A fairy tale where the main character is a sunflower. Sunflower seed. Sunflower legends

Hello dear readers!

Today we will continue our story about sunflowers. Sunflower is a symbol of the sun, joy and optimism. A small sun that turns its head after the big sun.

Sunflowers bloom from July to August. When you see a field with sunflowers, it is impossible to pass by such beauty. My children and I also went for a walk and admired the sunflowers.

If you have such an opportunity, go with the children to the field and admire the sunny flowers, tell them, ask riddles and just tell them about it amazing flower... I think that from such a walk you will be charged with optimism and your mood will rise.

  1. Fun facts about the sunflower for kids.
  2. Sunflower Legends.
  3. What is made from sunflower.
  4. Riddles for children about the sunflower.

Many people are familiar with this amazing plant from childhood. Both children and adults love to indulge in sunflower seeds. Earlier in the villages and villages in the evenings on the benches people snapped seeds and talked.

Children love to eat seeds, delicious halva and kazinaki. Do they know what they are made of, what do they even know about sunflower.

The people call the flower a sunflower, but correctly - a sunflower.

The name of this amazing plant comes from the Greek words: "sun" and "flower". The huge flower really resembles the sun in miniature.

In fact, the yellow circle is not one flower, but the inflorescence is a basket in which there are many flowers. It is an annual plant with a thick stem and large green leaves. The stem reaches a height of 2 m and more.

Why is the sunflower called sunny flower? Because it is constantly growing and the stem becomes longer on the side that faces the sun. The stem contains the phytohormone auxin, which regulates plant growth. It is located in the part of the stem that is not illuminated by the sun and the plant is forced to reach for the sun.

Sunflower has its own interesting story... Its homeland is North America. The Indians considered it a sacred plant and used it in medical practice for fever, chest pains and snake bites.

The flower came to Russia under Peter 1, who brought sunflower seeds from Holland. It was cultivated as decorative flower... But later they tried the seeds and began to grow them in the gardens to get a delicious treat.

Sunflower oil was first obtained by the peasant Bochkarev, who invented a press and squeezed an oily liquid from the seeds.

Sunflower legends

According to one of the ancient legends, the gods sent people a sunflower so that the sun never left them. Indeed, in any weather, its flower is always facing the sun. The sunflower is considered a flower of the sun, joy, optimism.

One of the legends about the appearance of the sunflower came from Mexico.

Once upon a time there lived a little girl named Shochitl, which means "flower". She loved the sun very much and admired it from dawn to dusk. The sun appeared every day and did not hide behind the clouds. It was happiness for the girl. But plants died without moisture. a drought set in and people began to die of hunger. The Aztecs prayed to the gods to send them rain.

The girl went to the temple and asked the sun to hide behind the clouds. The girl's prayer reached the sun god Tonetiu. The long-awaited rain poured down. And Xochitl began to fade away without the sun. And then a divine voice ordered her to go to the sacred village, where flowers always bloom and the sun shines. And there she will be called Xochitl-Tonatiu - "flower of the sun." So the girl turned into sunny flower, which opens up towards the sun and turns its head towards it.

What is made from sunflower

Tell the children that sunflower is a very healthy plant.

Sunflower is grown all over the world. It is used in the food industry. From its seeds, sunflower oil is made, which is rich in vitamin E. From sunflower seeds, you can make halva and delicious kazinaki.

Sunflower is a melliferous plant.

Also sunflower is used for technical needs, in cosmetology (production paints and varnishes, paper, in soap making, making cream).

They grow sunflowers as an ornamental plant, make bouquets.

Sunflower is used in medicine; tinctures and tea are prepared from it. The oil is rich in vitamin E and contains unsaturated acids. It is used to treat burns, wounds and other skin conditions.

Seeds, roots and leaves are used in folk medicine for the treatment of bronchitis, headache, intestinal colic. Decoctions from the roots help with rheumatism and osteochondrosis.

But despite positive traits, seeds in large quantities are harmful: they can lead to stomach ulcers, inflammation of the appendix, tooth decay.

Experiments with sunflower

With children, you can experiment with sunflower, its seeds, in order to find out the properties of oil, how oil is obtained from seeds.

Take raw seeds, peel and pass them through the garlic, or simply place them on paper and press. Greasy stains will remain on the paper and will not disappear. These are oil droplets.

You can learn from experiments the properties of oil. We take a glass of water and drip sunflower oil with a pipette. What will we see? The oil remains on the surface of the water. We conclude: it does not sink in water, but floats in a large drop, which means that oil is lighter than water.

When a drop of oil is stirred, small droplets are formed. The oil particles are divided. And the oil is also clear. If you throw coins into a glass of oil, they will be visible.

