A huge selection of different models of tables that can be purchased in furniture stores does not detract from the desire of some of us to make a table out of boards with our own hands - according to our own project, having the personality and charm of a valuable handmade item.

A special charm to the prospect of making a table out of boards with your own hands is given by the fact that you can choose any model, tabletop shape and size - if only they are comfortable and suitable for the room in which the table will be installed.

A few examples below will help you make your choice and help you make the right model for you. In addition, drawings of how to make a simple table from boards will help to more clearly represent the future design and assembly processes.

Table 1. Sturdy and stable dining table for the home

To make this table, we need tools such as a jigsaw, an electric drill, a screwdriver, a grinder. You can, of course, do without some of the above "helpers" by using a screwdriver and a bar with sandpaper attached to it - just such a replacement will increase the time and effort spent on making the table.

The material for the manufacture of the countertop is a grooved board, at least 30 mm thick. The tongue and groove provides a tight connection of the boards, increasing the life of the table, since with this method of joining, the likelihood of food residues getting into the gaps between the boards is practically excluded.

For the manufacture of the rest of the table elements, an ordinary 50 mm board is taken.

  1. Boards, if they are not processed, must be properly sanded - in addition to aesthetic considerations, elementary safety and practicality require this: a sanded board is easier to paint, and much less paint is required for such a surface;
  2. Cut table details:
  • Grooved boards for tabletops, 230 cm long - 6 pcs.;
  • Spacer board about 170 cm long;
  • Bars for fastening the countertop (their length should coincide with the width of the countertop, or be slightly smaller) - 4 pcs.;
  • Bars for legs - 4 pcs., 2 pieces of board for their base.
  • Cover all parts with a layer of varnish and let them dry;
  • Tightly connect the boards of the countertop with each other (Fig. 1);
  • Attach 4 bars across the boards with self-tapping screws, placing them evenly along the entire length of the tabletop and retreating from its end by 20-30 cm (Fig. 2);
  • To improve the appearance of the product, saw off the ends of the fastening bars at an angle of 45 degrees, carefully cut the tongue of the outer boards, and slightly round off the corners of the tabletop with a jigsaw.

  • Using a template and a jigsaw, give the legs the same configuration, as shown in the figure below;
  • Reliable fastening of the legs is carried out in three stages: first, we attach the legs to the extreme transverse bars connecting the tabletop boards; then we connect the legs with the spacer beam (fig. 3). Finally, we fix the legs from above, through the tabletop;
  • We put the base boards on the lower parts of the legs and secure them securely (Fig. 4);
  • It remains to cover all parts of the table with another layer of varnish and let it dry thoroughly.

    Perhaps there is nothing easier than making this version of a table from boards with your own hands, shown in photo 5. Table dimensions: 1200x740 mm, height - 750 mm.

    To make it you will need:

    • Edged board, smoothly planed 40x140 mm;
    • 2 bars 40x60x740 mm;
    • 8 confirmations 70-75 mm long; self-tapping screws of various lengths;
    • Chisel and plane;
    • Electric jigsaw, drill with a special drill for confinement, furniture key, grinder.

    The first step is to assemble the countertop, fastening the boards with two transverse bars, placing them at a distance of 120 mm from both ends of the future countertop and using self-tapping screws up to 80-85 mm long (so as not to reach the outer surface of the countertop). If ordinary boards are used, it is better to leave small, only 10 mm, gaps of the same width between them in the manufacture of countertops: through slots will prevent contamination of the countertop with food debris, without interfering with cleaning and without reducing its aesthetic appeal.

    To achieve the same width of gaps in the tabletop, during its assembly, it is necessary to lay between the boards a centimeter standard made of a lath or other solid material.

    Second step: assembling the table legs. On a sheet of chipboard or plywood, draw a template - a rectangle with sides 600 mm (width) and 690 mm (length). First, we make one pair of legs, then, in the same way, the second: we lay the 2 boards on the template in an X-shape, mark the lines of the upper and lower cuts of the legs, as well as the lines of their intersection - in this place the boards will be fastened together. We saw off the ends of the boards along the outlined lines, and at the intersection with the chisel we select recesses 20 mm deep, for the “half-tree” connection. We fasten the legs with 35 mm self-tapping screws;

    Third step- final assembly of the table. The drawing shows in detail how to make this simple table from boards: thanks to it, the assembly process will not cause difficulties (Figure 6).

