Dita with her mother and an unusual background

Dita von Teese is just a stage name that Heather Rene Sweet took for herself in honor of 1920s movie star Dita Parlo. Back in the early nineties, Dita began to work on her image, which later became her hallmark.

A native of Michigan, the daughter of a beautician, has had a passion for films and musicals since childhood. Enchanted by Old Hollywood

As a child, she began to study classical ballet, and her main ambition is to become a famous dancer. After, she will use ballet skills in burlesque performances, dancing in pointe shoes.

When Dita was a teenager, her mother bought her her first bra, plain white cotton, and skin-colored tights. Incredibly disappointed, Dita began to think about getting a job and buying herself the underwear of her dreams: she would like underwear with lace, and stockings similar to those worn by her father's favorite actresses from magazines. At the age of fifteen, she gets a job as a saleswoman in a lingerie store.

Here, Dita will allow herself to purchase everything she needs. Passion for vintage clothes will open the doors of fashion history college for her, and Dita gives up on the idea of becoming a dancer, now she dreams of becoming a costume designer for shows and films.

Her career as a dancer in a strip club began at the age of nineteen. She created numbers inspired by the style of the 40s. The audience was delighted. The image of the diva - 40's was formed in the styled hair, gloves to the elbow, corsets and garters, all this charmed clients and brought unprecedented success to the aspiring stripper.

Many women want to become actresses, fashion models, but no one dreams of the laurels of a great stripper, she sighs. - I did not want to be like everyone else, so I said: I want to be a stripper! And I do not regret my choice at all, because now I have no rivals!

At the beginning of her career, Dina Von Teese also takes part in several erotic films, such as "Sarah's Romance", "A Matter of Trust" and others.

In fact, Dita is a natural blonde with a delicate face, but it was far from being able to light up. So, in a world populated by glossy magazines offering blonde hair and tanned skin, Dita dyes her hair black, darkens her eyebrows, wears bright red lipstick, and keeps her snow-white skin out of the sun.

Dita's height, about 1.60 m, and she, significantly standing out among many others, begins to work as a model for fetish magazines. And not only fetishists, but also latex lovers themselves begin to appreciate alternative beauty, soon it becomes one of the muses for many artists. Among the artists in question, one cannot fail to mention the famous French fashion designer of exclusive shoes, Christian Louboutin, who is now a great friend of Von Teese, and presents shoe collections for each of her shows.

To seduce a man you don't have to be beautiful. Seduction is first and foremost a game.

A true queen of seduction, Dita Von Teese poses for the American Playboy magazine. In early 2000, he met Marilyn Manson and a romantic relationship began between them. The wedding, which was directed by director Alejandro Jodorowsky, took place in perfect gothic style - nineteenth-century dresses, an Irish castle in County Tipperary. The wedding photos were published in Vogue.

But the union fell apart due to "irreconcilable differences" and "many demons" attacking the musician. Von Teese, trying to overcome the crisis with humor, gives permission to Penthouse magazine to publish some of his sexy photos, but on the condition that the material comes out under the heading: "This is what was lost by Manson."

I've been in a relationship in the past with men who treated me like a queen, and at the same time treated others as if they simply did not exist. He was the first who charmed me, made me feel, and it was with him that I learned what rudeness and disrespect towards me are, and I don’t like it at all. So now I prefer to surround myself with people who have their own charm, elegance and who are familiar with good manners."

Bad boys are like fast food nice, but not for permanent consumption.

She constantly wears stockings with garters, lace graces, long gloves and hats with veils, as well as corsets, luxurious dresses and veiled hats. And this is all not only for the stage, but also in everyday life. Dita remains faithful to burlesque not only on stage, but also beyond it, and this, as the queen of Russian modern burlesque Lyalya Bezhetskaya said, is an integral part of the style.

Oddly enough, but Dita managed to take her career beyond the porn industry and simple striptease, and today the previously carefully guarded doors of the high fashion world are wide open to the queen of burlesque.

She is present at the shows of the best fashion houses, where she sits in the front row. Luxury lingerie manufacturer Wonderbra invites her to work on a joint collection. She starred in films, sometimes in small but spectacular roles. She is often compared to a porcelain doll because of her perfectly white skin, impeccable make-up, hair styling, manicure…

Dita herself admits that in order to preserve the image of a pale-skinned beauty of the thirties, she leads an almost vampire lifestyle. “I try not to go out in the sun, and when I do, I use strong protective creams,” she said. And during the incessant wearing of a corset, the "Queen of Burlesque" formed a waist of only 55 cm in circumference.

Lingerie is her fetish, a ticket to a world of great opportunities, a small weakness that eventually turned into big business. “Just think, it turns out that with the help of expensive panties, a girl from the outback can transform into a metropolitan lady with world fame.

Dita can hardly be seen in jeans and sneakers, and casual style is clearly not for her. She prefers hairpins, stockings, dresses, corsets, which have the most diverse designs, and can also be made from the most unexpected materials. Make-up must have red lips and thickly lined eyes.

Every morning, the queen of burlesque dresses in the image of a femme fatale, while she herself enjoys every detail of her dress. Her image is her own choice, since everything - from the selection of clothes to the smallest details of makeup - Dita selects herself. She is always true to the pin up image, so even in the season when everyone around is dressed in black and gray clothes, she does not part with outfits of bright colors.

We probably missed the beauties of the "golden age" of Hollywood. Ava Gardner, Veronica Lake, Jean Tierney, Vivien Leigh - all of them with their styled curls, flawless makeup, high heels and endlessly feminine handbags still excite the imagination of not only men, but also women.