We do with children, the conclusion about the properties of oil: oil is lighter than water, it is transparent, viscous, aromatic.

Products are fried in oil, they are seasoned with vegetable salads.

In the spring with children, you can try to grow a sunflower in the garden. To do this, take raw seeds and plant them in the ground. Seedlings will appear that need to be looked after, watered, loosened, and weed control. And the plant will grow and delight you with large baskets with black seeds. When they are ripe, you can collect and fry the seeds. Or cook delicious halva at home.

Today we told the children about the sunflower, learned what can be made from it. and also read the legend of the sunflower.

I also propose to ask riddles for children to consolidate knowledge about the sunflower.

And finally, our photos with sunflowers. We walked with Yulia and Ksyusha, went to the field with sunflowers.

This is the kind of conversation we had today about sunflowers, the flowers of the sun.

Best regards, Olga.

The tale of a tiger cub on a sunflower

In our distant Ussuri taiga there lived a tiger.

He was Ussuri from nose to tail end, and even the stripes on his back were Ussuri.

He was friends with white-breasted cubs and with his uncle the chipmunk, who also had stripes on his back.

Only the chipmunk had stripes along, and the tiger cub across. And who does not understand, let him look at the picture where the stripes go.

But this tale is not about stripes, but about the tiger itself.

The tiger cub has been playing with his friends all summer. How did they play? Very simple.

All together we climbed onto the oldest and largest cedar and found the largest cedar cone there.

They tore off these cones and threw them down. They thought that the bump would crack and all the nuts would pop out of there. But the lump did not crack, and the nuts had to be picked out. But it was very pleasant - picking nuts from the cone that smelled of tar.

They called such a game - bumping.

Well, you probably know that there are such games: drawing, inattention, nut gnawing. This game was very similar to gnawing-gnawing.

They played, played, and suddenly it became cold.

It started snowing and winter began.

In the beginning it was a small winter. And a little bit of snow - on the grass and bushes. And then winter got stronger, gained strength. Frost hit.

One morning, the tiger cub woke up from the cold. Looks - his friends are not visible. There is nobody.

Where are they?

Yes, they all went to bed, - the cedar bird crackled. I-Don't you know that bears and chipmunks go to bed for the winter?

The tiger did not know this and was very surprised. How is this so? They are all asleep, but he is not asleep. Weird.

And if you are awake, what should you do? Play.

The tiger began to play with the snow. He throws snow with his paw, and then catches snowflakes. I played and played - I'm tired of it.

And then a blizzard began. It got very cold. The tiger froze so badly that it even trembled.

Are you frozen, or what? - he heard suddenly.

And this is the uncle chipmunk jumped out of his burrow, which he dug under the roots of trees.

Crawl up to me, - he says, - you will get warm. I'm warm.

Here the tiger climbed to the chipmunk. Climbs, climbs, but cannot climb. The mink is small, and the tiger is big.

And while the tiger cub climbed, the chipmunk yawned, yawned - and fell asleep until spring.

The tiger went to the taiga. Suddenly he hears someone snoring. I looked, and this is an old cedar snoring.

"Did you fall asleep too?" - thought the tiger.

What are you doing! - shouted the nutcracker. - Cedars never sleep. Here birches and aspens fall asleep in winter, but cedars never.

Who is sleeping there so loudly? -The tiger cub crawled and climbed to the top of the cedar.

And there, not far from the top, there was a huge hollow. And in the hollow a bear was sleeping with her cubs.

Brown bears sleep on the ground, in a den, but the Ussuri white-breasted bears live on trees, grow on trees, arrange a den on trees.

The tiger cub looked into this den, and the bear opened one eye and said:

Are you cold, kid, or what? Come in to us, it's warm here.

The tiger climbed into the hollow and just wanted to curl up into a ball, the bear sighed, and then exhaled so that he flew out of the hollow. He flew, flew through the air, and then fell into the snow. But he did not fall much, did not crash, but only buried himself in the snow. And while he flew, he thought all the time: "It would be nice to curl up somewhere in a ball to keep warm."

And so, when he fell into the snow, he immediately curled up into a ball and warmed up a little. As soon as he wanted to close his eyes to fall asleep, he suddenly saw a sunflower seed on the ground under the snow.

And the tiger immediately wanted to gnaw and eat this seed, but then he thought: “You can't eat everything in the world. I regret this seed, because it must have frozen. " And the tiger cub breathed on the seed.

The seed moved slightly. I breathed more - the seed cracked, and a green sprout appeared from it.

The tiger surrounded him with his soft paws, laid his head on his paws, and fell asleep under the howl of a blizzard.

And while the tiger cub was asleep, the seed warmed up and began to grow *, grow, grow, and even gradually blossom.

And then a real miracle happened: right in the middle of the taiga, and in the middle of winter, a sunflower bloomed.

