At a temperature of 180-2400C, which is maintained by automation, with constant stirring of the material, it melts to a homogeneous mass. After preparing the material, it is extruded from the chamber through holes calibrated for a certain film thickness. These holes are circular in shape.

The molten mass extruded through the holes forms a film sleeve, which, under air pressure, rises to the top of the extruder, cooling along the way. In the upper part of the apparatus, the resulting film is cut and wound on a drum.

When the calculated length of the material is reached, the film is cut off and the winding of a new roll begins. To work on the extruder, separate service personnel are required. As a rule, one worker copes with the installation. His duties include filling the pellets into the feed hopper and changing the drums on the winder.

For the production of an opaque film of various color shades (as a rule, films for garbage bags), a dye is poured into the bunker together with granules. The content of dyes in the manufactured product is not more than 3%, this does not affect the strength characteristics of the material.

Drawing on film

Drawing is done using a flexographic machine. For application, elastic dyes are used, which are characterized by a high degree of adhesion to the base material. Paints are diluted with technical alcohol and constantly mixed in equipment containers.

Through a system of dispensers, each paint is fed to a separate roller, wetting it. On the roller is a printing plate, which prints one color on the film. The film is rewound on the drum through a system of rollers and rotates the colored rollers, which create the desired pattern.