You must use dry lumber. How it will be dried is up to you. Evaluate in advance whether you can dry the wood with high quality at home, but if this is not possible, it will be more profitable and wiser to order ready-made material. During shrinkage, the wood will deform, this must be taken into account, but the purchase of already dry wood is much more expensive. For high-quality shrinkage at home, you will need:

    • constantly stable temperature regime, otherwise the material will dry out in waves;
    • good ventilation in the room, no draft;
    • it should be remembered that this process is very long, the material should be dried, without shifting from place to place, for about six months.
    1. Table top.

    Strength plays an important role here, as well as the absence or low absorption of moisture by the wood. Optimal material: pine, oak. For a pine countertop, choose a cheap, but high-quality material - without rotten areas, cracks, protruding knots and other unnecessary defects.

    1. Table legs.

    Optimal material: birch, it is she who is strong enough for constant load, boxwood and acacia are also suitable.

    To make a table made of wood, the material must first be processed with sandpaper. If you are just starting your carpentry career, you should use birch, pine, oak, acacia and boxwood in your work.

    There are several advantages to using wood in construction:

    • easily undergoes various processing;
    • sufficiently resistant to changes in temperature and humidity;
    • good shock absorption: practically no chips and scratches;
    • just undergoing restoration;
    • environmentally friendly material;
    • the cost varies depending on the type of wood and processing methods;
    • the material is easily sawn, cut, chipped off with special tools;
    • careful and constant care is not required
    • external aesthetics.

    That being said, there are some significant disadvantages that are worth keeping in mind:

    • the cost in comparison with other materials is much higher;
    • the tree can deform under the influence of weight;
    • not resistant to mold and mildew, corrosion without the use of special coatings;
    • wood cannot be called a moisture resistant material;
    • over time, the above aesthetic appearance can be significantly lost.

    Wooden tables: assortment of shapes and sizes

    It is important to determine in advance what shape and configuration the table is required. Professionals advise you to pay attention to several points:

    • the table should fit well into the room where it is planned to be installed;
    • consider how many people will constantly be at this table and what it will be used for, calculate the size of the product from this parameter;
    • choose a folding table option if from time to time it will be needed for a larger number of people;
    • take into account the age and capabilities of the people (for example, the table for children will be different).

    The table can be of different shapes. In addition to different shapes, the table can also have different support under the tabletop itself, in other words, a different number of legs.

    • table with one leg - this type of installation is suitable only for a small product, it can be used, for example, for making a children's table;
    • a table with two stable legs - this type of table is good for a rectangular or oval table top, but is rather uncomfortable and unstable for constant use in everyday life;
    • a table with four legs - this is the most common type, has the greatest (in comparison with the rest) stability, is suitable for both dining and writing, and a coffee table - is the most versatile type of this type of furniture.

    In order to guess the most successful table size for any room, you should take into account and keep in mind constantly the area of ​​the room itself and that part of it that is the maximum allowable for placing this piece of furniture, and, of course, the wishes of the owners should also be taken into account.

    Features of the assembly of wooden tables

    There are several types of handcrafted wooden tables.

    • o on dowels (attached with glue);
    • o on tsars (necessary on tables that are periodically disassembled);
    • o bolted (similar connections are used mainly for garden furniture).

    Workshop and tools for woodworking

    1. Premises

    There are several characteristics that are necessary when organizing your own workshop:

    • work should be carried out under some kind of canopy, ideal: a garage or a shed (otherwise there will be too much dependence on the weather);
    1. you need to make a high-quality hood, otherwise the dust will constantly settle on the finished product and you will not achieve straight lines or high-quality finishing of the material. In addition to dust, the hood eliminates the toxic odor of varnishes and wood paints.

    Instruments

    • an electric jigsaw gives greater precision in cutting wood than a saw;
    • rotary miter box facilitates corner cutting;
    • the sander is universal in use and is clearly required for the manufacture of wooden furniture;
    • a manual router is required when machining holes;
    • impregnating and other compositions.

    Consumables for working with wood: varnishes, paints, impregnation, glue

    • used engine oil is a great option for impregnation, but unfortunately not suitable for the dining table;
    • the optimum will be impregnation with a water-polymer emulsion two times, with a break of three to five days;
    • water-based acrylic varnishes are superior to older nitrocellulose furniture varnishes;
    • PVA is proven to be superior to bone carpenter's glue.