Dita resurrected retro-chic, bringing back to life the images of her idols - movie stars of the forties and fifties. At the same time, for the last ten years she has been invariably faithful to the image of a fatal brunette, explaining this by the fact that she never wanted to be Lolita. Dita admits in one of her interviews: “I like experienced, grown-up ladies who don’t lisp, don’t whine and never complain.”

Style has nothing to do with fashion. Don't try to follow the fashion of the season. Sometimes people think that a natural look can be achieved quickly, but this is not the case.

I have never had an obsession look young at any cost. The women I admire and who have inspired me in my work have been known for their elegance, no matter their age.

I remember my age and I try to behave accordingly. I know that I am not the best dancer or the prettiest or the youngest. I'm just different from everyone. And always passionately wanted to achieve a lot!

I'm not afraid to appear without makeup. I do not lose confidence in myself, I do not hide anything. People who see me for the first time without makeup are simply shocked: “Yes, you look like a 16-year-old teenager!” I love being a little girl but this look is only for my family, my friends and my loved one.

Many say that being a stripper is indecent. May be. But believe me, getting twenty thousand dollars for a ten-minute speech is very decent.

You can be the juiciest peach but there will still be people who don't like peaches.

Dress up as a lady became fashionable about 4 years ago. I have looked like this since I was 18.

Everyone needs at least in a small fraction of beauty just for yourself. Imagine you are doing your usual business, work in the office or at home, and at the same time you know that you have a little secret. That secret is lovely underwear. Nice lingerie is not something you should wear for your lover. You must wear it for yourself.

Many men and women admire the appearance of Dita Von Teese - the stars of modern erotic shows, models, film actresses. Her unusual image inspires artists and fashion designers. And the world-famous shoe designer Christian Lobutin is so delighted with the outrageous dancer that he provides a collection of shoes for each of her numbers. But most people who follow the life of a star are wondering what Dita Von Teese's face looks like without makeup. A few photos of different quality - old and new - will help you look at the world-famous burlesque dancer from a different perspective.

What are Dita Von Teese's real features

In various interviews, Dita recalls that she never wanted to become a model or actress, like other girls, her main passion was erotic dancing and fashion design. From an early age, she reviewed several times the films of the 40s, the main characters of which are examples of elegance, sensuality, and impeccable style. Then the girl decided to forever abandon jeans, T-shirts and simple, discreet makeup, dye her natural blond hair black and perform in front of the public with erotic numbers organized in the style of burlesque.

The outrageous celebrity understands that many people are interested in how she looks without makeup. To numerous questions from journalists about this, Dita replies that she is not at all afraid that she will be seen in a natural way, she will not lose self-confidence. The burlesque star often says that she likes the look of strong, elegant, self-confident women. Working on her appearance, Dita tries to reflect this ideal. To maintain attractiveness, a celebrity is constantly involved in sports, monitors nutrition.

Many of the star's friends, seeing Dita without makeup for the first time, exclaim in surprise that she should not be given more than sixteen years old - her face looks so sweet, innocent. The celebrity says that she likes to feel not only a fatal seductive beauty, but also a little girl. However, this image is intended only for the closest friends, relatives and loved one.

Eyes

Dita is the owner of beautiful green eyes. In the photos where the celebrity is without makeup, you can see that they are small in size. To make the look more expressive, sensual and sexy, the burlesque star uses black eyeliner, which also visually makes the eyes look bigger. In the pictures without makeup, Dita, thanks to her bright eyes, looks cute, innocent and gentle. Signature arrows and fluffy eyelashes play a big role in creating a fatal stage image. Compare the eyes of a celebrity in two photos:

Nose

Perhaps the size of Dita's nose is the only flaw in her appearance, it stands out against the background of small facial features, but this does not bother the dancer. The burlesque star easily hides the large size of this part of the face with the help of sculptural makeup, visually making the nose neat and elegant. In an interview, Dita often says that you need to choose the trait that you like the most and focus on it. It can be a large chest, a graceful neck, a beautiful shape of the lips or eyes, and imperfections can be easily hidden by choosing the right clothes or cosmetics.

Brows

Dita Von Teese never appears in public with unkempt eyebrows. In a celebrity, they are clear, black curved lines that contrast with the pale skin of the face, which perfectly emphasize the eyes. The star follows the beautiful shape of the eyebrows not only when applying makeup for public appearances, but also in everyday life. If you look at her natural photographs, it is noticeable that this facial feature also looks neat on them - the eyebrows are shaped hair to hair. They do not contrast much with the skin, but emphasize its healthy, radiant appearance, and therefore look great.

Lips

Being the owner of a beautiful, graceful lip shape, Dita never paints them otherwise than in red, purple or wine colors. The burlesque star has not used pale lipstick since her youth, trying to achieve a bright, catchy, provocative shade of a sensual, sexual message. The star admits that, although she feels good without makeup with loved ones, she feels very uncomfortable in public places without red lipstick.

cheekbones

This girl cannot be called thin, on the contrary, the hips and breasts of the diva look magnificent and seductive, although the celebrity is the owner of a narrow wasp waist (55 centimeters). Despite the slightly plump face, the high cheekbones of the burlesque star look amazing, have a clear sculptural shape - even with no makeup, they are perfectly visible. When applying cosmetics, Dita deliberately emphasizes this facial feature with foundation, powder, blush, so that the cheekbones stand out even more, become more elegant.

What does Dita Von Teese look like without makeup: photo

Many people, looking at photos of Dita Von Teese without makeup, are convinced that this woman, even at her forties, still looks amazingly young. The celebrity does not hide the fact that her appearance is the result of hard training, plastic surgery, sleep with rest and proper nutrition. The star says that she carefully monitors external and internal health, so when the slightest problem appears, she goes to visit a general practitioner or dermatologist. In photos without makeup, the face of a celebrity looks fresh, radiant, natural.

