Paper Doll House: Origami

The dollhouse will come in handy in any children's game, and the origami technique will help to realize all the child's dreams and ideas of what a house should be like.

For such a house you will need 2 hours of free time. You should also stock up on such materials and tools:

  • thick paper, which should be in the form of a square with sides of about 50 by 50 cm;
  • simple pencil and eraser;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • double-sided colored paper to make trees and flowers;
  • felt-tip pens, pencils and paints.

Advice! If you took paper 50 cm wide and 50 cm long, then the product itself will be 25.5 cm deep and the same in width and length. These are not the only sizes that are suitable for creating a house. You can use a square in both larger and smaller sizes. For children, of course, it is better to take smaller paper so that it is easy for them to fold the craft.

Now let's get down to work on the house.

1. Take a paper square (if you have one-sided colored paper, then the colored side should be on the bottom - invisible) and fold the top corners with the bottom to make a rectangle (now the colored side is visible);

2. Place the left side of the workpiece on the right, making sure to create a square shape of the sheet. Open it again to the left to form a vertical fold in the middle;

3. First, fold the left edge to a vertical line in the center, and then do the same with the right. Smooth by hand;

4. Unscrew the top sheet of the left side with your fingers, as if climbing inward. Bend the upper corner towards you to make a small triangle at the top;

5. Open the top of the right side and do the same as in the previous paragraph;

6. Try placing the workpiece on a flat surface. Please note that its middle should be straight, and the walls, which are on the side, should form a parallel with each other, but at the same time adjoin the middle perpendicularly;

7. Go to decorating the house. It should be colorful, beautiful and eye-catching.

Start at the rooftop. To make it look like a tile, take scrapbooking paper (preferably pieces of different colors and patterns) and cut out circles of the same size from it. With a simple pencil, draw along the roof and mark the lowest point at the lowest point where the tiles will lie. There, draw a line parallel to the surface and glue circles, focusing on it. The tiles on the first line must not touch each other. Glue the next row on top of the first one, as it were, between the elements. Then the next one according to this principle, and so on.

The tiles do not have to be cut out of paper and glued. You can just draw the outline of the tiles with a simple pencil. And then paint with different colors of felt-tip pens or colored pencils;

8. The interior of the house (paintings, furniture, etc.) can also be painted. And on the outer walls, apply windows with curtains and flowers in pots, doors with felt-tip pens or pencils;

9. Make the trees as follows: take green paper, draw the outline of the trees, and then cut out. To make coasters for them, you need to cut out small semicircles.

Make cuts at the bottom of the trunks and on the stands so that you can insert one element into the second crosswise. Do this and place the craft on the table next to the house.

Advice! If you want to revive the house and its interior, then you can do the following: put on the floor of the house inside small real flowers in pots, a small rug, which you can also make yourself, just like a picture or a panel on the wall. Find beads, small pieces from bracelets, watches, and other things that can be used.

Simple paper house:

Before starting the construction of a country house, it will not be superfluous to make its layout in order to visually assess the advantages and disadvantages of the future structure. However, you can even make a miniature model of the house without a specific purpose, just for the collection. The main thing is that you can make it yourself from handy materials.

House design

The first step is to create individual structural elements in a reduced form. For convenience, it is recommended to use figures at a scale of 1:50. On a blank sheet of paper or thick landscape cardboard, it is necessary to draw the interior details of the house, including furniture and household appliances, to make it easier to navigate in space. Particular attention should be paid to the elements of the roof.

In order for the work to progress quickly and strictly according to the planned plan, it is necessary to prepare in advance a home set of tools for creativity, which includes:

  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • PVA glue;
  • brush;

It is better to use real drawings as a basis, which provide for window and door openings, as well as building communications and chimneys. Consider the fact that the ventilation ducts must be located in the "body" of the load-bearing wall. There is nothing difficult in how to make a layout of a house with your own hands, if you adhere to a clear sequence of actions and approach this issue extremely responsibly.

Instructions for use

A house model can be built from any materials that are at hand: paper, cardboard, wood (plywood) or foam. In this regard, there are absolutely no restrictions. As practice shows, the most durable and geometrically correct models are obtained precisely from plywood with a thickness of 6-8 mm. But for effective work you will need an additional tool: a drill and a jigsaw.

The frame of the house itself, the inner walls and the pitched roof of the desired configuration are made from a sheet of plywood. Places of cuts and joints, it is imperative to go through fine grinding in order to smooth out possible irregularities. The foundation is made of wide wooden slats that are glued to the bottom of the building's frame. Other structural elements are made from individual bars: porch, stairs, etc.

