How to calculate the amount of building materials for a frame house. Estimate of a frame house with timber frame walls with siding, with a columnar prefabricated foundation, trimmer joists, metal roofing. Windows and doors in the building

The design of a frame-panel building includes the calculation of the amount of all materials. However, such information may be required long before the project in order to determine the characteristics of the structure. To make a decision, it is better to calculate the frame-panel house in several versions, changing the number of rooms, their location, total area, number of storeys. In this way, you can choose the best project for yourself and not exceed the planned cost of construction.

What does a frame-panel house consist of?

The frame-panel house is assembled using the following technology:

  • the foundation is being erected: slab, columnar or shallow tape;
  • a frame is assembled from a bar of a certain thickness and length (the step of the bar depends on these parameters);
  • finished shields with thermal insulation inside are delivered to the construction site, walls are assembled from them (that is, the frame is fixed with shields);
  • floor beams are laid;
  • a roof with a residential or non-residential attic is being constructed;
  • a rough floor is laid (on the 1st floor, on the upper floors and on the attic, if provided);
  • at the request of the customer, the walls are additionally insulated from the outside;
  • the facing of the external walls is carried out according to the curtain facade technology;
  • from the inside, the walls are finished with a suitable material (for example, plaster and paint or wood paneling).

Based on this technology, a list of building materials is compiled, from which panel houses are erected in private construction. Then their quantity and cost are calculated. It is important here to round up in order to avoid a shortage of the necessary building materials in the process of building an object.

For the construction of the facade, you will need the following building materials:

  • timber for frame device 140x45 mm or 150x50 mm;
  • OSB, chipboard, DSP, assembled into panels at the factory;
  • basalt wool slabs for additional insulation of the facade by the thickness of the timber;
  • waterproofing fabric (Izospan type) to protect the frame from precipitation;
  • timber with a thickness of 40 mm for the device of the lathing for the finishing material;
  • facade cladding, for example, PVC siding, block house.

Frame house shield

Exterior wall material consumption is calculated based on the area of the façade, taking into account the dimensions of each wall. To do this, you need to know the dimensions of the shields that the plant manufactures. Also, the panels can be assembled directly at the construction site. In this case, the consumption of materials for 1 shield is taken into account, then the resulting number is multiplied by the number of panels required.

One shield is assembled from the following layers (from the inside to the outside):

  • inner lining made of OSB (chipboard, particle board) 10 mm thick;
  • side frame (board 145x45 mm, distance between posts up to 60 cm);
  • insulation (basalt wool 150 mm thick);
  • horizontal counter-lattice from a bar 45x45 mm;
  • insulation (basalt wool 50 mm thick);
  • windproof film;
  • outer crate (board 20x90 mm);
  • external cladding made of OSB (chipboard, particle board) 10 mm thick.

How not to make a mistake in the calculations?

Knowing the area of the facade walls, you can calculate the amount of each building material required for its construction. However, it is difficult to avoid errors if there is no experience of such calculations. That is why it is better to contact specialists. For example, on the website www.sdbgp.ru you can find out everything about the construction of frame houses and order the development of an individual project. The calculation is made for the entire object, including, except for the facade, foundation, partitions, ceilings, roofing materials, utilities.

How much does it cost to build a frame house: calculate with an online calculator

To know exactly how much it costs to build a house in 2016, calculate the price with an online calculator. This is a convenient aggregator designed to enter the necessary information and quickly obtain a result.

What data need to be entered into the frame house calculator

The calculation on the frame house calculator is carried out without taking into account the cost of installation work. The result is not accurate, but as close as possible to the final cost. Get ready to enter the following data into special forms:

  • Building type: residential or country house, hangar, warehouse, other object (choose from the proposed menu);
  • Number of floors (there is an option "one and an attic", etc.);
  • Width of the structure;
  • Construction length;
  • Floor height;
  • Material for the construction of load-bearing (non-load-bearing) walls, partitions (in our case, this is LSTK);
  • Roof shape (single, gable, complex or hip).

The cost includes the required number of frame elements, hardware for fastening and instructions for self-assembly.

How to save money on the construction of a frame house in Moscow?

