Where to find the last Ethereum shard. Skyrim: Lost for Ages. Forge ethereum. Dear, where is the forge of ethereum

Lost for centuries(orig. Lost to the Ages) - a side quest in the add-on The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard.

Short walkthrough

  1. Enter Arkntamz, talk to the ghost of Katria.
  2. Obtain the Ethereum Fragment at Arkntamz.
  3. Collect the other three fragments at the following locations:
    • Crossing the Deep Folk
    • Mzulf
    • Raldbthar
  4. Find and activate the Ethereum Forge in Btalft Ruins.
  5. Choose a reward.

Description

In the ruins of Arkntamza, you can meet the ghost of Katria, an adventurer who died during the collapse that occurred here. Talking to her will start the task. It turns out that during her lifetime Katria managed to get close to solving one of the greatest secrets of the Dwemer - the location of the forge of ethereum, an extremely rare mineral with unique properties. Katria has done a whole lot of research on this topic, more details about her findings can be found in her diary and the book "Wars for Eteria", which can be found on her body. The body itself lies in the same room where her conversation with the hero took place, on a cliff in the middle of an abyss. Since the only way to get to the other side is just over the cliff, the body cannot be passed. Above the abyss at the end of the log lies the Zephyr bow. If desired, Katria will join the protagonist, very good help both with tips and well-aimed archery. If someone is already traveling in the company with the main character, it’s not scary - he will also remain in the team.

Arkntamz

Katria's Hint
Diary tip

After reading the diary and the book, it becomes clear that the forge was hidden from prying eyes, and you can get into it only with the help of some special key, which is divided into four parts, the location of which is indicated in the diary. One of them is kept in Arkntamz. Next, you have to do the hard way to the very top of the ruins (since Arkntamz was built inside a mountain (apparently an extinct volcano), and its tiers go not deep into the earth, but up - to the top). This path leads to the heart of the ruins - the center of the study of ethereum. To enter it, you have to figure out the correct order of activation of the five locks that lock the gate. The clue can be found on the last page of Katria's diary, or, if the diary was not picked up, on a piece of paper that can be found on the body of an unnamed adventurer lying next to the gate. If the hint did not help, then the correct answer is below, under the spoiler:

Open / close spoiler

  1. Bottom left.
  2. Bottom right.
  3. Top left.
  4. Top right.
  5. Bottom center.
Note: for more details on how to activate the locks and what consequences errors will lead to, read the article "Arkntamz".

After everything has worked out, you can pick up the first part of the key - the ethereal fragment. Katria, after a short conversation, will leave the protagonist and go in search of other fragments. Dovahkiin should also do this. The order in which the fragments are collected does not matter, but below is the description in ascending order of complexity.

Crossing the Deep Folk

Everything is simple here. There are no enemies in the location. The only, and even scanty, difficulty is in finding a local fragment (if the quest is not marked as active in the quest log and there is no map marker). The fragment is located behind the Dwemer bridge, behind the octagonal plinth. After the protagonist picks him up, Katria will appear and praise him for his promptness.

Mzulf

Mzulfa warehouse

There are no difficulties here either. You don't need to go to Mzulf itself. The fragment is located in a separate building on the territory of the above-ground part of the city - the gnome storeroom. If this location has not yet been visited, then a pleasant addition to the fragment awaits - a huge amount of Dwemer metal and other values. The main difficulties - to cope with the three locks of the warehouse departments (two levels "Apprentice" and one - "Expert"), and take away all the trophies. Katria will already be here and will reproach for her sluggishness.

Raldbthar

This is the only place where getting a snippet is risky. The fact is that it is located at the very end of the dungeon, next to the exit from it and the local entrance to the Black Reach. Therefore, if these ruins have not been cleared earlier and access to the Black Reach has not yet been obtained, you will have to fight your way through the entire Raldbthar. If any of the above has already been done, then you can enter directly into the last room of the city through the Black Reach or from the surface by going down the elevator. One way or another, there will be a small room, at the far end of which, near the stand with a fragment, Katria is already waiting. However, the passage to it is blocked by a Dwemer orb and a spider. It is unclear how they were going to keep the ghost, apparently, such a situation is simply not provided for in their program. Either way, she and Katria are not attacking each other. After destroying this small obstacle, you can pick up the fragment. Katria is relieved to notice that everything is finished and asks if all the parts of the key have been assembled.