It grew high, high, rose above all the trees, under the very sun, and already there, under the sun, the sunflower opened.

And up there, right on the sunflower, a tiger was sleeping.

And it was, of course, warm for him, because all the storms and blizzards raged below.

Tiger on a sunflower! - shouted the nutcracker. - A tiger on a sunflower!

Spring came soon. The chipmunk and the bear woke up

reaped. We climbed onto a sunflower, and there the tiger cub is asleep. They woke him up.

How did I get here? - the tiger was surprised.

You warmed the seed, - said the wise uncle chipmunk, - and now it warms you.

So the red summer has come, the hot summer, Ussuriysk. The tiger cub looks after the sunflower, loosens the earth with its claws, the bear cubs carry water from the stream, water the sunflower. Good for the tiger. And all the animals are good.

Autumn has come. One evening, friends gathered on a sunflower, eating berries, gnawing nuts.

Good how! - said the wise uncle chipmunk. - And you can see everything far away.

If only we all live on sunflowers!

Nonsense! Nonsense! Nonsense! - shouted the nutcracker. - Not enough for all the sunflowers!

And then a cold wind blew out. Sunflower swayed. The chipmunk and the cubs ran home. There was only one tiger left.

And it started snowing again. The sunflower bent to the ground from the wind and from the snow. The tiger was saddened. He climbed under his sunflower and saw a few last seeds on the ground. I gathered them into a pile, pressed them to me, and fell asleep.

What do you think? Our tiger warmed all the seeds.

And in winter, in the middle of the taiga, a whole bunch of sunflowers grew. Huge flowers opened, and on each sunflower someone was basking in the sun.

There is a bear cub.

There is a fox cub.

There is a wolf cub.

And the tiger cub was fast asleep on the highest sunflower.

Age: 3-5 years old.
Direction: Anxiety and anxiety associated with separation from the mother and joining the children's collective (kindergarten). Fear of independence, general fearfulness.
Key phrase: “Don't leave. I'm afraid!"

A large family of sunflower seeds lived in the garden on a tall sunflower. They lived amicably and merrily.

One day - it was at the end of summer - strange noises woke them up. It was the voice of the Wind. It rustled louder and louder. “It's time! It's time !! It's time !!! "- called the Wind.

The seeds suddenly realized that it really was time for them to leave the basket of their native sunflower. They hurried up and began to say goodbye to each other.

Some were taken by birds, others flew away with the wind, and the most impatient jumped out of the basket themselves. Those who stayed enthusiastically discussed the upcoming journey and the unknown that awaited them. They knew that some extraordinary transformation awaited them.

Only one seed was sad. He did not want to leave his own basket, which had been warmed by the sun all summer and in which it was so cozy.

“Where are you in a hurry? You have never left home before and you don't know what's outside! I'm not going anywhere! I will stay here! ”It said.

Brothers and sisters laughed at the seed, said: “You are a coward! How can you refuse such a trip? " And every day there were fewer and fewer of them in the basket.

And then, finally, the day came when the seed was left in the basket, all alone. No one laughed at him anymore, no one called him a coward, but no one called him with them anymore. The seed suddenly felt so lonely! Oh! Why didn't it leave the basket with its brothers and sisters! "Maybe I'm really a coward?" - thought the seed.

Rain is coming. And then it got colder, and the wind became angry and no longer whispered, but whistled: "Hurry-s-s-s-s-ss!" The sunflower bent to the ground in a gust of wind. The seed became scared to remain in the basket, which seemed to be about to break away from the stem and roll to no one knows where.

“What will happen to me? Where will the Wind take me? Will I never see my brothers and sisters again? - it asked itself. - I want to be with them. I don’t want to be here alone. Can't I overcome my fear? "

And then the seed was decided. "Whatever happens!" - "and, mustering his strength, jumped down.

The wind caught it so that it would not hurt itself, and gently lowered it to the soft ground. The ground was warm, somewhere above the Wind was already howling, but from here its noise seemed like a lullaby. It was safe here. It was as cozy here as it once was in a sunflower basket, and the seed, tired and exhausted, fell asleep unnoticed.

The seed woke up in early spring... I woke up and did not recognize myself. Now it was no longer a seed, but a tender green sprout, which stretched towards the gentle sun. And around there were many of the same sprouts that his brothers and sisters-seeds turned into.

They were all happy to meet again, and especially they were radonized by our seed. And now no one called him a coward. Everyone told him: “You are great! You turned out to be so brave! After all, you were left alone, and there was no one to support you. " Everyone was proud of him.

And the seed was very happy.

Issues for discussion
What was the seed afraid of? What did the seed decide to make? Did it do the right thing or not? What would happen if the seed continued to be afraid?