There is some compelling evidence that turnkey frame house construction is the most inexpensive type of construction. What you can save on:

  • On the project: firstly, standard projects with sections of architectural and structural solutions are cheaper with us. Secondly, order a house kit from us and the project will cost you free of charge. Minus 30-40 thousand rubles;
  • On the foundation: the weight of the frame is distributed evenly over the entire area of the base and is about 37 kg per sq. M. Using a heavy foundation will lead to unnecessary expenses - light screw piles can be dispensed with here. Minus 2/3 the cost of a concrete foundation;
  • On the assembly of the frame: attracting professionals for construction is more profitable, because it excludes non-compliance with technological subtleties and reduces the time to a minimum. The cost of installation is calculated at the rate of 2 thousand rubles. per square meter of construction. However, lightweight frame profiles can be assembled with your own hands, because the weight of even the largest part does not exceed 100 kg. So you can still save on assembly. Minus 200 thousand rubles. (for a house of 100 sq. m.).

The amount will vary depending on the materials chosen for finishing (inside and outside), on the complexity of the project, the presence (absence) of an attic or second floor, type of roof. Decide on the details, enter them into the calculator and get the final amount. You can also consult our specialists on the price by sending a request in the feedback form in the section

When building a frame house, an important and crucial stage is the preparation of material for the walls of the house. To erect the walls of a frame house, we need the following building materials:

A beam for the construction of vertical racks, horizontal connecting jumpers of the frame;

Edged board;

Heat and sound insulation;

Polyurethane foam;

Waterproofing-roofing material;

Fastening material (staples, nails, etc.).

The amount of building material for the construction of the walls of a frame house is calculated based on the size of the future building. For example, you need to build the walls of a frame house with the following parameters: height - 2.8 m; length - 10 m; width - 8 m.

Based on these data, we calculate the number of vertical racks of the frame of the house. The total length of the walls of the house will be (2x10 m + 2x8 m), that is, the perimeter of the house is 36 meters. Racks for the walls of the house must be placed in 50 cm increments, while it must be borne in mind that at the locations of window openings, the distance between the racks must be at least 1.2 meters.

Thus, for the racks of the frame of the house, approximately 4 m3 of timber with a cross section of at least 100x150 mm will be required. To connect the racks into the frame and the final connection of the wall frames, at least another 3 m3 of such a bar will be required. In total, for the manufacture of the frame of the walls of the house, 7 m3 of timber 100x150 mm will be required.

For sheathing the frame, an edged board is used. The number of edged boards that will be needed for sheathing the walls of the house (length -3 m, thickness -25 mm, width -150 mm,) -4.65 cubic meters meters. At the same time, windows and doors are not taken into account, their size and number depend on the wishes of the developer. Insulation and sound insulation are calculated based on their technical parameters.

Technology for erecting walls of a frame house.

The construction of walls begins with the installation of an insulating substrate, such as roofing material. Roofing material is laid on the surface of the foundation, after which a mortgage bar is laid on it. The timber in the corners is connected to each other "in a paw" - by sawing out half the thickness of the timber at the ends. For rigidity, a dowel is driven into the pre-drilled hole at the joints.

The base of the frame is laid in height equal to the height of the two embedded beams. After laying the embedded beams, a cut is made in the upper beam with a depth of half the beam. In this case, the number of "seats" corresponds to the number of frame racks.

Racks, prepared at a given height, are installed in prepared "seats" (grooves) and secured with temporary jibs. After all the racks are installed, the upper beam is attached on top - the upper ends of the racks are inserted into the grooves cut in advance in the upper beam. The distance between the grooves in the upper beam is the same as in the lower one.

To give rigidity to the structure, the racks are attached using jibs, after which all temporary jibs are removed from the boards.

Longitudinal jumpers from a bar are also fastened with a groove in a groove, and are pulled together with the help of nails with a length of at least 100 mm. After that, you can sheathe the outer wall with edged boards - a solid "shield", leaving only openings for windows and doors, the insulation is laid and everything is sewn up again with boards. The frame walls of the house are ready, you can proceed to the construction of the floor and roof of the house.

Frame house calculator

A frame house calculator is needed to calculate the required amount of materials for construction. There are online calculators in which you need to enter the spacing of the racks, their cross-section, the height of the frame walls, the dimensions of the openings and which give the volumes of the necessary boards. There are more convenient and accurate methods that count every last bit in a 3D model of a frame house made in SketchUp.

For example, let's count the materials in the frame wall, which was used for the example with the drawings of the frame house. First, we need to select all the components that we need to calculate.

Option 1. Built-in frame house calculator function

In the Pro version, in the File drop-down list, select Generate Report ... This function allows you to generate a detailed report with the technical parameters of all components and groups that you need to calculate. It can be a frame wall with a dozen components, or it can be a frame house with several hundred components.

Having selected this task from the list, you will see a selection window that asks what exactly to count: the entire model or only the selected components? In our case, in the selection area there is a wireframe wall. We select Current selection attributes, and then you can choose to upload to HTML or CVS files. For examples, let's choose HTML that can be opened by any Internet browser.