It doesn't matter which part is found last. After she is found, and after the obligatory phrase (see above), Katria will report that now everything is ready to enter the forge, and will offer to meet there, after which she will disappear as usual.

Forge ethereum

The forge itself is located in the ruins of Btalft. It is southeast of Ivarstead. Several bandits live in the ruins themselves, and there is also a metal structure of clearly Dwemer work in the form of a sphere with an arrow. In the pedestal on which it is installed, there is a depression of a characteristic shape. It is necessary to insert the found fragments into it, and they will merge together, turning into an "ethereal emblem". This will open the elevator to the forge. Behind the waterfall there is a chest locked with a lock on the "Adept" level, and not far from the waterfall, at the bottom, there is a great stone of souls. Next, you have to close two valves responsible for supplying steam, which interferes with the passage. On the approaches to the forge, a fight with many Dwemer spiders and orbs awaits, and to top it off, a huge centurion, a Master Blacksmith, will appear, attacking with fire. Having dealt with everyone, you can start examining the chests and collecting trophies, and then head to the forge, to activate which you need to use the ethereal symbol. Now it remains to choose a reward.

And what about Katria? Her strongest desire is to get confirmation of her theories and proof of the existence of the forge, finally fulfilled, and she again leaves the main character, now forever ...

Using the Shouting Dash or Ethereal, you can reach the chest on the other side of the lava lake. Also, from the side of the lava lake, two secret gates are visible. You can get to them in the same way as to the chest. Behind them you can find several Dwemer parts, scrap metal and chests.

Reward

Only one item of your choice can be crafted in the forge:

  • Etherium crown - a hoop, makes it possible to activate two Guardian Stones at the same time.
  • Aetheric staff - summons a Dwemer sphere or a spider (who exactly will appear is chosen at random).
  • Ethereum shield - heavy armor, when it hits an enemy, it dematerializes that one for 15 seconds, which can be useful in battles against a group.

Notes (edit)

  • After completing the quest, the hero will meet Taron Dret with his mercenaries. He will ask how the main character was able to forge this item (crown, shield or staff). In any case, he will say that the protagonist knows too much, and the gang will attack Dovahkiin.

Bugs

  • Unlike other similar quests, markers indicating the desired Dwemer cities are not displayed if these locations are not already open. Therefore, it is necessary to navigate the map in the inventory, which may seem unusual.
  • The forge entrance tower rises, but the elevator to the ruins does not appear.
    • Solution PC : go down using the console command coc DLC1Bthalft01.
  • Can't complete the side mission (pick up Katria's diary).
  • Even after completing the work in the forge ethereum, the quest does not end.
    • Solution PC : after creating an item in the forge of ethereum, enter the console command setstage DLC1LD_Bthalft 90. or setstage DLC1LD_misc 185.
  • The quest may not start under any circumstances.
  • The ghost of Katria may disappear and not appear.

Skyrim is an open-world fantasy RPG that belongs to the sandbox class. This is the five part of "The Elder Scrolls" - one of the most famous games in the whole world. In Skyrim, the player is free to do something interesting to him, go where he pleases, choose which of the opposing sides to stand on, interrupt the current quest at any time and start (or continue) another. Today we will talk about the quest "Lost in the Ages", and about the artifacts directly related to it.

The quest "Lost in the Ages" opens when the player reads the book "Wars for Eteria", or when finding the location "Arkngtamz" (this location is located in the southeastern side of Markarth). As a result of its passage, you can find fragments of ethereum in the world of Skyrim and, having visited a special forge, create one of three unique artifacts of your choice - a shield, a crown or a staff.

Arkntamz ruins

Finding yourself at the place of the quest, after an ominous voice at the entrance to the ruins begins to convince the traveler who has come here to turn back, you will meet the ghost of Katria, who will tell you that she died here in search of legends about ethereum. Katria will also discourage the presumptuous hero from exploring the ruins, but if you tell her about your intention not to retreat, Katria will offer her help, which can be either accepted or rejected.