If we compare photos of the star in the usual stage and natural images, it is noticeable that Dita looks beautiful in both cases, only in the photo without makeup her face looks younger, more innocent. The secret of the natural beauty of a celebrity is good skin, which is the result of proper nutrition, a healthy lifestyle. Photos of a girl without makeup show that the abundance of foundation with powder does not mask the flaws of a woman at all, but is only part of her unique look.

Dita herself says that she monitors the condition of her skin with special care: she tries not to appear in the sun once again, and if she goes out somewhere in sunny weather, she always uses protective creams. In the summer, her constant companion is sunglasses. A celebrity never misses the opportunity to fully sleep, relax. This is one of the secrets to her amazing skin tone.

Blonde Dita in her youth

It's hard to believe that the sweet, smiling blonde from the old photos of almost twenty-five years ago is Dita Von Teese. Being a pretty girl with a touching gentle face, Heather (the true name of the diva) wanted to stand out, because she understood that in such an image she would not achieve fame. The theme of her numbers required a certain look: sexy, attractive, seductive, fatal. When the girl graduated from ballet school, she gradually dyed her natural blond black and began to organize incredible shows in a strip club.

Burlesque star today

Von Teese will soon be forty-three years old, but the celebrity still looks amazing, impresses men and women from all over the world with her numbers. It is difficult to find modern photos of a burlesque star without makeup, but it is easy to imagine that the diva's face still looks fresh, gentle and beautiful. A celebrity in our time represents some cosmetic companies, starred in clips and movies.

Video: how the appearance of the burlesque queen changed

The world-famous Dita von Teese at an early age decided which image and profession she was close to. This was facilitated by a love for old films, an impeccable sense of taste, and the end of a ballet school. As a stage appearance for an erotic burlesque show, the girl chose her complete opposite: instead of a pretty blonde, a bright brunette appeared in the world, who later managed to win the hearts of many people. The transitional stage between light and dark hair was a red shade of hair. Watch the video below, which clearly shows how her appearance changed.

She shocks and captivates, every day she looks like a girl from the cover of an expensive gloss, although she says that her style has not changed for 20 years. She does not use the services of stylists and makeup artists, because in the evening she knows what hairstyle, makeup and how long the dress will be on her tomorrow. At the same time, eminent designers consider her their muse.

Dita Von Teese was not born in a corset and with porcelain skin - she made herself. Her real name is Heather Rene Sweet, and Dita is a pseudonym. The girl was born on September 28, 1972 in the American city of Rochester. Dita's mother worked as a manicurist, and her father worked as a machinist. In addition to Heather, two more sisters were growing up in the family.

Dita did not dream of becoming an actress or model, like many girls, the only thing that fascinated her was dancing. Heather studied ballet from an early age and wanted to become a professional ballerina. At the age of 13, the girl already danced solo, and at the age of 15 she reached, as she says, the peak of her abilities.

Soon my father changed jobs - the family moved to California. This is now Dita von Teese says that she has no complexes, but there are several moments in her biography that she does not like to remember. Heather was considered an inconspicuous girl, for which she suffered attacks and insults from her classmates. She was not just humiliated - she was beaten, and Heather cried and wanted to become a beauty, so that all the boys were crazy and the girls envied.

At the age of 14, Dita said that she would no longer endure humiliation. She dramatically changed her image: kilograms of cosmetics appeared on her face, revealing clothes on her body. Now the teenage girl did not hesitate to seduce the boys with a deep neckline and short shorts. Later, Dita von Teese admitted that she had experienced childhood tears and was grateful to them for helping her become who she is.

At the age of 15, she got a job in a pizzeria, and then in a lingerie store. There was pocket money that the girl spent on cosmetics and clothes. After high school, Heather went to college, where she studied the history of the costume, and at the age of 19 she began dancing in strip clubs, the first of which was Captain Cream. The girl included elements of ballet in her dance.

Work and study exhausted Heather greatly - at the age of 20 she lost a lot of weight, and the very next year she underwent plastic surgery to increase her breasts: this was the first, but not the last operation. Dita Von Teese does not hide the fact that she reshaped herself to the ideal. The seductive mole on her cheek is also artificial.

The girl changed her hair color and turned into a burning brunette with a hairstyle in the style of retro diva Lauren Bacall. The corset, black gloves and lace underwear became the favorite items of women's clothing for performances. The corset, as the dancer later explained, allows you to achieve ideal figure parameters. So with a height of 163 cm and a weight of 52 kg, the artist’s waist when using this wardrobe item decreases from 56 cm to 42 cm.

Dita used the retro style from the first appearances on the stage, despite the fashion for the “girls next door” image and the cowboy style that existed in striptease in the early 90s.

The dancer began to be called Dita after a year of work in a strip club. The girl chose the name in honor of the star of European cinema of the 30s Dita Parlo. And when, in 1999, Heather was offered to pose for Playboy, it was necessary to indicate the full name of the model. Dita opened the telephone directory and chose the name von Treese. By chance, the editors did not see a typo in the issue, the signature “Dita von Teese” appeared in the magazine - and it remained so.

Early years

Dita Von Teese (real name - Heather Rene Sweet) was born on September 28, 1972 in Rochester, USA; the middle of three daughters in the family. Her mother worked as a manicurist and her father worked as a machinist for a graphite company. Dita has Armenian roots.

It is known that Dita Von Teese has a passion for cinema and the style of the 1940s. It is on this that her image as a dancer and model is based. The hobby began at an early age, and Dita's mother contributed to it. She bought the girl outfits in retro style, as she herself was fond of old cinema.

Also from an early age, Dita studied ballet. Already at the age of 13, she danced solo numbers at the local theater. Despite the fact that Dita dreamed of becoming a ballerina, according to her own statements, at the age of 15 she had already achieved the best that she was capable of. However, the girl applied her dancing skills later, when she devoted herself to dancing in the style of burlesque. In her numbers, Dita often dances in pointe shoes.

