How to make a shaft for a circular saw from a pipe. Do-it-yourself circular saw - it's real! Manufacturing of a stationary device

If a person lives in a private house or has country garden plot, then the presence of a stationary circular saw in the arsenal home handyman not only desirable, but sometimes necessary. Unfortunately, the cost of an industrially manufactured sample of such a saw does not correspond to its frequency. home use, and for some Russians it’s simply not affordable. At the same time, making a “circular” with your own hands is quite simple, using a drive for this sewing machine or a regular electric drill. However, the quality of work performed and the range of operations performed largely depend on the bed of the circular saw.

Bed design

The simplest circular saw frame, the drive power of which does not exceed 0.8...12 kilowatts, is quite easy to make with your own hands from thick plywood and wooden blocks. For the drive, you can use an electric drill “BOSCH GSB 19-2” (power 0.85 kilowatts) or “DWT SBM-1050” (power 1.05 kilowatts), which is attached to under the stove using a special bracket. The length of the bed will depend on the length of the material being cut. For the table, you must purchase bakelite plywood with a thickness of at least 50.0 millimeters. Of course for professional work a wooden bed will not work, but in order to loosen the boards, quickly saw the bars like this homemade design quite enough.

In general, the bed will consist of a base and a tabletop (desktop). Of course, with manual self-production When using a circular saw, one should strive to simplify the design as much as possible. The design of the work table will primarily be determined by the design of the cutting blade mounting unit. Homemade circular devices use either a circular disk mounted directly in the chuck of an electric drill, or (more preferably) a two-support shaft driven into rotation by an electric motor through a belt drive.

Making a countertop

At the first stage of manufacturing the frame with wooden table top With your own hands, the existing sheet of plywood is placed in accordance with the existing sketch or drawing. In order to reduce the number of cuts, markings are carried out from the edges of the sheet. The tool used is a fine-toothed hacksaw or a jigsaw.

A slot for the disk is marked on the underside of the sawn piece. The cut can be made finger cutter, securing it with your own hands in the chuck of an electric drill. In order to maintain the straightness of the edges of the cut, the simplest one is attached to the tabletop with clamps. homemade copier from two metal corners.
Further work depends on the mechanism for attaching the circular saw blade. Most simply it manually installed on two bearing supports, and driven through a belt drive from a separate electric motor or from an electric drill.

To add additional rigidity to the tabletop, it is advisable to attach stiffening ribs along its edges, which can be made from bars or aluminum corners. The stiffeners are fastened to the table using self-tapping screws. To give greater strength to the entire structure, an additional layer of epoxy glue can be applied to the joint, which will fix the block to the tabletop along the entire plane of the joint.
The distance from the edge of the tabletop to the block should be 2.0...4.0 centimeters.

After this, in accordance with the selected drive design, the support unit is attached circular disk. For reliable fastening, it is better to fix the bearing housings to the frame using a screw, threaded connection. Wherein countersunk heads screws are located on the top plane of the tabletop and should not protrude above its plane. Upper work surface The desktop should be coated with wear-resistant varnish and polished.

For greater safety when working with a homemade device, it is advisable to install a swinging protective cover over the cutting edge of the disk.

Base design

For safe work homemade circular saw, the table must be installed on a sufficiently rigid and solid foundation. To make it manually, the imagination of the master is left to absolute freedom. The base can be made in the form of a wooden base, but it is better to weld it from a corner (such as an aquarium frame) in accordance with the size of the tabletop.

Some manufacturing nuances

The main parameter that determines the design of a homemade “circular saw” is the thickness of the boards being cut. For household work You usually don’t need to cut wood thicker than 15.0…20.0 millimeters with your own hands. To change the depth of the cut, you can use and/or make a special mechanism for lifting the disk, but this will significantly complicate the design of the homemade product.

When choosing a drive motor, the rotation speed of its shaft should be taken into account. Using a belt drive, you can change the speed with your own hands. If you intend to use an electric drill as a drive, then preference should be given to models with variable chuck rotation speed, then using such a hand-made circular saw will be a pleasure.