If you use her help, then the further adventure will be accompanied by the comments of your new sociable companion.

Making your way further through the ruins of Arkntamz, you will find the corpse of Katria, from which you can take off her uniform and take a personal diary, and this will definitely come in handy in the passage of the quest. If you forget to pick up the diary, then Katria herself will insist that you pick it up. This item is useful in that from it you can find out the location of the forge in which you can forge a unique artifact, as well as where the fragments of ethereum are hidden.

In the future, you will find yourself in a room, where you will find a gate that opens with a special mechanism, which Katria will call a "tone resonator". After entering the room behind it, you will find another similar device, which is stationary. This device activates a blow on one of the blades, after which it will be possible to open the second gate. The further path will lead to the place of the collapse, where Katria will remember the circumstances of her own tragic death, and tell you where you can find her bow.

After an inevitable skirmish with skeletons in a room strewn with the corpses of adventurers killed by multiple traps. In this place, you need to solve a puzzle, clues to which are Katria's diary and a piece of paper that can be found on one of the bodies.

Every mistake in solving the puzzle promises a battle with the Dwemer inhabitants of the ruins, whose strength will increase every time.

After finding the correct answer to the riddle, your character will be awarded the first of the Ethereum shards. To find the rest of the fragments, you should visit the locations of Raldbthar, the outer warehouses of Mzulf and the Ferry of the Deep People. You can visit them in any order.

Raldbthar

Raldbthar is a vast ornate network of caves and ruins. A shard of ethereum awaits you in the very depths of the network. Inside the dungeons, you should get to the location "Raldbthar - Market", which you can get into in several ways. The most obvious of them - following the traces of the marker on the map - will be the longest, and the rest require previously opened Raldbthar and Black Limit locations - so, using teleportation to already open locations will allow you to get to the Ethereum shard sooner.

Mzulfa warehouses

This part of the quest is quite trivial. You need to go to Mzulft and find a separate room near him, inside which you will find a door locked with a master level of hacking difficulty, behind which another fragment of ethereum awaits the adventurer.

Crossing the Deep Folk

This part of the quest is even easier. Go to this location, reach the opposite part of the bridge, and another of the fragments of ethereum is yours.

Ruins of Btalft

So, you own all four fragments of ethereum. South of Ivarstead are the ruins of Btalft, where the ghost of Katria awaits the hero again. Katria will offer to place all the fragments found in a special Dwemer device, as a result of which the fragments will be reunited together, transforming into the Etheric element. Be on the lookout - after removing the latter, you need to run away as quickly as possible, because immediately a platform will rise from the depths of the earth and open the gates to the Forge of Aetheria.

A lift descent will give access to a door locked by a link mechanism on the right side. Behind it is a dark path that will be illuminated by self-igniting torches as you move forward. Step carefully, the path will be surrounded by a large number of deadly cliffs. At the end of the path is a large staircase leading to a tree at the top. On the far side of the platform, at the top, is a locked door operated by a pair of resonators above. Behind the corridor after the door, and behind the next door, you will find the Etheria Forge itself.

In the forge itself, you should turn off the steam supply, after which you have to fight with the inhabitants of the Dwemer ruins, during which you need to turn on the steam again and leave the lower platform, and the final battle will be a duel with the Master of the Forge. It is essentially a Dwemer centurion that spews flames instead of vapor. After defeating the Master of the Forge, turn off the steam supply, and, following the quest marker, get to the chest containing the materials necessary for making the final artifact.

At the end of the room there are two doors, which must be reached through the lava, spending health and healing potions. Be careful with your companions, if they exist - they can thoughtlessly climb into the lava with you and die.

Forge ethereum

Activating the forge with an ethereal element will open a text menu where you can select an artifact that will become the final reward of the entire journey: it can be a shield, crown or staff. You can take your time with the choice, exit the menu and enter it again, but the final decision can be made only once, so you should save the current progress before choosing in case you want to replace the artifact. So you can familiarize yourself in detail with a particular award and independently study the properties of each item. After the creation of the artifact, Katria will leave you.

Congratulate yourself, the quest "Lost in the Ages" is completed!

