When you enter a new code, the old code that was stored behind the remote control device is automatically erased IRC F. If an incorrect code was entered in the setup mode or the 10-second interval is over, the old code is saved automatically.

Entering an additional code.

If the remote control IRC F approached several of your devices and, for example, when in the case of device control SAT You need to adjust the volume of the TV and you do not want to change the device of the remote control every time. SAT on TV and vice versa, you can use an additional code. It allows end-to-end control of four functions AV, MUTE, VOL +, VOL- other device. The following assumes that you know the required codes.

Always after changing the frequency, you should check the remote control on the device to choose the best option. You can adjust the IR signal from both the main and additional remote control codes IRC F.

How to set up a universal remote remote control? When you buy a universal remote control, the seller explains to you how to set it up for your TV or DVD player model. If they did not explain to you for some reason, or you bought the remote control in an online store, or once they explained to you how to set up a universal remote control, but over time you forgot all this, then read this article.

I will say right away that there are quite a few universal consoles, all sorts of different modifications and configurations that differ from each other, that is, let's say there are a hundred pieces of consoles, and they are all called universal, but they look differently in appearance and are also configured differently. Now I will describe some of the most common ways to set up a universal remote.

Method one: If there are inscriptions on the buttons of the universal remote control: Samsung, LG, Sony, Daewoo and so on and if the name of your TV is written on the button of the universal remote, then you can try to configure the TV with a quick setting, for this you need to turn on the device to which you will configure the universal the remote control if another device is turned on nearby, such as a dvd player, then it must be turned off to avoid interference. Your TV is turned on, you point the universal remote control at the TV and press the button on the remote control corresponding to your brand of TV and hold the button pressed for several minutes until something happens, for example, the TV should turn off at this moment, release the button immediately or a volume sign will appear on the screen after you need to release the button, the whole TV should be tuned.

Method two: When buying a universal remote control, the box should contain a small book or a piece of paper folded several times, it contains instructions for setting up a universal remote control and many more different numbers. Let's dwell on the numbers. The numbers written in the book are codes for setting up the remote control. As a rule, a universal remote control has a small indicator light that informs about the status of the remote control. If you are already ready to start setting up the remote control, then open the code book, find the codes you need, for example, the codes for the TV are signed on top of "CODE LIST FOR TV" if you need a code for the TV, look for the brand of your TV in this list, opposite your brand the TV will already have written codes for your TV, there are many codes for each brand, several codes, but you only need to enter one code into the remote control, it often consists of four digits. Then, when you find the code for your TV, turn on the TV, direct your universal remote control to the TV, press the "SET" button and the (on / off) button of the TV at the same time, the light should light up, then dial the code for your TV on the remote control, the light should go out. The entire console is configured. If the code did not fit which you entered first, then you can try to enter another code in the same sequence.

Note: if your universal remote control does not have a button with the name "SET", then most likely you have a multifunctional remote control and is configured for a TV, dvd player, satellite dish and so on. In this case, you must simultaneously press another button instead of the "SET" button. For example, if you are setting up the remote control for a TV, then simultaneously press the "TV" button and the (on / off) TV button, then the indicator light should light up and you enter the code as described in the second method for setting up the universal remote control.

Not so long ago, people could only dream of a remote control that would allow the viewer to truly relax, without getting up from the warm couch every time to change channels, adjust the volume or turn off the TV. In our time, a new problem has arisen. The modern owner of a video and audio system becomes hostage to competition between different manufacturers who use special codes in wireless systems that differ from others. Because of this, even a universal remote, if not trained, cannot control competitive components.

So what is UPDU?

A universal remote control is a type of remote control that can be used to control several household devices at once. This product is purchased separately at different prices depending on its functionality. It is best to buy an UPDU with a touchscreen LCD display, which is much easier to operate than an information one. So we have already pleased ourselves by buying such an interesting thing, but how to set up a universal remote control?

Instructions:

  1. There is a battery compartment on the remote control, remove the cover from it and insert the batteries, observing the polarity. You will most likely need two AAA elements. You need to connect the equipment that you plan to control through the universal remote control into the power grid.
  2. To find out how to set up the remote control, you should familiarize yourself with its instructions in more detail and find out which companies it is suitable for. For the English version, see the section titled Brand. Write down the codes of the companies you need.

You have the choice to configure the remote control manually or automatically.

Manual configuration

  • Turn on the device you want to control with the remote control.
  • Now you need to simultaneously press two buttons: SET and TV (AUX, DVD, if these buttons correspond to the required technique).
  • The LED on the console should light up, then find the three-character code that matches the brand.
  • Enter the numbers in order.
  • Follow the algorithm correctly, then the setting will end and the indicator will turn off.