The costing of materials looks like the figure below. All components and groups with technical parameters: material, dimensions, etc. The main problem is that dimensions are counted only in inches. To convert to normal mm, you must use the usual formulas in Excel. The big advantage of this option is that you can count groups, not just components.

Option 2. Calculator frame house plugin CutList

The CutList plugin is not part of the standard SketchUp features. But it can be downloaded and installed for free not only for the Pro version, but also for the regular free version of SketchUp. The plugin does not count groups, only components. But it gives out the dimension in the usual metric system.

Select the frame wall, choose Extensions> CutList from the top menu. A window appears, prompting you to make a cutting by details Layout and / or the calculation of the elements of the frame wall Cutlist. In this case, select only Cutlist.

Calculation of a frame house

How to calculate a frame house. The choice of material. Determination of all components of the frame structure.

To build a reliable house, it is necessary to correctly perform the calculation of a frame house, for a visual understanding of how much the construction will cost. This article will tell you how the correct choice of materials influences the calculation. How the environment affects the calculated performance.

How is the calculation of individual structures of a building, roof and foundation. The correctness of determining the cost of racks and walls of a frame house, insulation, as well as a roof. What are the necessary materials for calculating windows, doors and finishing the structure.

What you need to consider when building a house. The cost of heating and communications.

Today, frame construction is more popular than ever. The fact is that the calculation of the cost of building the same panel house shows: the cost of such a structure will be at least 30% less than the cost of a similar house made of any other material. It is not so difficult to calculate the consumption of lumber, the cost of cladding for a frame house. This will be discussed in the article.

It goes without saying that finished materials for frame construction in the total estimate will occupy the largest share. Their consumption will make up a significant part of the construction budget.

First of all, attention should be paid to the consumption of lumber.

In particular, the following materials will be needed for a panel house:

  • Beam of various sections;
  • Edged board with a cross section of at least 5 centimeters;
  • Edged board with a section of 2 centimeters;
  • Grooved boards with a cross section of 2.5 centimeters.

It is not so easy to calculate the cost of a transverse and post beam: here it is imperative to take into account the size of the future structure (its area), as well as the thermal insulation material that will be used during construction.

Calculation of the roof structure of a panel house, the choice of roofing material will also affect the final cost of construction. However, calculate the number roofing material is not that difficult.

In addition to the products of the woodworking industry, it is necessary to calculate the consumption of materials for the following:

  • foundation;
  • wind protection and vapor barrier;
  • waterproofing and thermal insulation;
  • roof;
  • exterior and interior decoration;

Various utilities such as water supply, electrical wiring, drainage, snow holders, sewage and others.

When calculating the cost of a rack and cross beam, you need to take into account the size of the future house, as well as the type of insulation used.

By the way, the calculation of materials for the structures described above should be performed only after the owner of the house has decided on the material of the boxes of the house and the roof. From them already "dances" and everything else.

Of course, if a person is ready to spend money to create a reserve of safety at home, then the calculations may not be made so scrupulously, but after all, frame houses are erected, most often, precisely because of their cheapness.

Ambient temperature and its influence on the calculation

The heat in the house will also depend on the climatic features of the area where the house is being built. This is a well-known fact. The only moment when the climate can be ignored is if a country house is being built, in which only summer residence is planned.

Here, in order to calculate the amount, you will definitely need a table indicating the coefficients of thermal resistance of various materials, and all the indicators must be calculated separately for the walls of the building and for the roofing cake, otherwise all the heat will simply go through the attic floors and there will be no sense.

Based on such calculations, you can get the final required thickness of the walls and roofing cake, which will be sufficient to retain heat in the house (according to the coefficient of thermal resistance, again).

It is also much easier to make a calculation even if you know in advance all the parameters of the materials (for example, the weight of all structures) that the manufacturer has set.

Usually, after all, frame houses are supplied as house kits, so it will not be difficult to find out all these values (usually all this is indicated in the documents that must be included with the house kit itself).

It is interesting that if a house is built using Canadian technology, from sandwich panels, then materials for its decoration will be required at a minimum. The fact is that in such panels, a heater is already installed in advance, that is, they have a heat-insulating layer.

Most often, manufacturers use mineral wool as an insulating material for sandwich panels. It turns out that the outside of the house will not need to be insulated at all (which means that the cost item for external insulation should be deleted from the estimate, and only the calculation for the internal one should be left).

The calculation of thermal resistance indicators must be carried out separately for the walls of the building and for the roof.