During his travels, he visited many parts of the homeland of the Nords, met many good and bad people, saw many amazing miracles, and it seemed that nothing could catch his imagination.

But, as soon as he spoke with a ghost somewhere in the Dwemer ruins, which are scattered throughout the province of Skyrim, where are the fragments of ethereum and how to get to the magic forge, he began to worry more than anything else.

Ghost

While exploring the ruins of Arkntamz, the hero met the ghost of Katria, an adventurer who died here during a landslide. She told how for 20 years she tried to solve the great Dwemer riddle and how she was then deceived by her own assistant, who appropriated her guesses to himself. In general, until she finds the "Aetherian Forge", her spirit will never be able to rest. From this point on, the mission "Lost in the Ages" (Skyrim Dawnguard) begins.

Ethereum is a rare mineral with magical properties. Katria did a whole lot of research while trying to find the forge. And you can learn about the results of the adventures from the diary and the ancient book, if you search her rotten corpse. Her body will lie not far from the meeting place with the ghost of the adventurer, down the overturned column, over the abyss. By the way, Katria will kindly offer help in finding the forge. And her tips can be very helpful.

First shard

After reading the book and the diary, the hero realized that the entrance to the forge was reliably hidden from prying eyes. To get there, you need a special key. Its parts - fragments of ethereum - are hidden in four places. Fortunately, one of them is located here in Arkntamz. True, to get it, you will have to activate five locks in a certain order. There is a clue, it is on the last page of Katria's diary or on the body of a dead adventurer lying near the gate.

Only after that the hero will be able to pick up the first fragment. He will have to find the rest of the fragments of ethereum. And although you can get them in any order, it is unlikely that it will always be as safe.

Second shard

Finally he got here. Mzulf is a Dwemer ruin divided into four zones. The entrance to them opens only after receiving a certain task, but the hero does not need to get inside. The Ethereum Shard lies in the Dwemer Pantry, which is located south of Mzulf.

There are no enemies there. But you can find a lot of Dwemer metal and other valuable items. But most importantly, there will be another key fragment. The difficulty lies in opening three locks separating the shard from the hero. But he coped, and now two pieces of ethereum are in his shabby pocket.

Third shard

Somewhere to the north of the ruins of Btardamz there is an architectural monument of the Dwemer race. This is a bridge over a shallow and fast river, and behind it is an octagonal pedestal. There must be another shard somewhere here. It will not be difficult for the hero to get here. The most difficult part will be to find the fragment, since it is not indicated on the map. He will find him behind the pedestal and will immediately see the ghost of Katria, who will praise him for his successes.

Fourth shard

The last part of the key is hidden by the Dwemer ruins of Raldbthar, located southwest of Windhelm, between the White River and Lake Yorgrim. Of all the places where Ethereum shards can be found, this area will be the most dangerous. Here the hero will meet many marauders, Dwemer spiders and spheres. The path to the fragment is not easy, but he must go through it, otherwise it was all in vain.

In one of the premises of the city, somewhere at the very end, on a stand, there will be an ethereal fragment, and the ghost of Katria will be standing nearby. They are just a stone's throw away, but a Dwemer sphere and a spider stand in the passage. The hero will have to destroy the obstacle, because only after that he will be able to take the fourth part of the key.

The deed is done, the fragments of ethereum have been collected, now you can collect the key. Katria's spirit will breathe a sigh of relief and say that everything is almost over, and there is only one, the very last stage. And then, offering to meet near the forge, she will disappear again.

Forge ethereum

The Ethereum Forge is one of the many magical sites in the province of Skyrim. Shards of ethereum must be brought here. Here, in the ruins of Btalft, there will be a Dwemer structure in the form of a sphere and an arrow, with a small depression in the middle. The hero will insert fragments there so that they merge into a certain symbol - a key. After that, the elevator leading to the forge will open, and all that remains is to close a couple of valves to block the steam that interferes with the passage.