When the company where Dita's father worked changed location, the family moved from Michigan to Orange County, California. There, Dita attended Irvine University High School.

As a teenager, Dita's mother took her to a lingerie store to buy the girl's first bra. The bra, given by her mother, was made of plain cotton, and in addition to it, the girl received two plastic eggs with wrinkled flesh-colored tights inside. As Dita herself says, she was very upset about this, because she hoped to get the beautiful lingerie that she saw on the girls from Playboy magazine. Passion for him has become the fundamental style of Dita. At the age of 15, she worked in a lingerie store, where she rose from the position of a seller to.

In college, Von Teese studied costume history and aspired to work as a film costume designer. At the moment, Dita Von Teese is a qualified costume designer and stylist of her own.

“No, it was not at all difficult for me to come up with a photo shoot - after all, this is how I look every day, including at home.”

“One of the reasons why I decided to develop my own image is that for me those types that are usually shown as sex symbols of our culture are unacceptable. I have never been fascinated by natural beauty, and I did not feel that I could be attractive without makeup. And no matter what I do, I'm not going to be like girls like Gisele Bundchen. Never! I like to fantasize and use glamor as my own way of being sexy."

Career

Fetish and glamor

Von Teese has achieved a certain level of recognition in the fetish field. For many years of wearing a narrow, she has achieved a reduction in the volume of her waist to 56 centimeters. In a corset, her waist can be pulled up to 42 centimeters. At the moment, Dita's height is 165 centimeters, and her weight is 52 kilograms.

Dita Von Teese has appeared on the cover of a number of fetish magazines, including Bizarre and Marquis. Also, her photograph graced the cover of Midori's book The Art of Seducing the Japanese Bandage. In 1999, 2000 and 2002, the model starred for Playboy magazine, in 2002 Dita appeared on its cover.

German metal band Atrocity chose Dita Von Teese as their cover model for their album in 2008.

Burlesque

Passion for open and seductive lace lingerie led Dita (at that time - Heather) to the fact that at the age of 18 she got into the dancers of the Captain Cream strip club. Heather quickly noticed that all the other girls have absolutely no personality, and all their numbers are too faded and the same type. She armed herself with her favorite lingerie sets, complementing them with lace gloves, graces, corsets, luxurious and garters, feathers and other decorative details and created a unique one that distinguished her from others.

“What I love about costumes is the power of transformation they have. Here I am sitting naked, hair in curlers, then I put on shoes and stockings. And now everything is put on and buttoned up, and I suddenly appear completely different and say: “It's time to go out!” I often joke that what I lack in talent I make up for in costumes!”

In addition, she came up with a stage name for herself, which later became her full name. Heather has always liked surnames with the prefix "fon". She chose the name Dita (borrowed from the actress Dita Parlo, whom she admires) and the comic surname Teese, which sounds like the English word "tease" ("teasing"). So she became Dita Von Teese and began working in the burlesque style that made her famous.

"Don't relax! Even when alone at home, before going to bed, I undress like a real queen. I take off my stockings like I'm on stage and hundreds of people are watching me."

This dance direction brought Dita Von Teese immense popularity. In the press, the girl is known precisely as the "queen of burlesque." She began performing in the genre in 1992 and helped revive and popularize it. In her own words, she "returned temptation to striptease." The complex and long dance shows, which included a lot of props, were inspired by musicals and films of the 1930s and 1940s. Some of the more famous dances feature horse carousels, a giant powder box and a real bathtub with a working shower. A feather fan from her dance, inspired by burlesque dancer Sally Rand, is now on display at the Hollywood Museum of Sex. Dita Von Teese's signature show is a dance in a huge Martini glass.

“Burlesque is my first love. And to be honest, it's really important to me that people know that striptease has a great history. And I would never change the choice I made once in my life.

Dita Von Teese's burlesque career includes some particularly memorable performances. One day, the dancer showed up at the Hollywood Academy of the Arts wearing a $5 million diamond-encrusted costume. In addition, Dita became the first guest celebrity to perform at the Crazy Horse Cabaret in Paris in 2006.

“In my opinion, Paris is a city that knows how to appreciate its dancers, and I think it's time for me to raise the bar. In addition, the Crazy Horse cabaret itself has always attracted me - ever since I was a teenager.

In the same year, Von Teese appeared on the 7th season of the American show with a training program for the participants aimed at seduction through burlesque. In 2007, the dancer performed with the Italian rock noir band Belladonna at the London adult festival Erotica 07.

In addition, in 2009, Dita von Teese performed at the international Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. She appeared on stage as part of a German group. Dita later admitted that her performance was censored due to the fact that the dancer's chest was too open.

Film career and filming in video clips

In addition to the modeling and dancing career of Dita Von Teese, her appearance on the silver screen can also be noted. Early in her career, she appeared in fetish and porn films such as Romancing Sara (1995) and Matter of Trust (1997), where she acted under the name Heather Sweet. Dita also took part in the filming of two pornographic films by Andrew Blake: Pin Ups 2 (1999) and Decadence (2000).

In recent years, Dita has starred in mainstream films. For example, in 2005, she starred in the short film The Death of Salvador Dali, which received several awards at various film festivals, including the award for Best Actress for Von Teese. In 2007, Dita starred in the films Saint Francis and The Boom Boom Room.

In addition to this, the girl participated in the filming of several video clips, including the video "Redundant" by Green Day and "Zip Gun Bop" by the Royal Crown Revue, a brand video filmed for a cover version of the Joy Division song "She's Lost Control" and in Marilyn Manson video for the song "Mobscene". Dita also appeared in a George Michael concert video, where she danced to the song "Feelin' Good".

