Dragonborn - Walkthrough. Dragonborn - Seal of Death Skyrim Walkthrough

On your travels, you may come across the Deathbrand book. After reading it, a marker "Haknir's Shoal" appears on the map. However, you do not need to go to the libraries, you can simply go there yourself (see locations). After completing the quest and finding the hidden treasures, you will receive a set of armor, specially designed for those who like to hold a weapon in both hands, and a couple of swords.

First chest

On the shallows you will see a camp of robbers who, of course, will not be happy with your visit. Take the Deathbrand Treasure Map from the leader's body, read the book, if you haven't read it yet, and examine the chest dug up by the bandits. It contains a helmet with properties: water breathing. +100 Armor when wearing the full Deathbrade Armor. Look at the map and go along the route convenient for you for the rest of the armor.

Before we leave, grab the East Empire Company pendant from one of the tents.

Second chest

Walk north of the Earth Stone on the edge of Raven Rock, along the coast. (see map). Soon, a couple of robbers will come across, and not far from their camp there is a chest dug out of the ground, which contains Haknir's armor, which increases the reserve of strength by 15 points for each equipped item from the set of the Brand of Death.

Third chest

Further north, a little further than the waterfall, you will find the third chest (see map). It contains Hacknir's gloves. If you wear them and use a weapon in both hands, then strikes will deal 10% more damage for each equipped item from the set of the Brand of Death.

Fourth chest

Now it's time to visit Tel Mithryn, go straight to where the river flows into the sea. Next to the bodies of the unlucky treasure seekers is the fourth chest (see map). It features Hacknir's Boots, which increase your maximum weight carrying capacity by 10 pounds for each Deathbrade item equipped, plus a Gyldenhul Barrow Key. Obviously, it was not put in vain, go to the mound and do not forget to take an ancient Nordic pick with you. Recall that it can be obtained during the An Ax to Find quest or bought from Baldor after completing the quest.

Mound Guildenhul

Use the key to open the door. In the first - and, seemingly, the only room - there are only a couple of sarcophagi filled with stalhrim. Do not be too lazy to get the "enchanted ice", and a passage will open on the left.

A treasure full of coins awaits behind the next door, but as soon as you take the cursed gold Haknir (or any other thing), a grate blocks the way back.

You have entered the resting place of Hacknir himself. Take the sword named "Bloodscythe" lying on the skeleton, and the spirit of the legendary pirate, naturally hostile, will appear. First, he will approach you with the ghosts of his team, then a couple of assistants mentioned in the book, again the team, and only then will appear himself to calm down forever. Take another sword, Soulrender, from the captain's body. If you use these two swords in pairs, then on impact, the Strangler absorbs 15 units of magic and can with some probability dispel magic protection, and the Blood Scythe absorbs 15 units of health and can with some probability weaken the enemy's armor.

All items that belonged to Hacknir can be improved at the forge.

Armor Seal of Death or pirate armor(or also called Death Mark Armor) is a unique set of light armor that appears in the game with the Dragonborn expansion. You can get it by completing the Seal of Death quest on the island of Solstheim.

This armor originally belonged to a pirate Hakniru Death Seal, or the "Pirate King". His image was constantly covered with legends: some pirates said that he absorbed the souls of other people in order to live forever. This pirate lived and really long enough, but did not become immortal - in the quest you will meet only his ghost.

Quest"Seal of Death" starts after reading the book of the same name. On the map you will see a marker that will show the hero the way to the location "Haknir's Shoal". There you have to destroy the pirates. On the body of their leader, you will find a treasure map, which will lead you to the pieces of armor. Please note that this card will be displayed in the inventory not in the "books" item, but in the "miscellaneous" item.

  • Boots increase the carrying capacity by 10 points for each piece of armor. Physical resistance - 11.5.

A pirate's tale

Haknir the Seal of Death was dying.

Garuk Howl of the Wind, the ship's quartermaster, could not comprehend this. Hacknir was still served by his grandfather - and that was almost six decades ago - and even then he was a legend among the pirates of the north. He was called the "King of Ghosts," for he was as relentless and merciless as the sea he sailed on. For Garuk, who more than once saw Haknir rushing into battle in shining stalhrim armor, like the ancient kings, cutting off enemies like grass with his two sabers, he was practically a god.

But no one feared Hacknir more than his own team. They knew his fits of rage, they knew how he enjoyed torture and murder for fun. There were also darker rumors: it was said that he fed on the blood and souls of his victims in order to prolong his life. Some believed him to be a Daedra who made his way into the mortal world. Others said that he owed his life and power, armor and weapons to Dagon, the prince of destruction. And the signed contract was a terrible, unhealed wound across his entire face - the Seal of Death, which no one could look at without flinching.