Automatic tuning

Now let's talk about how to set up the remote control for TV and other equipment automatically. As with manual tuning, first turn on your microwave, air conditioner, stereo, etc. Any channel must be on on your TV, and a disc must be inserted in the stereo and DVD player.

  • Aim the universal remote control at the selected equipment and press two buttons: SET, holding it for a while and the command button of the device.
  • At this time, the POWER key should light up to confirm that the console is configured.

Of course, the ideal option is when the universal remote is set up by the service master. But, you can do it yourself if you have even the slightest English skills. Read the instructions and follow all the steps in sequence!

We can conclude that universal remote controls are a great invention that allows you to remove a large number of different remotes from the coffee table. They are suitable for absolutely any technique that is in your home, but only after the appropriate adjustment.

When using a digital set-top box, whether it is a terrestrial DVB-T2 receiver, a digital satellite or cable receiver, the same problem arises: you have to use two remotes at the same time: from a TV and a digital device. Given the large and growing demand for digital set-top boxes, HUAYU has developed a dedicated remote controller that can be easily configured for use with almost any TV and DVB-T2 digital set-top box.

Perhaps this model of remote control is not the only one on the market, but it is the most popular and is sold in most specialty stores that sell antenna equipment. This remote control codes are programmed for the vast majority of TV models and digital set-top boxes. The remote control is not trainable, that is, it does not require a donor remote control for configuration. If the original remote control from the console is broken or lost, then instead of the original remote control, it makes sense to purchase just such a universal remote control.

The HUAYU remote has all the standard buttons for full control of the digital set-top box and four buttons for controlling the TV: on / off, video input switching and volume control. Please note that some CRT TV models are not the power button, but the channel buttons. In this case, the universal remote will not be able to turn on the TV.

Setting up the DVB-T2 + TV remote control

This universal remote requires configuration before use. The setup instructions are attached to the console, but just in case we will duplicate the main points of the process here. Setting up the remote control to work with the TV takes place in automatic mode by enumerating the codes from different TVs. To do this, press and hold for 6 seconds the red TV power button on the universal remote control. The remote control starts sending a command to increase the volume from different TV models to the TV, and after you find that the volume on the TV has started to increase, release the red button. Then you should make sure that the TV is controlled correctly and that all 4 buttons are working. Otherwise, the setup procedure should be repeated. Setting up the remote to work with a TV can take a long time (up to 20 minutes), so you should be patient, point the remote at the TV sensor and do not release the red button until the setup is complete.

There are two ways to set up the remote control to work with the set-top box: automatic and manual. The first method is similar to setting up the remote control to work with a TV. The only difference is that you need to hold down the green button. The setting ends when the volume on the set-top box starts to increase and a characteristic scale for indicating the volume level appears on the screen. You can also configure the remote manually by pressing and holding the green button and then the button corresponding to your set-top box. The remote comes with an insert listing some of the compatible receiver models. If you did not find your console model in the instructions from the remote control, this does not mean that the remote control will not work. The remote control fits 99% of set-top boxes, but their variety does not allow listing all models in the manual.

If you buy a set-top box as a gift to someone who is elderly or far from technology, we recommend that you immediately purchase such a remote control along with the set-top box. Believe me, older people who are accustomed to using one remote can experience serious stress when mastering a new device and using two remotes at the same time can greatly confuse a novice digital TV user.

Replaces the THOMSON RCT100 remote control. for TVs on TX807 chassis (code 160).

The remote control comes in a transparent plastic package:

This is exactly 2 version - DVB-T2 + 2 .
And just below the note (in translation):

“For remotes that have been damaged, lost or out of order.
The best choice".

Below is the inscription (translated): "Quality creates the future."

At the back is a general description, Manual entry of a specific code and Automatic code search:

Outwardly, the remote control is absolutely standard, medium-sized, like in many consoles:

Dimensions 151 x 43 mm.

The presence of the indicator immediately attracts attention here (it blinks when any keys are pressed):

And I also pay attention to the inscription at the very bottom:

those. this is exactly 2 version of the universal remote control - DVB-T2 + 2 .

Standard Convenient Finger Recess:

A short instruction is squeezed out on the back of the remote control (in English):

those. even if you lose the packaging and instructions, there will always be a hint - on the remote control itself.

And also there is the HUAYU corporate logo:

AAA batteries are of course not included.

If you look inside, we will see a printed circuit board with the inscription HY-P61258L:

and the same from the side of the printed conductors:

The board has a proprietary microcircuit Hy8P1601L, about which there is no information on the Internet:

The measured current consumption of the remote control at the moment of pressing and holding is 25.5 mA.