Conclusion

Despite the primitiveness of the described design, it will significantly facilitate do-it-yourself homework, from carpentry operations with boards to cross-cutting of trimmed garden trees thick knots.

Every economic person takes care of his home and its condition. There are many things that can come in handy during a renovation, but it is usually difficult to say in advance how much the whole project might cost. Building a new house or renovating it using wood gives excellent results. But to get it you need to try hard and spend a lot of effort. If you build a house only with the help of wood, nails and a saw with a plane, then the process will be very protracted and difficult, since such work is too heavy for one or even several people. To solve this problem, they came up with a circular machine. This is what we will talk about in our article today.

What it is?

A circular saw (including a jointer) is a hand-held circular saw built into a table. Such a part performs many functions and is unique of its kind, as it can cut out various shapes along the contours. If you have a similar device in your house, it will greatly simplify the construction of any structure, because this device is more convenient than a saw, it is more suitable for making smooth changes and cuts than a chainsaw. The material can be processed at any chosen angle; this is not difficult compared to the above tools.

The machine can be used to change the shape of all materials based on wood. Its functions can be expanded if you make a circular saw with your own hands at home. But this will be written about later. Making such a tool yourself is not so difficult; in some cases you can rely on intuition.

What is needed for production?

To create a machine at home, you don’t need as much as it might seem at first glance: just a saw and a table to secure it. These are the most basic components that will play their role in the future. But you can also add some elements, and this depends entirely on the wishes of the owner, who creates, for example, a circular machine with a plane on his own.

IN simple version The saw must be attached to the table surface. Moreover, each master chooses the angle relative to the surface himself. The ease of use and quality of all subsequent products made using the machine will depend on this. In order for such an element to serve for a long time, it is necessary to make the correct fastening.

Wooden saw machine

Now let's talk about how to make a wooden circular saw using a saw.

As mentioned above, the main components are the saw itself and the table for attaching it. In addition, we will need:

  • a sheet of plywood or other board to cover the table;
  • wooden blocks for legs;
  • universal glue, you can’t live without it;
  • self-tapping screws and bolts with nuts.

All of the above points are necessary if there is no ready-made table and you need to make it yourself. This option is the most practical, since you need to take into account that the machine is not created for one time or for a year. Therefore, it is better to do everything yourself, check the quality of all parts and fasteners.

Making a circular saw - making a table

To create the surface of the apparatus, it is necessary to cut a piece measuring sixty by one hundred centimeters from a sheet of plywood or other material. This is the most important preparation. Along the edges of it, bars for the legs are attached, first with glue, and then with self-tapping screws and nuts.

A special hole is cut for the future saw, which is done using initial modeling and drawing out the necessary holes. After this, a jigsaw will come in handy to carefully cut the hole. This is a relatively fine work, so at this stage it is better not to make mistakes. When working, it is necessary to take into account the presence cutting discs. Without them, the machine will not be able to fulfill its purpose.

Now they mark out places for the beams-legs, because the machine must be attached to something. Their length is selected individually, taking into account the height of the master, although, of course, there are standard sizes, and they range from 80 to 90 centimeters. If the height is chosen incorrectly, the master will have to bend over too much, this will significantly slow down the work, since over time his back may hurt.

Exterior finishing

In the final stages, when work on the machine table is being completed, it is necessary to remember appearance store-bought piece of furniture. In this case, no bolts protrude from its surface: they are not visible, since they are specially hidden and well secured. Making a table at home should not be of less quality, rather the opposite.

Comparison of the first and second stages of work: making a table and frame for a complete equipment

Another important stage, because the productivity of construction or repair, the quality and speed of cutting wood will depend on the quality of the work performed. The previous actions were just as significant only if the necessary product of production was a machine tool, and not just a sawing bed. Further safety, as well as ease of work, depended on the quality of the base.

If you think about which part can be considered more important in a machine, then you need to take into account that the machine itself is a solid machine that cannot be divided. In this case, both the bed and the base are equally important. As was said above: the base is responsible for convenience and safety, but the frame also takes on some of the responsibilities, since a lot will depend on the quality of the wiring - the entire apparatus will flare up at the slightest spark, or this will not happen.