It is important to immediately determine what goal you set for yourself. If you need a regular layout that will allow you to appreciate the convenience of the layout, then you just need to make a frame and a roof. Do you want a beautiful model of the house? Get ready to insert front doors, miniature windows, trims, and other decorative work. The architectural image must be complete and not cause controversy. A photo of your home can get on the internet, so it's worth trying.

Subtleties of technology

The pitched roof is made strictly according to the geometric dimensions of the drawing you have taken - this will help to avoid gross flaws. Stove chimneys and ventilation ducts can be made from individual pieces of wood. The lower part must be cut at an angle so that the base of the part coincides with the slope of the roof, and glued. Downpipes can be easily soldered from ordinary thin sheet metal. If you want the built house to differ from a simple layout, you can additionally glue the tiles - it will be beautiful and original.

One of the most challenging design and modeling tasks is the creation of flat patterns for 3D products. For the development of design thinking, it is important to be able to make a drawing of this or that craft yourself. As in the manufacture of other toys, when starting to design, first of all, it is necessary to find a pattern in the construction of the product.

When building sweeps of houses, you first need to find the place from which the countdown will begin. Any corner can serve as such a place near the houses. Since all houses have walls, there will be a straight line at the base of the sweep, on which the dimensions of the walls are marked. Then determine the height of the wall and draw a second line parallel to the base. Then the gables and flaps for gluing are drawn. After making the sweep, a roof and a stand are made.

The simplest layout of the house is shown in Figure 87. It consists of a sweep, a roof and a stand. Windows and doors are made of colored paper using the application method. Finish small details.

For layouts, thick paper or thin cardboard is used.

To change the appearance of the house (Fig. 88), ie, its architecture, it is enough to increase (or decrease) the gables. The principle of building a sweep in this version is no different from the previous model. The left wall with the pediment was taken as the starting point. After assembling the layout, they begin to finish it.

If the house has any architectural additions, for example, a veranda, then there is no need to make it separately. This only complicates the process of making the craft.

Figure 89 shows a sweep of a house with a veranda. The back wall is taken as a reference point. To acquire skills in building unfolding, you can invite students to take any reference point as a basis. Architecturally, the house will not change, only the scan will be built differently.

In life, there are a variety of structures: this is an interesting material for making models. First you need to make a sketch of the house you like from nature, then perform a scan from the sketch. For a start, you can offer to make a layout of your apartment building or school.

Figure 90 shows an example of a house with three gables and a complicated roof. It is performed in two parts. The starting point is the left wall with a pediment. The stand is made 10-20 mm. wider than the walls of the house.

We did it with the toddler!

Since our family has a deep-rooted tradition of remembering everything at the last moment, this case was no exception. My son Vadik told about the assignment exactly one day before the date. There was nowhere to go - I had to get to work!

Tools and materials

For the layout of the city, no extra natural materials are required and a normal student should have everything:

  1. Ruler
  2. Colored paper + colored cardboard
  3. Colour pencils
  4. Scissors
  5. Brushes + paints (we used gouache)
  6. Glue
  7. A4 paper

How to make a layout of a city

We thought a little and decided that since time is running out, we will make a road + a couple of buildings + some kind of transport. We decided - we do it.

They took a piece of thick cardboard, cut out a 40 by 30 cm rectangle from it. Then, on one side, pasted over it with A4 office paper.

By carefully cutting off the edges, we got a base for the model, which is ready for painting.

Drew an impromptu road

The next step was taken by a high-rise building. I do not give explicit sizes, since everything was done by eye ...

Before gluing the building, I painted it

Here's what happened after gluing

We cut the back of the building to size, then glued it and painted it as well.

Children's model of the city

Sorry friends.

Due to the fact that the time was really running out - the shooting had to be postponed. The building alone took almost 2 hours.

The next step was taken by the bus. They did it according to the same principle as the building - glued and painted. Balconies were added to the building and an inscription was attached to the bottom - a store.

We piled a stop with a sign and made some trees.

The final step was to glue all the products onto the base. To better hold in some places, I had to use scotch tape :)

And here's the result!

And further…

The layout of the city with your own hands is ready!

House model and its architectural model - how are they different? The first one can be made from available materials: paper, cardboard or wood. It does not have to repeat the shape of any particular structure. The architecture of the building can be anything you like, as long as the result of your creativity pleases both you and those around you.

An architectural model is an exact copy of a building with repetition of all the main and secondary features. It is built with expensive materials and can take months of hard work to create. Therefore, we propose to start with building a model of a house from scrap materials. Don't know how? In this article, you will find guidelines and detailed instructions on how to make a cardboard and wood mockup.