However, Dita herself admitted that acting is not the main thing for her. She prefers to play only those roles that she feels:

“I don’t understand why women, as soon as they become famous, tend to act in films. Personally, I consider roles that are aesthetically correct for me."

In early 2011, Dita played herself in an episode of CSI: "A Kiss Before Frying", however her name was changed to Rita von Squeeze.

Dita Von Teese is a frequent guest at fashion shows, for example, and where she always sits in the forefront. The clothes of these labels were seen on the girl more than once. The name of Dita Von Teese can often be seen in the tops of the "Best Dressed Celebrities".

“I like black because it brings attention to the face, but in general I wear all colors. I really like the shades of gemstones, for example. I also often choose colors that go with my red nails and red lipstick."

Several times Dita herself appeared on. In 2004, she walked in the Heatherette fashion show as part of Los Angeles Fashion Week. In 2005, von Teese also appeared in the Paris show of the autumn-winter collection (Giambattista Valli) - the designer of the Ungaro brand. In 2006, at Milan Fashion Week, von Teese opened the Cheap & Chic Fall/Winter 2006-2007 collection. In 2007, she appeared twice in the show (Jean-Paul Gaultier) at the Paris Fashion Week.

In addition to this, Dita has participated in several advertising campaigns. These include campaigns by British label Vivienne Westwood (Spring/Summer 2005) and Australian label Wheels and Dollbaby (Spring/Summer 2006 and Spring/Summer 2007). She appeared on the covers of fashion magazines such as Tatler, Elle and many others.

Dita was also one of the celebrities who became the face of the MAC cosmetics brand and their Viva Glam collection (lipsticks and glosses, all proceeds from which are transferred to the AIDS Foundation, and are also used to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS).

Together with Wonderbra, Dita Von Teese has already released two collections of underwear. The third collection is being prepared for presentation in 2012. In addition, the model collaborated with the Italian fashion Moschino, with whom she released a line of sleep masks. Lines of underwear from Dita Von Teese are also offered by the Australian brand Target. Her collection titled "Von Follies by Dita Von" is being prepared for presentation on March 10, 2012.

In October 2011, Von Teese launched her first perfume, Femme Totale.

“Men love not only with their eyes, but also with their nose. It is important not only to choose the right perfume, but also to show a sense of proportion. It should only smell when it leans towards you."

In the same month, Dita presented a collection of dresses called "Muse". It features retro dresses and layered dresses entirely designed by her. This collection was presented exclusively in Australia by designer David Jones.

In 2011, Dita also took part in the filming of a video advertising a new Renault car model. In addition to Dita, singer Rihanna (Rihanna) and football player Thierry Henry (Thierry Henry) starred in advertising. A series of commercials was launched on the air on February 7, 2011.

At the end of 2011, the image of Dita Von Teese appeared on bottles of Perrier mineral water.

At the moment, the model is developing its own line of cosmetics.

Musical activities

In March 2009, it became known that Dita Von Teese had begun recording her debut album. The model signed a contract with the record label Interscope in Europe.

“Soon you will realize that I can not only dance, but also sing,”

Dita commented on the news.

Books

Dita Von Teese's first book, Burlesque and the Art of the Teese/Fetish and the Art of the Teese, was released in 2006. In it, Dita expresses her own opinion about the origin of fetish and burlesque, and also tells the history of these art genres. Then Vanity Fair magazine called her the "Superheroine of Burlesque."

In December 2009, the second book of the model, “Dita. StripTeese. ”, dedicated to beauty, self-care and the secrets of her dance. In this book, Dita gives step-by-step descriptions of her preparations for social events, filming, presentations, shows. The book includes advice on makeup, hair, body care.

“I want to tell you how from a blonde, an ordinary girl from a small Michigan town, I suddenly turned into a real phenomenon in the world of glamour, into a phenomenon that, frankly, has never existed before. How to become different, how to create yourself!”

Burlesque Queen Beauty Rules

Dita Von Teese willingly shows off her skin (“My nudity is my stage costume,” she says): you can easily notice that both on the face and on the body it is the same amazing matte milky shade. The main effect, of course, is achieved with the help of contrast: the gray-eyed blonde deliberately opted for dark hair. However, this would not be enough: it is important to properly store the gift of nature. It is definitely not a matter of cosmetic camouflage - everyone who saw Dita up close notes the natural beauty and flawlessness of her skin. Of course, she uses powder and makeup, but not to hide flaws.

“I am not going to spend hundreds of dollars on a salon where they will do everything that I can do myself, and besides, with love. Makeup: concealer, powder, mascara and lipstick. Styling: chignon. The whole procedure takes no more than 10 minutes. The main thing is to get your hands on it."

Dita Von Teese's first rule: balanced moderate diet. She has long and completely abandoned high-calorie foods, including sweets, and eats only boiled meat and steamed fish. No fast food, no small snacks: Dita eats several times a day in small portions and drinks a lot of non-carbonated water. Eating right and drinking plenty of water help wastes and toxins to be removed from the body in a timely manner.

“I’m not just a big“ diet addict ”, I eat, for example, quite a lot of fish and chicken. It’s hard to eat right when you travel a lot, but I try.”

“Somehow I went to a nutritionist and asked: “What should I do? My shows are at night, I really want to eat after them! But before going to bed you can’t! ” He told me that this opinion is already outdated. The main thing is what is. In general, I was very happy about this wonderful news!”

The second rule of Dita Von Teese: regular non-extreme loads. For many years, Dita swims in the pool at least an hour a day and does yoga and Pilates alone. Fitness, like any other public sport, she does not practice and even criticizes: in her opinion, dialogue with one's own body is what a person should do alone with himself. Dita denies rumors that she uses the recipe, and every day she lies in a bath with crushed ice - according to von Teese, this is unpleasant. Systematic soft and comfortable loads allow you to avoid stress, stay in shape and keep your skin toned.