Such thoughts were spinning in Garuk's head when he took his place on the deck at the head of the team. He greeted helmsman Talin, his main rival, with a nod. By sunset, he thought, one of them would be the captain. The second is a deceased.

As Hacknir emerged from his quarters, the crew fell silent. He had a sickly look and a cracked voice. But even in this form, he did not lose his greatness. He glanced at his crew, at the most brutal assassins that the waters of the northern seas have ever borne, and no one could meet his gaze. Finally, he sighed.

You want to know who will take my place and how my share of the booty will be divided.

Everyone wanted to know this, but all the same, protests were heard in the crowd. Haknir told them to shut up.

All these years, I have chosen from among you someone who will be worthy to take my place, or who is strong enough to take it away from me. But none of you even came close to it. Therefore, you will not get it.

He raised his hand. “In the name of Dagon, I curse my armor and my sabers, this ship and everything on it. Until the day comes when one of you defeats me in battle, none of you will get a single coin. ”He glanced at the team. "Say thank you that I leave your lives to you."

Garuk and Talin exchanged glances. If anyone else had spoken such words, there would have been a riot immediately. Hundreds of greedy pirates against one man. But it was Hacknir, and the crew was silent.

Haknir threw the map at Garuk's feet. “Garuk, take the boat and bury my armor where I indicated. Talin, we will go to my grave, where you leave me with my gold. Then burn the boats and do as you know. I am no longer your captain, ”with these words he turned around and went back to the cabin.

At dawn, Garuk took the boat and three men. They landed on the shore north of Solstheim at a location indicated by Hacknir, set up camp and began digging.

But greed sharpened Garuk's heart. Again and again he glanced at the iron-bound chest they had brought with them. The old man was not here - perhaps he was no longer in this world. His order was downright stupid.

That night, Garuk opened the chest and pulled out his helmet. Stalgrim gleamed in the moonlight. The time has come. The new King of Ghosts was to appear to the world. He put the helmet on his head.

And he screamed.

People say this scream can still be heard on a moonlit night on the rocky coast north of Solstheim.

P.S-

This is one of the latest stories in the Hacknir Saga series, which depicts the life and adventures of the legendary pirate king Hacknir, known as the Seal of Death. How true these stories are and whether they are true at all is up to the reader to decide.

Explanations for the table
  1. The helmet, unlike other elements of armor, is always located only in this location. This is not surprising, considering that this fact is written in the book "The Seal of Death".
  2. This piece of armor can be located in any of the locations, except for the Haknir Shallows (there is always only a helmet there). Just like the location of other pieces of armor, its location is determined randomly.
  • The key to the Gildenhul Barrow will be in the last chest that Dovahkiin will open.
  • After all the parts of the armor have been collected and the hero has a key, you should go to the Gildenhul barrow.

Tomb

At first it seems that the room is very small. However, if you read the adventurer's note, you can guess that somewhere there is an extension of the cave.

There is a hidden passage under one of the stalhrim's stores. To open it, you need to get a stalhrim, which will require an ancient Nordic pickaxe. In the opened passage, you need to go straight along the corridor. The corridor will lead to a large treasury, fenced off on both sides by locked doors. As soon as the hero is in the large treasury, the grate will go down and there will be no other way but forward. Behind the iron door, which must be unlocked with the key from the last treasure chest, is the very tomb of Haknir.

At first, everything will be quiet, but if you examine the skeleton of the pirate and pick up his unique scimitar Blood Scythe, the ghost of Hacknir will appear and attack. During the battle, he will summon the ghosts of his team, which will greatly complicate the battle. After defeating the remains of the pirate king, you can pick up another unique saber - the Strangler. When paired with the Blood Scythe, they give a special magical effect.

Notes (edit)

  • Not all quest stages may appear in the quest log. Which of them will appear, and which will not, depends on the ways of completing the quest.
  • The stages are not always displayed sequentially. As a rule, this happens if the quest has several possible endings, and also if some of the stages of the quest can be completed in any order.
  • If the stage is marked in green, that is, as the final quest, then this means that the quest disappears from the list of active tasks in the journal, but new entries related to the quest may still be displayed in the task journal.

Bugs

  • If you break open the grate of the mound using the learned ability "Wax Cast" and fight Haknir before all the armor of the Seal of Death is collected, then it becomes inaccessible.
  • Sometimes it is impossible to get a stalhrim to unblock the passage.
    • Solution: try to mine ore several times, if this does not help, re-enter the location or load an early save.
  • Sometimes it is impossible to take the Blood Scythe to awaken the spirit of Haknir.
    • Solution: loading an early save before entering the Gildenhul Mound.
  • When entering the Gildenhul Mound, it may happen that the walls and floor do not appear, as a result, the player's character may fall through the textures and fall down / freeze in place, then reappear at the entrance and repeat this repeatedly.
    • Solution: exit and re-enter the location or load an earlier save.