Having reached the forge, the hero will meet several Dwemer spiders, spheres and a huge centurion attacking with fire. The cost of winning is too high, but worth it. When the last enemy falls, he can calmly examine all the chests and collect trophies, and then go to the forge to choose a worthy reward for himself:

  • Crown of ethereum - allows you to activate two guardian stones at the same time.
  • Staff of Ethereum - allows you to summon a Dwemer spider or a sphere.
  • Shield from ethereum - upon hitting the shield, the enemy dematerializes for 15 seconds.

For Katria, the best gift will be the completion of her life's work. She will be glad to know that all of her theories have proven to be correct and that the forge does exist. After that, she will disappear again, only this time forever.

Where can I find shards of ethereum in Skyrim (in Skyrim)?

    In total, during the game, we need to collect four fragments of Eteria. These multicolored crystals are best found in dungeons and caves, and their exact location and search tips can be found here:

    During the passage of the quest Lost in the centuries the participant is given the opportunity to visit the forge and create an artifact from ethereum. On subsequent travels in other quests, there is a very small chance of finding a few more ethereal shards and creating a second, and later a third ethereal artifact. Shards of Ethereum appear exclusively in chests in Dwemer Ruins.

    Shards of Etheria can be found in caves and dungeons. There are also locations where you can do this, these are: Ruins of Btalft, Crossing of the Deep People, Arkngtamz, Raldbthar and Mzulf, also the locations can be seen in this video

    You can find Aetherium Fragments in Skyrim in the following places:

    • Raldbthar;
    • Arkngtamz;
    • Crossing the Deep Folk;
    • Mzulf;
    • Ruins of Btalft.

    Briefly, but for that it is very intelligible and understandable - it will be even more interesting to play this way. These places are shown in the video below.

    Shards of Etherium can be found in various caves and dungeons, in particular, you can find Etherium fragments in Skyrim in the following places:

    • Raldbthar,
    • Arkngtamz,
    • Crossing the Deep Folk,
    • Mzulf,
    • Ruins of Btalft.

    Good luck searching. For an accurate understanding of the location of the missing fragment, I recommend watching the video on YouTube.

Quest: The passage of the lost in the centuries Skyrim

Lost for centuries is a side quest in the official DLC Dawnguard for Skyrim... In this mission, with the help of the ghost of Katria, you will explore such Dwemer ruins as Arkngtamz, Btalft, Mzulf, Raldbthar and the Crossing of the Deep Folk in search of the forge of ethereum.

In this article, you will find out.

Receiving the assignment and meeting with Katria:

It is quite difficult to get this task, since for this you need to read a book. "War for Eteria" or find the ruins of Arkngtamz yourself. That is why few gamers know about this quest.

You can find the book in different places, ranging from the laboratory in the Dragon's Reach (Whiterun) and ending with the Thalmor embassy. Immediately after reading the book, a new task will appear in your journal "Lost for centuries" and the mark of the Arkngtamz ruins on the map.

If you do not want to search for a book, then immediately go to the ruins, which are located near the orc settlement of Dushnik-Yal in the southeastern part of Markarth. The entrance to Arkngtamz is not difficult to find, just climb the stairs and look for the golden gate.

Going inside, you will hear the voice of a girl who will beg you to leave, since these ruins are dangerous. It turns out that this voice belongs to the spirit of a treasure seeker named Katria, who died in these ruins as a result of the collapse. Katria will tell you that she was looking for the forge of etheria, which is located deep in the caves.

If you can convince Katria to complete what she started and find the forge, then she will agree to accompany you and give advice at the right time. After this conversation, you will have a task "Lost for centuries" and you will be able to continue your exploration of Arkngtamz.

First of all, you need to find Katria's body and take the diary from her, she is marked with a marker, so you won't have to search for a long time. Taking the diary, go further along the corridor, there you will stumble upon a Dwemer device that periodically opens the door due to the twisting mechanism. One door will open automatically, but the second one only after the advance of the broken twisting mechanism.

You can turn the mechanism using "Strike spell" or an arrow, there is no other way to open the door.

Moving along the tunnels, you will come out to a tree and a small crevice through which sunlight passes. Upon reaching the crevice, Katria will say that at the edge of the log lies her Zephyr bow, which you can take for yourself. After passing a few more tunnels, you will reach a huge Dwemer gate with the image of the centurion's head at the top.