“Work on yourself, sparing no effort. My wasp waist, for example, is the result of exhausting daily Pilates, yoga, ballet, and a strict diet. Sometimes I flip through a magazine and see some stunningly beautiful actress who claims to eat pizza every day and doesn't bother at all about how she looks. It's all nonsense. I don’t understand why in our time it has become so embarrassing to admit that you are working on yourself, trying to look better.

The third rule of Dita Von Teese: the sun is the enemy of girls. Frau von Teese rarely leaves the house during daylight hours, and if she has to do so, she always takes a large one with her and applies a sun blocking cream with an SPF 50 protection factor to exposed areas of the body. This not only maintains a captivating snow-whiteness, but also minimizes the risk of skin cancer.

The fourth rule of Dita Von Teese: lots of sleep. She never stays for after-night parties and all sorts of after-parties.

“If there is an opportunity to go home and go to bed, I will use it,”

- says the star of the elite striptease.

A sufficient amount of rest allows the recovery processes in the epidermis to go through a full cycle, prevents the appearance of edema and dark circles under the eyes.

Dita Von Teese's Fifth Rule: do not try to deal with skin problems on your own or wait until they pass by themselves - contact a dermatologist immediately. Dita has long and faithfully visited the same Hollywood specialist, whose name, however, was not disclosed. The doctor knows the features of her skin well and accurately selects the treatment if necessary. The star knows: trying to fix the skin in order with their own modest efforts can turn into even more problems:

"I think it's better to spend money on a dermatologist than to buy 10 "magic" creams a year, which are also ineffective."

Hobbies

The personal life of Dita Von Teese takes place between Hollywood and Paris.

She collects antique Chinese porcelain, in particular egg cups and tea sets. In addition, the girl has a passion for corsets, beautiful lingerie, cocktail shakers and ballet pointe shoes.

Dita owns several expensive cars. These are a 1938 Packard One Twenty Eight, a 1946 Ford Super De Luxe, a 1965 Jaguar S-Type, and a BMW Z4. She also owned a 1939 Chrysler New Yorker from 2007 to 2010.

As you know, from 2005 to 2007, Dita Von Teese was married to Marilyn Manson. Prior to this marriage, she dated Social Distortion band member Mike Ness and actor Peter Sarsgaard.

At the moment, the girl is in a relationship with the French aristocrat Louis-Marie de Castelbajac (Louis-Marie de Castelbajac).

Dita Von Teese also admitted that at the age of 20 she had a homosexual experience, which included a serious relationship with a woman.

Von Teese speaks openly about her plastic surgery: the model has enlarged her breasts, and also made a tattoo in the form of a mole on her cheekbone.

“It's no secret that I have increased the bust. When I was a teenager, I had quite large breasts, and there was a period in my life when I went to parties and did drugs. Three years later, I was as thin as a skeleton and looked very bad. I almost gave up. I became forgetful, could hardly remember something and concentrate. Suddenly I lost my luxurious breasts that I had.

Relationship with Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson has long been a fan of Dita Von Teese and was even a member of her fan club on the official website. They first met at one of the social events, then Manson invited von Teese to participate in the filming of his music video. Since at that moment Dita did not have such an opportunity, they exchanged contacts and kept in touch.

“I was dressed to the nines: in a luxurious hat with a bird, long gloves, a suit and a veil, and he constantly followed me. Feeling his eyes on me, I turned and asked, “Is there anything I can help you with?”

Dita Von Teese arrived at a party in honor of Marilyn's 32nd birthday with a bottle of absinthe, after which they declared themselves a couple. On March 22, 2004, Marilyn Manson proposed to Dita Von Teese and presented a 1930 ring with a round European cut diamond. The couple's marriage ceremony took place on November 28, 2005 as a private social event.

The grand wedding ceremony took place on December 3, 2005 at Gurteen Castle, owned by their friend Gottfried Helnwein, located in Kilshealan, Ireland. The wedding was directed by surrealist and comic book writer Alejandro Jodorowsky. Now the luxurious lilac wedding dress of Dita Von Teese, made by the British, is participating in the traveling exposition of the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum - Museum of London).

On December 29, 2006, Von Teese filed for divorce from Manson, citing "irreconcilable differences". She left their house empty-handed on Christmas Eve without even informing Manson of her intention to end the marriage. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Von Teese says:

“I don't support his party ideas or his relationships with other girls. As much as I love it, I'm not going to be a part of it."

Von Teese also stated that she gave Manson an ultimatum, but it didn't work.

"Instead of making concessions to me, he made me an enemy"

she admitted.

Von Teese did not demand financial support from her ex-husband and, apparently, was not interested in his assets. On January 5, 2007, on his birthday, Marilym Manson signed the divorce papers.

“I had my engagement diamond converted into a stunning ring at Christian Dior in Paris. It is beautiful and big. It seemed to me that I was suffering a lot because of this diamond, and he needed a rebirth in order to become better. But the most extravagant act after the divorce, when I moved out from my ex-husband, was that I ordered myself a pink electric stove and refrigerator in the style of the 50s.

Interview with Chris Urankar (Nine to Five Online Edition)

Chris Urankar (CW): When did your passion for lace, luxury and other splendor first manifest itself?

Dita Von Teese (DFT): Well, I wanted to be a ballerina when I was a little girl. I believe that ballet costumes and theatrical make-up played some role in this. In addition, I became obsessed with beautiful lingerie, not just its appearance, I perceived it as a rite of passage into women. I was constantly rummaging through my mother's linen drawer and dreaming of the day when I could finally wear these things! Therefore, for me, lingerie is just a way of seduction, it is part of the art of being a woman.

