Switches in electrical engineering are used to shut down and turn on low voltage circuits alternately. Operating principle

Electric switches work as follows. The meaning of their work lies in the echoing of the main contact with one chain to another. Most often, on the reverse side of the switch housing, the wire connections circuit is depicted.

How to design the passage switch?

You can put two cross-switches in the middle of the circuit, three, four .... how much is not a pity. And any switch will change the system status.

It may seem amazing, especially since the long chain of switches is not easy to figure out. But nevertheless, the scheme works! After all, if at no position of the commuting phase, the phase is "lost" - it comes to one of two outlets of each cross-switch, and only the last passage "selects" phase or its absence.

To install in the bedroom or corridor, the switch with IP03 is quite suitable. For bathrooms, the second digit is better to lift up to 4 or 5. And if the switch is installed on the street, the degree of protection should be no lower than IP55.

Contact clamps for electrical conductors on the switch can be:

  • screw with pressure plate and without it;