Going downstairs, Katria will stop you and tell you that the gate is locked with a "tonal lock". To open the gate, you need to correctly turn all the twisting mechanisms (resonators), using a bow or magic. If you are mistaken, then many arrows will fall on you, as well as several more dangerous traps (you can understand what will become of you by the numerous bodies near the gate).

You can figure out in what order the resonators should be moved from Katria's diary and several scraps of pages from those who died near the adventurers' gates. If you are too lazy to do this, then here is the correct order:

First shot- resonator in the lower left part;

Second- in the lower right part;

Third- in the upper part on the left;

Fourth- in the upper right part;

Fifth- in the lower part in the middle.

After that, the side gate will open, and you can enter the vault, which will contain a shard of ethereum. Taking the shard, Katria will tell you that there are three more, but they are hidden in other Dwemer ruins, the location of which can be found from her diary.

Search for a shard of ethereum in Mzulfa:

Second Ethereum Shard is located in the Dwarven Pantry south of the entrance to the Dwemer Ruins of Mzulf. There are no enemies in the pantry, just go to the east wall and find a shard of ethereum on the pedestal.

Search for a shard of ethereum in Raldbthar:

Next ruins where is the fragment of ethereum, there will be Raldbthar, which will be marked with a marker on the map. In general, the upper part of the ruins does not have particularly difficult moments, and the main opponents in them will be bandits and Dwemer orbs.

To go down to the caves you need to get to the elevator and turn the lever in the middle. As soon as you go down the elevator and go out onto the steps, spinning blades will appear from the floor that you need to jump over from the side.

Next, you will have to wade through hordes of Falmer and Orbs until you come to a raised bridge that is activated with a button. To lower the bridge, jump into the water and remove the metal debris from the gears. There will be a master level Dwemer centurion behind the bridge.

After that, you will again see the spirit of Katria and another shard of ethereum.

Having forged one of the items, Katria will thank you and her soul will go to another world.

Summing up:

Now you know the whole process of passing, lost in the centuries skyrim... In general, you will receive an excellent reward for completing the task, and you should also not forget about the Zephyr bow.

At the exit from the ruins, a gang of Taron Dreth will attack you, hoping to pick up the ethereal item.

The Ethereum Forge is a lost Dwemer structure that can be found in the vastness of Skyrim. Available in the Dawnguard update.

History of the forge

During the heyday of the Dwemer state, this complex was built for the manufacture of various items, which are based on ethereum.

The most prominent Dwemer engineers from the cities of Mzulfa, Btar-Zela, Arkntamza, Raldbthara took part in the creation of the forge, its design and implementation. According to the game, you need to visit the indicated ones to find the fragments of the key that you need to connect.

During Dwemer times, these city-states fell prey to their own greed and became involved in civil war between other cities. This led to the weakening and significant decline of the ancient Dwemer culture. Their fate was sealed, for at that time the first Nords invaded Tamriel.

The forge of ethereum was hastily sealed and hidden from prying eyes.

Dear, where is the ethereum forge?

The quest can be obtained by meeting the ghost of the traveler Katria in the ruins of Arkntamz. The girl will tell about her search, the hero will receive the quest "Lost in the Ages".

One can be found near the city of Ivarstead in the Btalft Ruins location. This city was built by the Dwemer as part of a huge complex, but due to the war it was not finished, fell into decay and collapsed.

Traveling around the game world brings a lot of adventures and surprises. This is Skyrim. The ethereum forge is safely hidden. On the surface there is a pedestal in the form of a ball pierced by an arrow, bordered by two rings.

It is necessary to insert the found fragments of the ethereal key into the pedestal, which will connect and open the corridor to the dungeon where the forge is.

Etherium

Skyrim is rich in all kinds of materials for research and the manufacture of something. However, ethereum is considered to be something of a curiosity. This crystal cannot be melted, processed or enchanted. You can't even break it.

And only the Dwemer found a way to process it by building their forge.

The elevator goes down

When the protagonist inserts the ethereal key into the pedestal, a small earthquake will begin and the ghost of Katria will advise you to step aside.

