What is Landi Renzo gas equipment
The company produces the following systems of automotive gas equipment:

ECU Landirenzo Omegas Direct 3-4 / Landirenzo Omegas Direct 5-8
This is Landi Renzo's latest innovation - fourth generation premium equipment. Designed for injection engines with direct fuel injection (TSI, FSI, TFSI) when converted to propane - butane (liquefied gas) and methane (natural gas).
It is used in the world's most famous automotive brands - Mercedes, Toyota, BMW and others. For each of them, individual ECU firmware is performed, which eliminates any malfunctions in the system.
Electronic control unit Landi Renzo Omegas
Provides continuous cleaning of petrol injectors when the engine is running on gas. The minimum portions of gasoline supplied by the ECU command to the injectors exclude their overheating, coking and burning out.
This electronic control unit has a wide range of applications. It fits any four-cylinder engine (Landirenzo Omegas Direct 3-4). Also used for 5-8 cylinders (Landirenzo Omegas Direct 5-8).
The unit is adapted by OBD II. Provides ignition timing with proprietary software and hardware.
From the factory, the entire system of LPG equipment is delivered as ready-to-use as possible. This eliminates the need to define many of the required parameters and simplifies the setup process. Typically, a routine auto-calibration is sufficient and the vehicle is ready to use gas as a vehicle fuel.
Landi Renzo gearboxes
They can be used for both atmospheric and turbocharged (TwinAir, MultiAir) engines. Modifications are available:
Gas reducer IG 1Magg
- LI - 10 (up to 140 kW);
- 10 Turbo (up to 160 kW);
- LI - 10 Magg (over 160 kW). The IG 1 brand is the most powerful reducer (from 192 to 246 hp), has a two-stage gas pressure reduction design. Weight - 1.87 kg.
To increase safety, all gearbox versions are equipped with solenoid valves. To clean the gas, there is a coarse fuel (gas) filter at the inlet.
Design features of gearboxes
These include:
- the devices do not have plastic parts, which increases their reliability;
- increased heat transfer area due to the ribbing of the heat exchanger. Thanks to this, the heating of the gearbox occurs very quickly;
- single-stage, except for the Landi Renzo IG 1 magg brand, which has two stages of pressure reduction and, accordingly, two diaphragms, interconnected during operation. This provides a high sensitivity of the gearbox, which has a positive effect on the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle when driving on gas;
- the relative position of the cavity for the fluid heating the reducer (antifreeze) and the membrane is such that in case of a possible burst, the gas will not enter the engine cooling system;
- a valve is provided for emergency relief of excess gas pressure if necessary (when the pressure reaches more than 2.5 bar)
- have three attachment points, which provides rigidity of installation and the ability to mount on a car of any brand.
Reducer Landi Renzo
The condensate is drained through an easily accessible drain connection provided in a special tank.
Performance and adjustments
Reducers provide:
- required gas pressure for any operating modes of the motor;
- quickly react to changes in engine operation;
- the engine runs without failures;
- dynamic car acceleration;
- minimum gas consumption;
- productivity - up to 40 kg of gas per hour;
- working temperature - from -20 ° С to + 120 ° С.
The main gearbox adjustments are made at the factory. An additional manual idle speed is provided, which is performed independently.
Injectors
MED nozzles have a high dosage accuracy and an opening - closing speed. They can be used both for propane - butane mixture and for methane. Installation of a gas pressure and temperature sensor on the injector rail is provided.
There are six types of nozzles that differ in color. Let's deal with each of them.
Landi Renzo Medium Blue
These blue nozzles have a poppet design for fast response times. Equipped with blue caps (similar to black, but with improved design). This indicates their power: 15 - 30 kW or 20 - 40 hp per cylinder.
A four-cylinder engine requires one injector rail. Here the power with such nozzles will be 60 - 120 kW or 80 - 160 hp. For an eight-cylinder power unit, two of them are needed, respectively, and the power will then double.
The ramp body is made of plastic and is equipped with a special connector for connecting pressure and vacuum sensors. Connecting dimensions: inlet - 14 mm, outlet - 5 mm.
Landi renzo small green
These injectors are green, used for injection engines with indirect injection. They can be used both for liquefied gas (propane - butane) and for compressed gas (methane). They have green caps (analogue - orange).
Power per cylinder - 20 kW (27 hp). Accordingly, a ramp of four injectors will have an output of 80 kW (108 hp) for a four-cylinder engine. Connection of a pressure sensor is possible. Otherwise, these nozzles have the same characteristics as the "Medium Blue".
Sensitive to gas quality. Therefore, it is imperative to install a fine fuel filter and monitor its condition.
Landi Renzo Medium Black
These injectors are black and have a capacity of 15 - 30 kW (20 - 49 hp) per cylinder. Analog - coils with purple caps. Used when converting a car to propane (liquefied gas) or methane (compressed natural gas).
The nozzles are collapsible, if necessary, this feature can be used. It is possible to replace a failed one injector, but not the entire ramp.
Sensitive to the purity of the gas used. Reinforced cleaning is mandatory. For this, it is possible to install two filters in series, one of which is with a sump. Other characteristics are the same as for the previously considered types.
Landi renzo large white
White, used as for propane-butane mixture (LPG). Can also be used for natural compressed gas (methane - CNG). Power per cylinder - 24 - 40 kW (34 - 55 hp). Accordingly, the power of the ramp of four injectors for a 4-cylinder engine is 96 - 160 kW (136 - 220 hp).
Landi renzo orange
Orange, nozzle power up to 20 kW per cylinder (27 hp). The ramp power is 80 kW (108 hp) for a four-cylinder motor.
Orange is an analogue of previously produced green nozzles, but more advanced and durable. Repairable, it is possible to replace one injector, but not all on the ramp at the same time. Gas quality requirements, design features are identical to the previous ones.
Landi renzo large purple
Purple, the most powerful nozzles from Landi Renzo. White analogue. The power per cylinder is 25 - 40 kW (34 - 55 hp). The power of one ramp of four injectors is from 100 to 160 kW (from 137 to 220 hp). Two ramps for the eight-cylinder engine - from 200 to 320 kW (from 274 to 440 hp).
The design of the metal-plastic ramp housing provides a connector for connecting a gas pressure and vacuum sensor. Other parameters, characteristics and requirements for these nozzles are the same as for those discussed above.
When replacing nozzles, it is imperative that they all be of the same color, even if an analogue is used.