From this we can conclude: when making a circular saw with your own hands, it is necessary to treat both stages of the scheme of working on the device with equal importance, since a lot really depends on them:

  • the table acts as a fastener, it must be of high quality and withstand heavy loads, because during operation it will have to regularly carry various weights, and at the same time it is necessary to maintain the stability of the entire structure;
  • the frame is mounted on a table or base, depending on the quality of workmanship this stage work, the speed of repairs and all progress in cutting the tree will depend; Also, wiring safety should be a top priority.

How to make a metal frame?

The bed, as noted above, is an important part of the machine, so you will have to devote a lot of time and diligence in order to achieve the desired result: extend the service life of the tool and protect your work time. Since the frame will be made of metal, it should be noted that this will require more time and effort than in the case of the base, where it was necessary to check the quality and strength of the wooden table.

What will be needed to make the bed?

The original one important detail will be a sheet of metal (preferably steel), measuring 1000 by 500 mm and a thickness of 3 to 5 millimeters. In addition, you will need:

  • metal corner, approximately 45 by 45 millimeters;
  • bolts and nuts with M8 thread;
  • welding machine;
  • Bulgarian;
  • drill;
  • clamp.

To make a saw, you need to return to the base, namely the table. It needs to be reinforced with a metal sheet, this will protect you from many problems during work. All this attachment occurs with inside, and then you need to cut suitable holes on the surface. The slots are made in the shape of a puzzle, this will help to complete the job accurately. What needs to be done for this will be described below.

How to carefully cut a hole on a metal sheet?

Of course, accuracy does not affect the operation of the machine, but you want everything to be perfect, otherwise there is a feeling of failure, inferiority, and sometimes the desire to work disappears.

Accuracy will ensure the right start. For everything to go well, you need to trace the outline of the puzzle, the place where the hole is formed. A 10 mm hole is drilled inside, this point is the beginning, from this moment, carefully using a special tool, they begin to cut out the puzzle along the contour. If your hands don’t tremble and everything is done with utmost care, then the work will turn out great.

In order to ensure high-quality fastening table, you need to cut out four legs, 80 to 90 cm long. They are firmly welded to the surface. And in order to ensure high-quality and strong fastening, it is necessary to use the same corner at a distance of 10 centimeters from the table surface.

How to make a circular?

If you don’t have a special saw, and you need a powerful machine for the job, you can make a small stationary circular saw for your home. Such equipment, manufactured at a factory, is very expensive. A machine made by yourself will cost tens of times less. In order to create such a device, we need the following:

  • steel sheet with a thickness of 3 to 5 mm, approximately 1200x700 mm in size;
  • metal corner with a cross section of 50x50 millimeters;
  • 220 Volt asynchronous motor;
  • pulley for motor;
  • shaft with bearings;
  • V-belt;
  • saw blade:
  • M10 threaded bolts;
  • clamps;
  • Bulgarian;
  • drill;
  • welding machine.

How to make a circular saw? First you need to purchase a shaft with bearings and a disk mount. You can buy it at a building materials store or order it from specialized workshops (they often have ready-made products that are cheaper than in the store).

Now you can cook the frame from the prepared corner. After this, it is installed on the corner. Next, the shaft and electric motor for the future saw are placed on the circular machine. After this, to continue manufacturing this part, two corners are welded into the frame, but with the flat sides facing up. This is necessary in order to mount the saw shaft and motor. The prepared frame is attached to the sheet and welded. Next, a hole for the disk is cut out in the sheet. At pre-selected locations, holes up to 10 millimeters are drilled for mounting the shaft and motor. At this point, our homemade circular machine will be completely ready for work. At the end of assembly, just tighten a special belt.

Conclusion

From all of the above, we can conclude that you can make a circular saw with your own hands with high quality and cheap. And this option is more preferable than buying in a store, since there is more better quality, the higher the price of the device. When making your own, you need to pay equal attention to the base and cutting tool. Circular saws for wood can create real miracles in the hands of a master.