KU: In your photo shoots, you often imitate the "Queen of the Curves" Bettie Page. What made her your source of inspiration?

DFT: Yes, Bettie Page is one of my biggest inspirations. But people often get confused, because I usually say that my main glamor idol is Betty Grable. It confuses fans. I think it was because she was blonde and I was brunette. Therefore, it is much more logical for many to consider Paige as my idol. But, you know, it's not about hair color, it's about spirit. I am inspired by all kinds of women, but I have never imitated any particular personality. My image and my style is a compilation of inspiration from many things plus decades of my own evolution. Bettie Page was a huge inspiration to me as a 90s fetish model because I think she brought something light and playfully sensual to the dark world of fetishism. But Betty was never a burlesque or showgirl star. But many people associate it with burlesque. This is a complete misrepresentation of her. At the time when she was a pin-up model, the era of burlesque had already ended, and Betty never appeared on stage as a striptease star. So my inspiration comes from burlesque and showgirl stars like Betty Grable played in the 1940s. Her films have really been the biggest inspiration for me!

KU: How did you feel when Vanity Fair once called you the "Superheroine of Burlesque"?DFT: At that moment, I felt that I had a significant reputation, and this motivated me to work harder on myself as an artist. I wanted to stage and show even more grandiose burlesque shows! It made me evolve rather than sit and pat myself on the back. KU: In an interview with the British Telegraph, you said that you don't understand why most women, once they become famous, want to act in films. What about you? What roles attract you?

DFT: I meant that acting is, of course, good, and I act in films when I feel that the role really suits me. But this is not such an important occupation for me, if compared with striptease and my burlesque productions. I will say more, I do not pretend to be a movie star at all. I prefer to be famous in the field of striptease, like my idols Rose Lee and Lily St. Cyr. But this is what I feel. I love what I do, I love to think about the concept of the show and direct it, and acting does not give me the creative space that I need. Maybe this means that I will always be known much less than the stars and movies and TV shows, pop stars ... But I don't care. I am very happy to be myself and do what I do best! I would like more people to enjoy doing what they do best rather than trying to be someone under someone else's pressure. However, if everything matches correctly in the future, then maybe I will develop in other directions. But now my main goal is to do my shows and change the way people think about striptease.

KU:Can you describe your approach to red carpet dressing? You are on the lists of the most well-dressed celebrities, you have a taste for ...

DFT: I do not use the services of stylists, I choose all my outfits for the red carpet myself. I even do my own hair and makeup. This is all part of me, it allows me to realize who I am and where I am at the moment. I love the sense of independence that this independence gives me, and I love the fact that I myself do the work of an entire team of stylists. Being the only celebrity who does everything herself and at the same time is on the lists of the best dressed stars - it brings me complete satisfaction! And I think it's very important to show other women that they can look great without anyone's help. In my opinion, the key to impeccable individual style is independence. I never pay attention to statements. According to the press, sometimes I am dressed better, and sometimes worse. I respect my own sense of style and think that if something feels right to me, then it's right!

KU: Are you sure that you have never resorted to the services of a stylist? Maybe yes, for once?

DFT: One day I trusted my intuition and called a stylist to my house to help me complete my vintage collection. I remember she took a pair of wonderful vintage ones and said, “They look so cute with jeans!”. And then I realized that she didn’t know anything about me (I don’t even have a single pair of jeans) and decided that it would be better to be alone with my personal style than someone to tell me what is right and what is wrong and impose your tastes. The most famous women in fashion are not subject to the moment, they can be different and have a style that does not change from season to season, but evolves. My approach is to wear things that I feel good in and not pay attention to. I love things that revolve around my favorite eras. I can enjoy someone else's style, but I don't have to dress the same way.

KU: Tell me frankly, how long does it take you to be ready to leave the house?

DFT: It depends on what I'm doing. For example ... for the carpet? Two hours is enough for me. I need time to decide on clothes, fix my hair and do my hair, send a message, change the music on the player ... I should not feel rushed. But I definitely don't spend more than 30 minutes getting ready on a typical day. My usual everyday look is a light foundation, lipstick, mascara and a chignon in my hair. I can handle it all in 15 minutes. And the finished evening look will take me about 40 minutes. We specifically timed the time when I was writing my book about beauty. I curled my hair in 13 minutes! So I don't spend as much time as it might seem. I just trained really well. I've been wearing the same hair and makeup since 1992!

KU: Do you ever get tired of constantly dyeing your blond hair dark? Will we ever see Dita Von Teese blonde?

DFT: I saw and remember myself as a blonde. And someday I will be her again, but not now. There are too many blondes around now. I love my blue-black hair and think I represent dark-haired femme fatales, not blond sex bombs. There are so many tanned blondes around, and I will be a light-skinned brunette!

KU: You are an experienced traveler. Tell me, which city of all where you were, you can call the sexiest and why?

DFT: No matter where I go or what I see, Paris still tops my list of the sexiest cities in the world.

KU: How did your collaboration with Cointreau and their liquor start?

DFT: Well, I always knew that I would eventually unite with the spirit of this brand. It was all predictable and logical, because everyone knows how much I love to swim with a giant cocktail glass. I received offers from many brands, but Cointreau was the only one whose philosophy I felt and who agreed with my vision of sexuality. I liked all the ideas that they offered me as a face of the company, as well as their attitude to the incredible history of the brand and the elegant style of or with a modern approach. This is also my approach to burlesque. This is awareness and loyalty to the era.

KU: Can you describe your show "Be Cointreauversial"? What can viewers expect from him?