    Wooden table options

    1. Wooden table with benches.
    • It is required to assemble the table cover: the boards are attached to the crossbars with self-tapping screws (it is important to use self-cuts as opposed to nails, since the latter contribute to the destruction of the wood surface).
    • After that, the legs are fixed to the crossbars, which must be strong and durable in order to withstand the weight of the table itself and the people sitting behind it, so the minimum thickness will be 4 centimeters).
    • Then it is required to fix the side crossbars to the legs, on the basis of which the benches should be built, fastening them with bolts, and not with self-tapping screws for greater strength.
    • Next, we fix the benches and proceed to the subsequent processing of the furniture.

    There are several disadvantages to this invention that must be borne in mind:

    • If a person stands up sharply on one side, then all products will literally fly towards the other.
    • It is also not very comfortable to sit at this type of table.

    1. Pallet board table.

    If you have at your disposal boards of different sizes, colors and, possibly, even tree species, you can make an interesting structure out of them, organizing the elements in a special way: alternating, grading, creating your own logic for building boards. Among other things, also use discarded dry boards. The side parts of the pallet can act as a good frame, and the assembled tabletop from the rest. We recommend that you carry out this work in a courtyard or garage with an exhaust hood due to the large amount of dust accumulating everywhere.

    • For the legs, use a block that is more than five centimeters thick. Prepare all the tools and parts necessary for the work in advance: the wood needs to be sanded precisely along the fibers with sandpaper, starting with a coarse one, and then moving on to a finer grain, carefully removing dust. Next, you need to paint the boards with acrylic or oil paint, apply the desired stencils, symbols or paintings. After that, carefully cover with varnish, repeating this procedure several times and dry.
    • An attractive rustic table should be assembled from pallets (also called wooden pallets). In the event that a non-aqueous varnish is used, it will be enough to apply two or three layers, in the other case, it is required to apply more times, up to approximately ten. After finishing the varnishing of the elements, it is worth moving on to the installation, which consists of several steps.
    • We fix the tabletop with planks, connect the boards tightly to each other and fix it with self-tapping screws. It is imperative to use a drill so that the wood is not damaged when using self-tapping screws. Then we coat the joints with glue, treat the entire tabletop with special means that protect the tree from decay.
    • Lastly, we put the legs: you need to fasten them with self-tapping screws in order to learn the structure, at the bottom we install jumpers.
    1. Wooden table with glued top.

    For a glued tabletop, you need to take boards of the same width. For this experiment, you will need grooves (and therefore a milling machine). On old floorboards, grooves are already present, if the appearance of the table is unimportant and its purpose is not for home, it is worth using them.

    • The boards need to be laid out on a completely flat surface, this is important for the further collection of the countertop.
    • Thoroughly coat the sidewalls with glue, join, avoiding gaps between the boards, then tighten the resulting invention with special tools. Leave the product to dry for one to three days. If the gluing operation of the new tabletop was carried out correctly, then the gaps will not appear. If cracks appear, then the tabletop will further creep even more.
    • It is required to process the ends - first, trim them with a jigsaw, and then grind them. If there is no belt sander, replace it with manual processing - first use coarse sandpaper, then medium grit sandpaper. Then carefully varnish the resulting furniture in several layers (about ten layers of varnish, after every third layer it is required to process the surface with sandpaper and remove the dust with a damp pin), in no case do not rush at this final stage, then the installation of the product is required.
    • It is required to make massive L-shaped legs. Take boards with a thickness of at least two and a half centimeters such that their thickness coincides. Join them at a ninety degree angle.
    • Make a selection on the boards to be connected, coat the joint with wood glue, and then install the screws. After the glue dries, coat the parts with varnish and bring them together to form the final composition.

    What are the tables

    If you decide from the boards with your own hands, then you need to figure out what types of tables there are, and decide what exactly you need.

    The simplest is an ordinary table with four legs, a table top and a frame. It will not be difficult to make it even for someone who is not experienced in woodworking.

    If you are experienced enough in this matter, then you can make the dining table round or oval, decorate it with carvings, painting or burn patterns and patterns on the surface.

    A more difficult option is from boards. In fact, this is the same ordinary table, but rather thick and long crossbars are attached to its legs, on which the seat boards are laid on top. This gives us a table with benches on both sides. Such furniture is well suited both for the kitchen and for installation in the courtyard of a private house or summer cottage.

    If the room only has free space in the corner, make a corner table that fits perfectly into this unoccupied space. It may not be as convenient to dine at as at a classic table, but you can put a TV, microwave or kettle on it - there will be enough space.