From the side you can see how a high tower will appear from the ground, at the base of which there is a lever that drives the elevator, which will take the dovahkin to the dungeons, where the forge ethereum was sealed by the Dwemer many centuries ago, therefore it is ideally preserved in its original form.

The entrance to the forge is located not far from the descent point, but the door does not have Katria suggests that you need to shoot from the bow at the two Dwemer resonators, which are a little higher. The mechanisms will open the door.

In the smithy itself, you need to shut off the steam supply in order to use the structure itself. To the right and to the left of the entrance there are gates, actions on which are able to solve this problem.

As a "guard system" of their device, the Dwemer left a number of mechanisms here, such as the Dwemer sphere and the Dwemer spider. And also the Master Blacksmith will emerge from the lake of lava - a huge Dwemer centurion with resistance to fire. It is recommended to arm yourself with something that deals cold damage, as well as use potions that increase fire resistance, because the centurion attacks with streams of flame.

From the body of the defeated mechanism, you can take:

  • centurion generator core;
  • filled or empty soul stone (great);
  • gems;
  • Dwemer oil.

Working with the forge

You can use a Dwemer machine only once - the forge of ethereum allows you to forge one of three unique items:

  1. Etherium crown is an item that allows you to use two activated additional enhancements from guardian stones at the same time. Usually, when a bonus from one stone is taken, the bonus from the other is consumed. It will come in handy for players to quickly level up the character - you can activate stones that increase experience.
  2. Aetheric Magic Staff - when used, summons a Dwemer spider and a Dwemer sphere for 60 seconds. It is useful only at the initial levels, since higher level opponents will cope with these in one hit.
  3. Ethereum Shield is a useful item for warriors who prefer to quickly run past a crowd of opponents to their goal. Hitting the shield transforms the enemy into a ghost for 15 seconds. In this state, the enemy cannot attack and receive damage.

Most often, players prefer the crown.

In the process of completing the quest, you can get Zephyr - a Dwemer bow that Katria owned. You can find it in Arkntamz on a tree hanging over the abyss. You should be careful: the bow can fall into a stormy river stream and be lost.

The lake of lava that the Master Blacksmith emerges from can be overcome with fire resistance potions and health replenishing spells. On the other side you can find a chest with valuable items, as well as two corridors, each of which leads to treasures.

The quest begins in the Arkngtamz location, you can find it by reading the book "Wars for Eteria", or find it yourself. There will be many Falmer, Corus and Dwemer guards in the location. After talking with Katria, you will need to find other Aetherian fragments in Raldbthar, Mzulfa and the Ferry of the Deep People. As soon as you enter the forge, the Dwemer spiders will attack you, then the spheres, and then the Master of the Forge - a huge Dwemer centurion will appear.

Making your way further through the ruins of Arkntamz, you will find the corpse of Katria, from which you can take off her uniform and take a personal diary, and this will definitely come in handy in the passage of the quest. After finding the correct answer to the riddle, your character will be awarded the first of the Ethereum shards. To find the rest of the fragments, you should visit the locations of Raldbthar, the outer warehouses of Mzulf and the Ferry of the Deep People.

Going downstairs, Katria will stop you and tell you that the gate is locked with a "tonal lock". You can figure out in what order the resonators should be moved from Katria's diary and several scraps of pages from those who died near the adventurers' gates. After that, the side gate will open, and you can enter the vault, which will contain a shard of ethereum. Then Katria will move to another place, and you can continue your search.

Shards of ethereum, a forgotten smithy and another "Lost in the Ages"

While exploring the ruins of Arkntamz, the hero met the ghost of Katria, an adventurer who died here during a landslide. There are no enemies there. But you can find a lot of Dwemer metal and other valuable items. Of all the places where Ethereum shards can be found, this area will be the most dangerous. The Ethereum Forge is one of the many magical sites in the province of Skyrim. Shards of ethereum must be brought here. Here, in the ruins of Btalft, there will be a Dwemer structure in the form of a sphere and an arrow, with a small depression in the middle.

During the passage of the quest "Lost in the Ages" the participant is given the opportunity to visit the forge and create an artifact from ethereum. Shards of Ethereum appear exclusively in chests in Dwemer Ruins. Shards of ethereum are quest items that we will need when completing the quest "Lost in the Ages".