Miniature paper house

The model of a paper house, the diagram of which is attached in this article, is a simple construction, although the work on its creation can be an interesting creative process that requires attention and perseverance. You will need thick paper, newsprint or packaging will not work.

It is better to take a standard sheet of 29x21 cm. If the contours of your future house do not fit into the size of the sheet, you can glue two together using the "joint to joint" method with overlapping a strip 2 centimeters wide. After the blank of the required size is received, it is necessary to make the markup. We propose to build a model of a house out of paper, which will be rectangular in plan, two-story, with three doors, windows and

Drawing

First of all, we recommend that you copy our scheme, which you see in the photo, in order to indicate the dimensions of the future building. Then you need to decide what length and width the layout will have. Write these numbers on the diagram. Next, determine the height of the first and second floors, as well as the roof. Now you can transfer the resulting drawing to the base sheet using a ruler and a pencil, measuring out all the parameters of the future house. The next step is to draw windows and doors. Their location can be changed as you like, depending on your taste. The layout of a paper house allows you to make design changes at any stage of construction.

Assembling the layout

The next step is to draw all the "wings" that you see in the diagram. They will act as mounting brackets when assembling the breadboard, supporting the roof and connecting the walls. This is followed by the most important part of the work, requiring accuracy and attention. Go through all the lines of the drawing with a ballpoint pen along the ruler and with pressure. This is done so that you can fold the paper where you want it.

A paper house layout requires precise fold lines. After all the borders have been drawn, you can cut out windows and doors, as well as "wings" with scissors. The next crucial moment: it is necessary to bend the entire structure correctly and glue it in the right places. For this we recommend PVA glue. When the layout is dry, you can start painting.

House layout made of cardboard

Such buildings are made not only of paper. A do-it-yourself model of a house can also be made of cardboard, a material strong enough to make the building look "real", with opening doors, windows, floors and ceilings, interior decoration and even inhabitants sitting inside on miniature sofas and chairs.

It all depends on how much the "builder" is interested in the end result. He can build any model of the house with his own hands. However, its implementation is a complex creative process that requires accuracy and perseverance. You will need an ordinary tool: scissors, a stationery retractable knife, an awl, a ruler (preferably metal) and PVA glue.

Corrugation as the main material

It is better to take two types of cardboard for making a layout: smooth and corrugated three-layer. The second will go to the floor and ceiling, and the first will be used to make a corner for connecting individual parts of the structure, small details of the external and internal design. A cardboard house layout needs a base. It can be a plate glued from two layers of corrugation or cut from plywood. The base or sole of the model is drawn according to the size of the future house and can be filled with decorative miniature flower beds, garden vases, and benches.

Next, you need to draw on the basis of the layout of the walls, porch and outbuildings. After that, you can start making the main parts: walls with cut out door and window openings, the ceiling and floor of the second floor (if you need to prepare corners from thin smooth cardboard to assemble the structure. The longer the corner, the stronger the connection. Optimally, its length should not be less than 70% of the joint length The width of the cardboard corner is 1.5-2.0 cm.

House model made of wood

A do-it-yourself model of a house from wood can be made only with the participation of adults, since the work is related to woodworking machines for home use. They are quite dangerous if there are no working skills. Hand tools for woodworking also require care when working with them. The blades of knives, planers, files and graters have sharply sharpened cutting edges.

Blanks

Do-it-yourself models of wooden houses require accuracy in the process. Their creation is a fascinating creative activity, during which the master can show ingenuity and ingenuity. First you need to make a drawing of the future house. Then make a base for the breadboard. After that, you can start creating parts.

Walls and floors are best made of thin planks 1.5-2.0 centimeters wide and 5.0-7.0 mm thick. The workpieces are placed on a flat surface close to each other and fastened with the same strips, which are applied perpendicularly from above and pressed with some kind of weight. Previously, all parts are coated with PVA glue. After the manufactured block dries out, it can be customized according to the drawing and docked with other parts.

Finishing

The assembled model must be sanded and sanded. This is done by hand with 25-H grade glass cloth on a fabric backing. Then the surfaces are sanded clean with 8-H grade sandpaper to full smoothness. After processing, the layout can be painted, doors installed, windows inserted and finishing work can be done.

A do-it-yourself model of a house, as a rule, has a removable roof. This is necessary in order to have free access to the interior, since toy furniture and other interior decoration items will have to be installed in a miniature building. The surface of the walls is pasted over with "wallpaper", that is, painted strips of paper. The floor must be painted brown or covered with linoleum - it can be made from oilcloth.