    Materials and tools

    Buying everything you need to make a table with your own hands is quite simple and will not be difficult or costly. The main material for the dining table is wood, or rather:

    • Planks 25 to 50 millimeters thick, 100–150 millimeters wide, rather long.
      The thicker the material for the table top, frame and legs, the heavier, but also more durable they will be.
      Choose planks made of good wood, free of any defects.
    • Bar. It is necessary for making table legs, so choose thick and sturdy samples. The timber can be replaced with the same planks by positioning them with the letter "G", or using commercially available aluminum table legs. You can also use balusters as legs (curly carved wooden posts that support the railing on some stairs).
    • Chipboard or plywood sheets, which can be used as materials for countertops. Choose specimens that are thick and sturdy enough to withstand daily stress.

    As with materials, and DIY tools and fasteners are easy to get, they are in most homes. If something is missing, you can buy it at the nearest hardware store.

    • pencil, corner, roulette and a ruler;
    • jigsaw or hacksaw on wood;
    • screwdriver with a set of attachments and drills;
    • plane, if it is necessary to pre-process the boards from irregularities and defects;
    • kit self-tapping screws, furniture bolts and nuts;
    • sandpaper or Sander;
    • varnish or stain, roller or tassel for processing the finished table.

    Attention! When working with the jigsaw, always remember the safety rules and do not allow small children or pets to be near!

    Simple kitchen table made of boards

    First, we need to make a tabletop.
    There are several options here:

    • Cut a piece of the desired size from a sheet of chipboard or plywood using a jigsaw;
    • Lay several planks that are wide enough and subsequently fix them on the frame;
    • Take a large number of relatively narrow boards, place them sideways up and glue them together with wood glue.
      The end result is a fairly thick, heavy and sturdy tabletop.

    Stages of work

    Step 1. We collect from boards countertop.




    Step 2. We make a frame from boards or their wooden blocks. In size, it can be made equal to the table top or with a slight indent, about 2–2.5 centimeters on each side of the table. Having fastened the parts of the frame with screws, connect the frame with the tabletop with them.

    Step 3. After we with put the frame and the tabletop together, half of the table is already ready. It remains only to make his legs. If a timber is used for this, drill two holes for the furniture bolts in it. Moreover, they can be made both on one side, one above the other, and on two different sides for a more reliable attachment to the frame.

    Important! Carefully check the length of the table legs, they should not differ from each other. Otherwise, the table will stand unevenly and wobble. If you do not want it not to spoil the floor material, attach rubber "shoes" to the lower part of the legs.


    Then make similar holes in the table frame and fasten the legs and frame with bolts and nuts. Also, the legs can be fixed from above using screws, but over time, such fastening may weaken.

    If you want to make table legs from planks, fold two planks with the letter "L" on the outer or inner corner of the frame and fix them using the same furniture bolts or screws.

    To prevent the legs from loosening, connect the folded boards to each other in the lower and middle parts using screws or nails.

    That's it, simple and reliable, DIY, ready!

    Advice: Before you start, make a simple drawing, preferably from several sides. Check the dimensions of the parts constantly. Some parts of the same size can be cut at the same time if you fix the boards or timber with clamps.

    Pallet table

    Wooden pallets are widely used in shops and warehouses as cargo pallets.

    If you wish, you can get several pieces for free and use them as a basis for making an original and unusual kitchen table.

    If at least one side of the pallet surface is solid, then you no longer need to make a tabletop, it is ready.

    You just need to process it and, if desired, round the corners.

    Note! Since the pallets are originally intended for warehouses, no one is involved in grinding and cleaning them. Therefore, before you knock a table out of them, carefully sand them and remove all burrs. Irregularities and defects of the boards can be hidden with putty.

    Stages of work

    Step 1. Most pallets are open and there is a large enough space between the boards. distance, because of which to use the surface of the pallet as countertop not very convenient. There are two ways to solve this problem: either make boards appropriate size and anchor their screws between the pallet boards, or install a sheet on top plywood or chipboard.




    Step 2. As for the usual table, table legs from pallets can be made from timber or boards. The best thing to fasten them with thick enough and strong with a bar of a pallet with nails, screws or furniture bolts.




    To prevent the legs from loosening, connect them with crossbars.

    You should start working, of course, after you have chosen a certain model of the subject. If, as such, there are no skills in carpentry, then aiming at a whole work of art is not worth it. But even the easiest option in terms of manufacturing can look quite dignified and even more beautiful from the fact that it will be made on its own.