– necessary and useful tool in the home craftsman's arsenal. It is especially necessary for those who work a lot with wood. To make a circular saw on your own, it is enough to have great desire, necessary tools and know how to work with metal.

Serious tool

A circular saw, built with your own hands, can be a stationary or tabletop model. At their core, they are one and the same. The devices differ only in the height of the frame. What height to choose will depend on the intensity of use of the workplace. If the saw is rarely used, it can be done in desktop version. If necessary, the structure can be disassembled and free up space in the workshop for other work. If a craftsman constantly works with wood, then a stationary circular saw is more suitable for him.

The stationary structure consists of several main components: a table, a gear disk, a motor, an adjustable side stop and a shaft.

To make it you will need:

  1. Sheet of metal with a thickness of at least 8 mm.
  2. Metal corner 45x45 mm.
  3. Electric motor.
  4. Metal disc with teeth (diameter 400 mm).
  5. Ball bearings.
  6. Welding machine.
  7. Wooden block.
  8. A piece of plastic or laminate.

Making a circular saw with your own hands will be much easier if you first draw up a drawing of the future design and indicate everything required dimensions. All parts are manufactured in accordance with the drawing and then assembled into a frame using a welding machine.

Assembly of a stationary structure

The main part of the saw is the table. The tabletop must be made of sheet metal. Its dimensions depend on the preferences of the master. The main thing is that the circular saw with your own hands is stable and comfortable to work with. If required extra bed to install other devices, the surface can be covered with a sheet of thick plywood (Fig. 1).

Particular attention must be paid to the height of the guide. It is most convenient when the guide protrudes above the table by 120 mm. Experience shows that with this arrangement it becomes possible to process boards not only in width, but also in thickness.

Figure 1: A sheet of thick plywood is ideal for covering the surface of the countertop to accommodate additional accessories.

To make a guide for a circular saw you will need 2 pieces metal corner and a clamp that is welded to them. The metal part is deliberately made from two parts of the angle. The solid angle will guide you when the saw is working. You need to screw a wooden block to the corners using bolts and self-tapping screws, and attach a piece of plastic or laminate 120 mm wide to it. The length of the laminate piece should match the length of the table. This part should be set at an angle of 90° relative to the tabletop (Fig. 2).

A DIY circular saw should be height adjustable. In some designs, the table can be adjusted, but it is more convenient for work when you can raise and lower the saw itself.

A single platform is required to install the motor and shaft. It should be installed on one axis in the form of a rocker arm. It is fixed with a piece of bolt with a diameter of 15 mm, which is welded to it. On the side of the saw you need to weld a metal plate in which you first make a hole. Its shape should be oblong along the direction of the rocker. A bolt will pass through it, onto which a wing with handles should be screwed. The saw clamp is ready. If there is a need to adjust the height, the wing is unscrewed, the saw is aligned with the ruler and the wing is screwed back on. When using a disk with a diameter of 400 mm, you can process boards up to 240 mm wide (Fig. 3).

Make other options

A do-it-yourself circular saw can be made manually. The easiest way to make it is from a grinder, making some improvements to its design. On the grinder you need to install an axial handle and a sliding stop.

To make a sliding stop, 2 pieces of corner will be needed. They are located on the sides of a disk with teeth, which replaces abrasive wheel. The corners are attached with a gap of 3-4 mm. They are connected at the front and rear with bolts and nuts. To obtain clearance, washers must be used. The bottom edge of the corners should be rounded. Thanks to this, they will not cling to the objects being processed.

A do-it-yourself circular saw made from an angle grinder is equipped with a sliding stop. A clamp is attached to the body. It is made from metal tape. Its screed should be located at the bottom. A galvanized strip with a thickness of at least 1-1.5 mm is attached to the tape, on which a hole must first be made for the sliding stop bolt. Using washers, gaps are established between the working part and the side parts of the stop. The gaps must be the same size.