DFT: It's still the same Martini glass that made me famous, but which I reinvented for Cointreau! We wanted to do something inspired by the classic Cointreau bottle, play with this delightful shade of amber, add touches of orange, gold and some purple. We even did a study, watching how the liqueur takes on this wonderful opal color when it is poured over ice. And we added crystals to the composition! We also wanted the look to be distinctly French, so the suit looks like a real Folies Berger from the 60s. It's definitely the most elaborate costume I've ever worn, with hundreds of thousands of multi-colored faceted Swarovski crystals and these amazing designer feathers from Belgium. I even remade the classic French anthem into music for my striptease!

KU: Reveal a few secrets to becoming a burlesque goddess at home?

DFT: 1. Find time for yourself. It doesn't have to be expensive at all. A candlelit bath with aromatic oils and foam is one example of inexpensive body care.

2. Try on a new hairstyle or make-up. Play and fantasize! Perhaps you will find your new one or just have a great time.

3. Buy lingerie that is both sexy and comfortable at the same time. This is quite possible these days, so discard the stereotypes that comfort is always boring. Lots of brands make amazing pieces that can be worn every day.

4. Don't save your pretty date lingerie, wear it, wear it just for yourself!

5. Learn how to make sumptuous cocktails at home. I love making Quanthropolitan and Margarita. It's easy, fun and impresses others!

Born in Michigan, Heather Renee Sweet grew up fascinated by the golden age of cinema, pin-ups and vintage lingerie. As a child, Heather was unremarkable among her peers, another average girl with blond hair. Until the age of 15, she seriously studied ballet, at 13 she already staged solo numbers and for a long time wanted to become a ballerina.

On Twitter, Dita Von Teese admitted that she is of Armenian origin on her paternal side. She stated this while participating in the Eurovision 2009 contest, admiring the performance of the representatives of Armenia - Inga and Anush Arshakyan. Dita von Teese willingly mentions her Armenian roots during various interviews, saying that her grandmother was half Armenian.

Heather was the middle of three daughters of the Sweet family. Parents - Bonnie and Ken Sweet, machinist and manicurist. The older sister Sarah was always active and sometimes too noisy, but this earned her father's favor - Sweet Sr. saw a zest in her, and Heather considered it too simple. The future von Teese was her mother's daughter - she, like no one else, noticed and understood her mother's passion for beautiful clothes and cosmetics. But the family of the machinist and manicurist could not boast of a good financial situation.

As a child, Bonnie managed to find the perfect game for her daughter: while she was doing housework, Heather went into the room and tried on grandmother's dresses, hats and handbags, which were stored in a huge suitcase under her parents' bed. From her mother, Heather inherited one simple truth that she still adheres to: be a woman, enjoy your femininity and shine as much as possible. Heather embodied all of Bonnie's unfulfilled desire for gloss and chic, becoming the world-famous burlesque queen Dita Von Teese.

Even then, being an ordinary teenage girl, Heather became a devoted pin-up fan. She bought several magazines from a second-hand bookstore. Heather looked at these girls all the time - yes, they were different from her mother's idols, but at the same time they were magically carefree and well-groomed to her fingertips.

When Heather turned 15, the family had to move. In a new place, the girl began working in a lingerie store. In college, Sweet studied historical costume and then dreamed of working as a costume designer on film sets. Later, Dita Von Teese realizes her dream - today, at her own shows, she herself creates stage images.

From the age of 19, Heather worked part-time by dancing in nightclubs. During this period, the girl had two jobs at once. After leaving her job in a lingerie store, Heather began working as a consultant in a cosmetics store. During the day, she sold lipsticks and advised the ladies on which perfumes to choose, and in the evening she danced a striptease at the Captain Cream club.

Heather got a job as a dancer at the Captain Cream strip club, where the basis of her image was born, in 1990. A year later, she took the pseudonym Dita in honor of the movie star of the 20s, Dita Parlo. Even then, she understood that simple and soulless undressing to the music was not for her, and the images that tanned, black-haired blondes in cowboy boots chose for themselves did not suit her at all. In those years, the girl had already exchanged her inexpressive blond for a blue-black color, which turned her into a woman from another planet. The sight of the "American sex dream" of that time did not attract Dita at all, and did not suit her at all. Then she again turned to her idols - magnificent and slightly frivolous young ladies from the pages of retro magazines.

She chose outfits that became an important part of the show itself. It was not the fact that the girl was undressing that came to the fore, but the process itself: slightly lower the long opera glove, long, painfully and elegantly pull off the lace stocking. The audience was delighted.

Just two years later, Dita was covered by a wave of popularity. Each of her performances was a "number" - a carefully choreographed little etude, from which it was impossible to take your eyes off. For example, a fan dance, reminiscent of Japanese geishas. Dita revived this number - in honor of its creator, the legendary dancer Sally Rand. When Dita took her first steps in her career, it was the memory of Sally Rand that saved her from feelings of embarrassment and shame.

In burlesque, Dita began performing not solo, but with a group of dancers who initiated the revival of the genre. Von Teese is still inspired by the musicals and movies of the 30s and 40s. Her unique style was inspired by Luisa Casati, Anna Piaggi and Isabella Blow.

Dita started to inject Botox early and never hid it. When, after the presentation of the performance with a glass of martini, Hugh Hefner himself approached her, it seems that only rejuvenating Botox helped her maintain her equanimity. Then the founder of Playboy invited the dancer to appear on the cover of the magazine. Such an event was tantamount to world recognition. Before the photo shoot, Dita flatly refused the services of a stylist and makeup artist. And she did not lose - the image of a sophisticated lady, slightly flirtatious and, of course, incredibly sexy, performed by the former Heather Sweet, turned out to be winning as always.

A few days later, Playboy asked Dita for her full name for publication. Then she opened the phone book and, randomly pointing with a well-groomed finger, chose the name "von Treese" (von Treese). But the editors made a typo, and the magazine came out with the signature Dita von Teese. And at that moment a legend was born.