    List of required tools or how to make a wooden table with your own hands using what is in each pantry

    After examining and sorting through with your own hands many drawings of wooden tables, you can come to the conclusion that you will need the entire carpentry set of tools. Indeed, for a comfortable and fast work, you will need to acquire the following:

    1. Electric jigsaw.
    2. .
    3. Grinder.
    4. Screwdriver.
    5. A set of drills of various diameters.
    6. Brushes.
    7. Sandpaper with zero grit.
    8. Materials for processing (stains, varnishes or paints).
    9. Materials for elimination of defects (wood putty and similar).
    10. Joiner's vice and glue.



    The list is rather big and you can think about whether it is easier to buy a ready-made piece of furniture than to puzzle over how to make a table out of wood with your own hands with a minimum of available tools. But there are no hopeless situations, so we will contrive and find new ways to achieve the goal.

    • The jigsaw is replaced with a regular saw (however, there will be an order of magnitude more work to eliminate irregularities).
    • There is no need for a router if the tabletop is made from a single sheet, and not separate segments.
    • For the same reason, joiner's glue along with the vice can be removed from the list.
    • You can also cross out the grinder, but it is worth clarifying that it is almost impossible to manually polish the surface to the required state. Therefore, we choose a more budgetary option - a grinding attachment for a screwdriver.
    • It is unlikely that you can do without a screwdriver, but this tool is available in almost every home.

    Other parts and materials, even if they are absent in the house, then their purchase is not so expensive.

    Do-it-yourself assembly according to the drawings of a wooden table with a simple and waste-free design

    To assemble a table with your own hands from wood according to this drawing, you do not need to be a trained specialist. The design is simple and straightforward, the main thing is to do everything carefully and slowly. This option is also attractive in that it can be made in two forms: both a coffee table and a dining table. The only condition is that in the manufacture of the latter, support stands will be needed (they can be easily purchased at a hardware store).

    So, the instruction on how to make a table out of wood with your own hands is as follows (see diagram number 1):

    1. The preparation of the canvas is carried out (sanding, cleaning, treatment with antiseptics, sealing of microcracks, etc.).

    2. Transfer the dividing lines from the drawing to the canvas.

    3. If you move from the left edge of the horizontally laid sheet to the right, then the markup will look like this:

    40 mm - line (this cut will serve as a support bar).
    250 mm - curved line (this cut will play the role of legs, in the case of a coffee table, and if the dining option is chosen - as a support stand for high legs).
    900 mm - curved line (the largest segment, of course, will be used as a tabletop in the future).
    250 mm - the last straight line (divides the remainder into a leg and a support bar).

    4. The elements that will be supporting (legs and strips) must be shortened on the sides by 30 mm. This is done so that their edges are not visible from under the countertop.

    5. Putting the leg with the arc down, we see that it rests on sharp edges. In this case, we will not get the stability of the product. Therefore, we measure 30 mm from the top of the corner and make a horizontal cut on both sides.

    6. Attach a bar to the upper part of the legs with self-tapping screws. The step between them is 150 mm.

    7. We step back from the edge of the table top 250 mm and put the legs in this place. Self-tapping screws (4 pcs) will be screwed into the worktop through the bar, so make sure that they do not get into the transverse fasteners.

    We paint or varnish the completely assembled product. To obtain a high-quality mirror-smooth surface, it is not enough to sand on clean wood. After covering with the same varnish, one way or another, but small villi "stand on end". Therefore, after each applied layer, it is necessary to sand the surface with fine sandpaper. And the applied layers should be at least three. The end result is a beautiful piece of furniture without any extra money.

    Furniture made from solid wood has been highly prized at all times. Now it can rightfully be considered a luxury item. However, anyone with basic carpentry skills and sufficient desire can do table from an array with minimal investment.

    6. Choosing a table model

      Before proceeding with the selection of material and directly creating a piece of furniture, you need to decide on its design. The model directly depends on the functional purpose and characteristics of the room.

      For example, if the room is small, it is better to choose compact products.

      In this case, a neat round table with 1 leg will do.

      For a spacious dining room, living room, the ideal option is a classic rectangular table.

      It can also be an oval roomy table with a massive underframe.

      If there is a need for a product with a large capacity, but the room does not imply the presence of large-sized items, you should think about a sliding or folding structure.

      The table top can be extended if necessary.

      For novice craftsmen, it is easier to make a piece of furniture of a square or rectangular shape on 4 medium-sized legs.

      Such a table is manufactured without additional mechanisms.

      What kind of wood is best?