The set includes a large color double-sided A4 stretched out on two sheets of instruction manual for the universal remote control of the DVB-T2 + 2 standard with photos of the corresponding remotes:

The first sheet contains a description of programming - in English and in Russian:

It's actually pretty simple:

i.e., for example, for the D-Color DC711HD remote control, simultaneously press the red POWER button and the 0 - the indicator will blink 2 times.
That's it: we got a remote control for D-Color DC711HD, 901, 1001, 1010.

We will consider similar combinations in detail below, but there is still Automatic code search- to do this, press and hold the red POWER button and simultaneously look at the screen, waiting for the Volume scale to appear, for example:

if the scale appears, release the red POWER button.

Then check the functionality of the other buttons.

And if you see that the channels are not switching and the volume is not adjustable, then you need to press and hold the red POWER button again and simultaneously look at the screen, waiting for the Volume scale to appear.

Note that the search of the entire database goes in a circle and takes about 1.5 minutes. Therefore, if the Loudness scale does not appear after 1.5 minutes, it means that your set-top box has some kind of code.

For example, I tried to find a code for old models of Elect prefixes (2013) and even the Volume scale appeared, but all the same all the buttons were confused, i.e. there is no code for old Elect in this remote control.

Typically, the PAGE + and PAGE- buttons perform the function of switching channels.

A universal remote control may be needed not only due to the loss or damage of the original remote control, but also for ergonomic reasons: it is no secret that some manufacturers over the past year, trying to reduce the cost even more, began to complete set-top boxes with small-sized consoles, and sometimes even completely small and just uncomfortable. All this is felt only in the course of daily use of the console.

In addition, the original remote control often costs at least 200 rubles (or even more), while this remote control costs only.

In addition, sometimes a situation arises when people recklessly try to flash their set-top boxes with someone else's firmware, and at the same time lose control of their set-top box.
And with a universal remote control, you can not be afraid of losing control by selecting the remote control code of someone else's set-top box.
Therefore, if you have flashed with someone else's firmware, it is not at all necessary to take the set-top box for repair, sometimes it is easier and cheaper to buy a universal remote control, which will come in handy anyway.

Along the way, I note that you should not try to flash the set-top box with someone else's firmware in order to get support for the AC-3 (Dolby Digital) audio codec.

It makes sense to flash someone else's firmware if it eliminates the errors present in the native firmware. For example, if your model does not show the clock in standby mode, but a similar model (the same tuner / demodulator / processor) has a clock.
As the saying goes: "If the mountain does not go to Mohammed, then Mohammed goes to the mountain." If the manufacturer does not want to fix the firmware, then the buyer can try to fix it himself with someone else's firmware and, of course, control only the universal remote control.

Technically, consoles for set-top boxes use the regular NEC, extended protocol. When the button is pressed, the address of the remote control and the command code of the button are transmitted. Most set-top boxes have a remote control address FE01 or FF00, but of course the button codes are different, so the remotes rarely coincide and for each set-top box you only have to search for its remote control.

You can clearly see all this, for example, using the program and connected to the computer's sound card, for example:

Database of universal remote control DVB-T2 + 2 consists of 16 sets of codes.

And since There are a lot of prefixes in each of the sets, then, unlike the original remote control, the universal one sends an address / command sequence to 5 remotes at once.

And as you can see, the largest set (one might say basic) is zero:

And also with many unnamed Chinese prefixes. And of course it's better to use Autosearch.

Many sets use similar codes, so the main functions work both there and there, and the only differences will be in the functionality of additional buttons.

Of course, in some cases, the match is not 100%, but 90% of the buttons correspond to the original remote. And it will certainly provide the minimum required management functionality.

Regarding bouncing off the walls and at different angles, I will immediately note that if the original remote control worked in a narrow range of angles, then the universal remote control will work in the same way, because the reason is the location of the photodetector in the attachment and the type of translucent plastic of the front panel window.

If initially there were problems, then it is advisable to gently press the photodetector in the receiver closer to the front panel (pressing it tightly).
Some even drill a hole in front of the photodetector, then cover it with red tape, or even remove the front panel.
Because, unfortunately, not all manufacturers care about the width of the remote control signal and are limited to the standard ± 30 °:
But I repeat, often this area is not provided due to the wrongly chosen plastic (plexiglass) for the IR window or the deep location of the photodetector.

In the instructions, the operating range of the remote control is about 10 m. As far as the room allowed, I checked it at 8 m - it works.

Positive: standard average size, easy setup, large set of codes, automatic search, colorful setup instructions, work indicator, the price is lower than that of the original remotes.

And as you can see here, the codes are not just group codes, but more individual ones - 70 options.