An axial handle is attached to the gearbox housing. To do this, the gearbox is disassembled so that you can determine at which points to make 4 holes for small bolts. The handle is made from a piece of pipe or rod and should have the shape of a staple. Its width is slightly wider than the master’s palm. At the ends with which it will be attached to the gearbox, it is necessary to drill holes for the bolts. It is not worth flaring the ends of the tube so that the handle does not bend during operation.

A piece of rod or tube protruding forward should be secured under the handle. Flare the end of the tube and make a hole for the axle 4-6 mm thick. The hole should be 4 mm larger. To make it convenient to work, a gap of at least 100-150 mm is left between the rod and the handle.

Figure 3. Diagram of a disk for a circular saw.

The next stage is the manufacture of the adjusting rod. To do this, you will need a piece of rod with a diameter of 4-6 mm. The end of the pipe is bent in the shape of a loop and slightly flared. Using washers at the front end of the stop, the same gap is established along the entire length.

The part of the rod that will fit into the hole on the handle must be threaded. Before inserting the rod, screw the nut onto it. The other nut is screwed on after assembly. The nuts will provide adjustment of the cutting depth. If necessary, they need to be released or tightened.

A homemade circular saw is a kind of handy tool that can cope with a number of construction tasks in domestic conditions. In principle, it won’t be difficult to make a circular saw yourself even if you don’t have any special skills, the main thing is to have at least a little idea about working with metal. Required material You can usually find it in a garage or home workshop, and a steel corner will do here, profile pipe rectangular section and engine. The assembled circular saw can be placed on an existing workbench, or, in the absence of one, you will have to build a table for the circular saw with your own hands. As for the motor, you can use a unit from an old washing machine or walk-behind tractor, but first things first.

Manual device from an angle grinder

If you have a grinder on your farm, then you won’t find a better device for a hand-held circular saw. Don't know how to make a mini circular saw at home from such a popular tool? Don’t despair, because its manufacture only involves providing a sliding stop and an axial handle to an existing unit. The sliding stop includes in its design two pieces of metal corner of a small cross-section, located on both sides of the saw blade. Using bolts and nuts, the corners are connected from the front and back sides with a transverse ligament, and the technological gap between the sidewalls of the thrust structure and the working element will be provided with washers.

It is necessary to put a metal band clamp on the grinder so that its screw tie is located at the bottom, and a strip of galvanized metal with a hole for a sliding stop, folded in half, is fixed to it. In principle, a special clamp with a stand can be made as a single unit, but in this case the thickness of the metal strip will ideally be at least one and a half millimeters. Next, you will have to make a couple of holes for bolts in the gearbox housing of the future circular saw, for which it is disassembled and the drilling points are determined. Through the holes made, an axial handle for a circular saw assembled from a grinder is attached, since the existing handle will not allow for high-quality cuts, even if the master has remarkable physical strength.

The axial handle, which will be equipped with a grinder grinder, is made of a metal rod or tube. The shape of the design can be a transverse bracket or a kind of horn. The ends of the metal part with which the handle is attached to the gearbox are equipped with holes for fasteners. There's one here important point: the ends cannot be riveted to prevent the handle from bending during the operation of a circular saw assembled with your own hands. It is also necessary to make an adjusting rod from a piece of metal rod (4 - 6 mm), for which we bend one end into a loop, rivet it a little and form a hole for the front stop bolt. As usual, we adjust the uniformity of the gap with washers.

At the other end of the rod, a thread is cut, thanks to which it is connected to the handle. First, one nut is screwed onto the thread, and after assembling the structure, a second one is screwed. By tightening and lowering the nuts of this device for a homemade hand-held circular saw, the depth of cut is adjusted. This is how you can convert an angle grinder at home into a full-fledged disk tool designed for cutting various materials. By the way, by remaking a circular saw from a drill, you can achieve a similar result.