      Each type of wood has its own characteristics that should be considered when designing furniture.

      People have long considered wood as the main building material.

      Spruce 450 6,8 Less even texture in comparison with pine, it has more knots. It is not so well processed with an antiseptic, more capricious in processing.
      Aspen 380 6,5 The texture is not particularly expressive, the color is whitish-green. Due to its softness, it does not crack, it is easy to process, it is not very susceptible to decay. However, traces of mechanical stress may remain on surfaces made of this material (for example, if a child draws with strong pressure on a pen or pencil)
      Fir 370 5,9 It is soft, does not tolerate moisture well, is subject to decay processes, therefore it is not suitable for furniture that will be used outdoors or in rooms with high humidity. Easy to process, which will simplify the work of novice joinery craftsmen.

      So, after carefully examining the table, it becomes clear that soft wood species (aspen, fir) will be easy to work with, but during the service they can be disappointing due to their susceptibility to mechanical stress and low moisture resistance. It is better to opt for harder varieties such as pine, larch, beech and oak.

      We did not consider heavy-duty wood species (hornbeam, yew, etc.), since their processing is extremely difficult at home.

      Necessary materials

      To make a table, you will need the following materials.

    • Beam 40 mm x 40 mm for attaching the support to the table top and giving the structure strength and stability.
    • Beam 70 mm x 70 mm for making legs. If the design provides for classic carved balusters, and the experience of woodworking does not allow you to make them yourself, you can always choose a suitable option in a furniture accessories store and purchase ready-made elements of the product.
    • Plank and for countertops (thickness not less than 40 mm).
    • Wood glue.
    • Furniture dowels and confirmants.
    • Antiseptic.
    • Varnish or glaze for processing wood products.

    The number of boards depends on their width and the expected size of the table.

    Tools for the job

    All tools necessary for work can be divided into 3 groups.

    Do-it-yourself wood table: step-by-step instructions

    Table top

    Handle everything thoroughly boards.

    Having achieved a perfectly flat and smooth surface, drill holes in each end for the dowels with a step of 10-12 cm (for extreme boards, they should be made only on one side).

    All edges must be milled and the surfaces sanded.

    After thorough cleaning of shavings and dust, they must be coated with special wood glue (PVA can be used).

    Then the boards are fastened together using wooden dowels placed in the prepared holes.

    Important! When gluing, direct the pattern in different directions. This increases the strength of the product, reduces the risk of deformation.

    When the canvas is assembled from the boards, it is necessary to dry it, securing it with clamps.

    After completely dry, cut off the excess glue with a construction knife and sand the surface with a grinder.Treat the finished shield with a special antiseptic.

    Thus, it takes one day of work to make a canvas from a tree.

    Underframe

    Let's consider the process of creating a standard underframe (4 legs and a rectangular frame).

    Saw off the necessary size beams for all elements, process them with a grinder or manually with sandpaper and cover with an antiseptic.

    To save time, it is better to carry out the procedure in parallel with the countertop.

    When the prepared elements are ready, fasten the pairs of legs with smaller transverse beams using furniture screws.

    They can be preliminarily greased with glue.

    Important! Self-tapping screws are screwed from the inside at an acute angle to the surface.

    In the same way, fasten the legs with long beams.

    Drill holes in the center of each leg for further assembly of the furniture.

    If you are planning to do table two-color, the painting of the prepared elements should be carried out before final assembly. If the product is of the same color, assemble the structure and paint it as a whole.

    Final assembly of the product

    Place the worktop face down on a flat, clean surface and start working:

    Attach the underframe on top as it should be attached and draw along the inside with a pencil.

    Mark the joints of the parts with a pitch of 200 - 230 mm on both surfaces.

    Drill holes in the underframe and countertop, remove the shavings from them, coat with glue and assemble the product using special furniture fasteners (as in the manufacture of a wooden canvas). Use a mallet if necessary.

    Leave the garment to dry for a day (at least 12 hours).

    The final stage

    When the structure is assembled, make the final sanding, apply decorative elements in accordance with the design project and cover with several layers of varnish or glaze.

    Adhering to the instructions, you can easily make a table out of wood with your own hands.

    Important! Each coat must dry completely. Therefore, the final finishing of the table will take at least another 1 day. Therefore, the process of creating your own masterpiece from the array will take you about 3-4 days.

    Spending the minimum amount of money and a few days, you will get a reliable and durable dining board table and oak, pine or other material you like, and a lot of positive emotions.