It turns out that during her lifetime Katria managed to get close to solving one of the greatest secrets of the Dwemer - the location of the forge of ethereum, an extremely rare mineral with unique properties. If this location has not yet been visited, then a pleasant addition to the fragment awaits - a huge amount of Dwemer metal and other values. In Arkntamz I met Katria, the ghost of an adventurer who was trying to find the legendary forge of ethereum. Together we found one of the four fragments of ethereum - parts of the key to the forge. Goal 150): Determine the location of the ethereum forge. Together we found four Ethereum shards and recreated the key to the forge, where we were attacked by its ancient guardians. (Goal 200): Defeat the forge guards.

After reading the book "Wars for Eteria", you will automatically start the side quest "Lost in the Ages". Not far from this place, on a log above the abyss, there is also a Zephyr bow - if you wish, pick it up, this is the former property of Katria, she will no longer need it, as you might guess. The fourth and last shard can be found in the Ferry of the Deep People, to get there, follow in the northeast direction from Markarth. When all this fraternity is done away with, use the symbol to activate the forge, but it is important to keep in mind that only one of the listed artifacts can be created.

Further exploration of the ruins will lead you to the upper point of the collapse, where Katria (Katria) will remember the details of her death, and also point to her bow, Zephyr (Zephyr), located at the top of the log. Quite a large and intricate network of dungeons, to get to the shard you need to go to the very depths of the ruins. By and large, you need Raldbthar - the Market, or rather its crossroads room. Short - if you already have Raldbthar open, then you can very quickly get to the fragment. Katria will be waiting for you there and she will tell you to put the fragments in the Dwemer mechanism. At the forge, you will be prompted to turn off the steam. After the task is completed, the battle begins with the Dwemer mechanisms. Once they are all destroyed, The Forgemaster will emerge from the lava to the left of the forge.

Receiving the assignment and meeting with Katria:

You can find the book in different places, ranging from the laboratory in the Dragon's Reach (Whiterun) and ending with the Thalmor embassy. If you do not want to search for a book, then immediately go to the ruins, which are located near the orc settlement of Dushnik-Yal in the southeastern part of Markarth. If you can convince Katria to complete what she started and find the forge, then she will agree to accompany you and give advice at the right time. After this conversation, you will have the task "Lost in the Ages" and you can continue to research Arkngtamz.

The war between the Altmeri Dominion and the Empire ended 30 years ago with the White Gold Cocordat, which infringed on many of the rights of the inhabitants, including the worship of Talos.

After that, whole waves of attacks by Dwemer spiders and spheres will follow you, and at the end you will have to fight a huge enemy, a master blacksmith.

9) A very difficult case, you can agree and answer "truly your own", but the questions that arise in your head are: "Where did you get such a rare copy of the game?" and "what kind of fashions did they stuff there?" I bought it myself, went to Proventus Avenicci for improvements (nursery, kitchen, alchemist laboratory, etc.). I bought four improvements at a time, but only a kitchen in the form of a pot over a fire appeared ... I looked at the ID of this glowing crystal - it is from a fragment in Mzulfa, although everything was fine there. Perhaps this is due to the fact that between Mzulf and Raldbthar I did repeated cleaning of the save. Naturally, I have not survived such ancient saves (before the start of the quest).

Not all quest stages may appear in the quest log. Which of them will appear, and which will not, depends on the ways of completing the quest.

This is a hidden quest in the Dawnguard DLC. She lies on a table, next to a lever that opens a bridge in an abandoned part of Volkihar Castle. In short, I cannot find the forge itself.

Now, if there was a bow or a sword, then yes, you can take it (in my opinion, the Gazebo added very little things to the Aetherian Forge). This is one of the easy and understandable quests, there is nothing boring there. And the story behind this quest is just as well thought out. O_O .. how can you not understand something if everything was written in Katria's Diary? It was hard for me to go through, in Katria's diary I did not notice any special clues, I stupidly entered all the locations located in the same region as on the map, and killed a lot of time and nerves. So my character, too, was at level 16-20, I hadn’t studied the Reach and Eastmarch yet, but it was there that there were places with parts of Etheria.