Mini table saw

The mobility of the element is achieved by sawing the horizontal segment into two equal parts, which after installation are fastened with clamps. It is fixed to the vertical part of the frame with a clamp Circular Saw. An assembled hand-held circular saw table can function as a cutting machine if a standard cutting disc is installed on the grinder. It is worth noting that the through cut here will not exceed 80 mm, and to process larger lumber you will need a more serious homemade circular saw, which will be discussed further.

Stationary machine

A circular saw, as close as possible to the factory models, requires a competent approach to assembly, so before making a circular saw stationary type, you need to think through everything down to the smallest detail. In principle, a tabletop mini circular saw differs from a stationary one in the height of the frame, which directly depends on the nature of the work performed and the dimensions of the workpieces that the device will process. One-time work can be carried out on a compact table saw, while a circular saw from a hand-held circular saw can be easily hidden in a shed or closet, and a carpenter who constantly manipulates lumber will need a stationary homemade circular saw. Below is a diagram that details all the elements and accessories for a circular saw of this type.

As can be seen from the picture, homemade circulars of this type have a clear design, and drawings like the one presented above greatly facilitate the process of their assembly. Before making a circular and also mounting circular table with our own hands, we will consider each part of the unit separately in order to know all the intricacies of its operation and installation.

Circular table

A table for a hand-held circular saw with a slot in the center is sometimes converted from an ordinary kitchen table or assembled from beams or metal profiles. Experts strongly recommend covering a table for a circular saw with a sheet of galvanized metal, since without a coating the base is at risk of abrasion in the center from constant friction of the lumber, which in turn will negatively affect the quality of the cut, and the depth of the cut will be uneven. Cross links that strengthen sawing table, it is better to make it from a steel angle 60 - 80 mm with a horizontal segment outward in order to simplify the installation of the side limiter. The homemade table on which the circular saw will be installed must be strong and stable, and it must also be securely fixed in a stationary position.

Saw blade

The toothed disk should rise above the surface of the table of the circular saw by a maximum of a third of its diameter, otherwise it will not cut the tree properly, and the process itself will become dangerous. If you need to cut a beam with a diameter of, for example, 100 mm, the same parameter of the cutter should not exceed 350 mm, however, a motor with a power of 1 kW will also be required. For workpieces with a diameter of over 150 mm, a mini circular saw made by hand is unlikely to be suitable. At some factory circular machines a riving knife is provided, which is installed behind the disk at a distance of 2 - 3 mm from the saw teeth. It eliminates the jamming moment due to the closure of parts of the sawn workpiece, so it can also be very useful in the case when a homemade circular saw is assembled.

Adjustable side support

It is possible to install a high-quality stop from a steel angle with a cross-section of about 80 mm, which is 3–4 cm longer than the table structure. The flat sides of the corner are bent down so that their width is one and a half cm greater than the thickness of the table. After installation, the stop is fixed on homemade table circulars in a given position using bolts. This element is adjusted according to a template placed between it and the cutter.

Shaft

The shaft installed on the circular saw is the most critical component, so its turning and testing together with the disk should be carried out exclusively by a specialist using special equipment. A pipe product with a carelessly fixed circle is immediately excluded, because the slightest errors in the operation of this element will result in major troubles such as equipment breakdown, damage to the workpiece and injury to the operator. The optimal solution will be purchasing a ready-made shaft with a seat for the cutter. It is better to give preference to self-aligning ball bearings that have a curved shape inner surface, otherwise the assembly made by yourself will quickly collapse and the shaft mounted on a homemade circular will become unusable.

Broadcast

In our case ideal option will V-belt drive, but it is better to abandon the rigid gear mechanism, since such a homemade product does not guarantee safety. If a nail suddenly gets caught in the lumber, the motor rotor will cause the disc to fracture, which can lead to injury. If the inner diameter of the belt drive pulleys is small, then slippage will be ensured, and the tensioned belt will serve as a kind of damper. The gear ratio is usually selected based on engine speed, always taking into account the permissible number of disk revolutions. How smaller diameter saw wheel, the higher its rotation frequency can be, and the cleaner the converted unit will cut.

Motor

Among homemade devices The most popular is a circular machine assembled from an engine from washing machine.This choice is explained by the fact that the scheme of its operation the best way suitable for such purposes. Unlike the commutator units that are usually supplied with power tools, the motor from a washing machine operates at lower speeds, which means that it lasts longer, has increased efficiency and is not as susceptible to various kinds clogs. You can also use a three-phase motor, but then additional costs will be required for the purchase of a starting and operating capacitor, so it is more economical to make do with a device from a washing machine. That, in general, is all the wisdom.

Reading time ≈ 4 minutes

A circular saw is used to cut wood and plastic. Its cutting base is a flat metal disc with a serrated outer edge. When choosing such a tool, everyone decides for themselves what type they need: tabletop, manual, stationary. Many people prefer the manual option. However, in some situations it is necessary to secure the saw. In this case, you can make a table for a circular saw with your own hands, having the opportunity to secure the tool if necessary.

Preparation of tools and materials

Having decided to make a table for a hand-held circular saw yourself, you need to make sure that you have all the materials necessary for the work:

  • laminated plywood (9 or 11 mm), size 800 mm by 800 mm;
  • 16 mm laminated chipboard or other sheet material suitable for making the body, sheet size 400 by 784 mm - 4 pieces;
  • bars 40 by 40 mm (length depends on installation method);
  • self-tapping screws;
  • bolts.

Any hand-held circular saw will work for this table. It must be remembered that when attached to a table, the cutting depth decreases by 10-20 mm. So saws with small blades are not suitable for such a table.

Step-by-step instructions for assembling a table for a circular saw

1. Manufacturing of the body. Sheet material for the case it is cut to size: 400 mm by 800 mm. The parts are fastened using self-tapping screws and bars. It is better to carry out the assembly by first drilling out the external parts of the box. The result is a rectangular box without a bottom or lid. The upper part of the bars is subsequently used to secure the plywood sheet.

2. Preparing and securing the plywood top. Hole slot. First, a piece 800 mm by 80 mm is cut out of a sheet of plywood. Next, measurements are taken of the support shoe of the saw that will be mounted on the tabletop. On back side plywood performs marking. 2 central axles will be required. Without them, it is impossible to make accurate markings. Then marks are applied to the plywood corresponding to the dimensions of the support shoe. Then they take the measurements that the circular has: the diameter of the lower protective casing, its thickness, the maximum distance from the edges of the support shoe. In accordance with the obtained dimensions, place marks and cut out a rectangular hole using a jigsaw.

3. Attaching the saw to the plywood table top. First, 4 holes are made in the shoe. Diameter - 10 mm. Next, install the tool so that the working part fits into the cut hole. When the saw is level, you need to mark the location of the holes. Marks are made in the central part. In order for the tool to stand securely, you will need plowshare bolts with a countersunk conical head (M8) for fastening. To install them, you will have to take care of the high-quality recess of the cap; it can protrude by a maximum of 1 mm when not tightened.

Plywood is drilled with outside, the diameter of the resulting holes should be 8 mm, and then a countersink should be made for the head. When the holes are ready, the saw itself is installed on the cutting table for the circular saw, the bolts are tightened from the inside using nuts with plastic locks or spring washers.

4. Fastening the tabletop to the body. Start button. First, holes are made at a distance of 30 mm in the corners of the plywood table top. Then a hole is drilled in the central part of the bars. The parts are connected using an M8 18 mm steel fitting. The usual “Start-start” button is installed on the side. 5. Making a thrust beam. A simple table for a circular saw will become much more convenient if you equip it with a stop beam. Drawings contain everything required sizes. The beam can be made from plywood and secured using full extension furniture rails. The resulting beam should slide above the surface at an angle of 90° to the cutting plane with a slight gap.

6. Stop for longitudinal cuts. It is made from aluminum cornice. 150 mm from the edges, first drill holes for the bolts, and then draw 2 lines from the place where the bolts are attached to the center line. At the intersection and further towards the bolts, 12 mm holes are made at a distance of 30 mm. The bolts from below are tightened with nuts. And along the drawn lines they make slits in the tonic; their width can be seen in the photo.