I will take you to the land of sunflowers
To a country where clouds of smiles ...
Roads, knocked out by traces of warm drops,
The rains that fly from high.
Where butterflies live in everyone's eyes
And the inhabitants went a little crazy,
Where they exist only hand in hand
Without letting go of each other for centuries.
I will take you to the land of sunflowers
To a country where we will always be happy.
Where the cloud will be our home
Noticeable, only to us from afar. author Lyubov Legkodimova

When someone says a word, you can't help smiling. It was not for nothing that they called him that. The bright heads of flowers seem to look with such surprise and delight from their height, and rejoice at everything that happens. And the yellow-orange rays of sunflower petals are wide open like big eyelashes. They are with such charm and interest, reaching up to the sun.

The stem grows high, and, in quivering tenderness, everyone stretches and reaches for the sun and dreams of merging with it. As soon as the first rays of the sun touch the petals of the sunflower, they kiss timidly. But, then the sun kisses so hot that the sunflowers, exhausted from this heat, lower their head in thought. So unbearable ... In the evening, the sunflower sees off the sun beyond the horizon, which says goodbye to it with a crimson sunset, and in the morning again gently touches it with its rays.

Sunflowers are very happy with the sun and again with all their love reaches for it. But at noon, the delicate petals begin to burn again. This is too passionate and unbearable love. And so, there are many days ...

Sunflowers do not know the answer why the sun loves him so much, but each time it burns with its hot rays. Tears of despair and resentment are quietly rolling down the delicate petals.

Then the sunflower is filled with seeds, which are poured. It is hard for a sunflower to reach for the sun now, and it just looks around. And he notices that there are many little suns like him around, who look at him with surprise. After all, they also loved the sun, but did not notice anyone nearby.

In a certain kingdom, in a certain state, there was a marvelous royal garden. There were so many flowers here: tulips, roses, bells, violets, gladioli, and nasturtium! But the most beautiful, the highest and solar plant there was a sunflower in the garden.

He was always admired by the king and queen, and the noble guests of the kingdom. As they go out into the garden for a walk on a warm summer evening, you can only hear:
- Oh, what a lovely, bright, amazing flower!

The sunflower was indeed the king of the garden. His yellow even in rainy weather it gave coziness and comfort. And the shape and size of the flower itself reminded everyone of the warm sun.
An evil sorceress heard about this sunny flower. She couldn't stand sunlight, multi-colored paints and joy. And she decided to ruin the sunflower.

Transformed into a large black crow, the sorceress flew into the royal garden. And with her huge strong beak, she uprooted a flower, picked it up and carried it to the black forest.
Becoming a witch again, she said:
- Because you are so beautiful and bright, and I hate this, I turn you into the most pitiful, small and inconspicuous flower! Now no one will even look at you!
With these words, she waved her magic staff and enchanted a sunflower, planting it on a forest path.

- Now you will be like this until you are disenchanted. And this will only happen when you are admired three times. But this will never happen! - exclaimed the witch and flew away to her lair.
The unhappy sunflower began to grieve. But, grieve - do not grieve, but it is necessary to grow somehow.
One day he heard a child's cry for help. He guessed that someone was lost, because already darkness had enveloped the forest. Gathering all his strength and brightness, he began to shine as best he could! And a young girl came out into this world.

She went to the flower, bent down and said:
- Thank you, dear flower, for helping me out! Though you are ordinary-looking, but the noblest! I admire you!
And she ran down the path home. And our flower has a little hope to return to its former appearance.
Time passed, but nothing happened. Suddenly, on a hot summer day, a sunflower heard a thin voice:
- Oh, poor me a butterfly! I am so hungry, but all the nectar has already been collected ... I have no strength to flutter anymore!
The flower perked up, looked around, saw a butterfly and said:
- Sweet beauty! I am so ugly that all the insects fly past me. And I am full of sweet, fragrant, tasty and aromatic nectar! Taste it!
The butterfly accepted the offer and flew up onto the flower.

When she was full, she said:
- Thank you, unknown flower! You may be ugly, but your soul is beautiful, and the nectar is delicious! I admire you!
After these words, the butterfly flew further. And the flower was left alone in its thoughts. He didn’t expect a miracle, but it seems as it happens. What will be next?
And then our sunflower saw a very strange hedgehog... Like a hedgehog, but like a hedgehog. Everything is in place: the thorns, and the tail, and the nose. But where did the horns come from? The flower could not resist and asked:
- Hedgehog, why are you so unusual?
To which the hedgehog replied:
- Yes, the local sorceress flew by here. And I took it, and made fun of her. I say that she has lagged behind fashion. And it's time to change the stupa, and take care of yourself. So she bewitched me out of spite.
- How can I help you? - the sunflower thought.
“Now, if I guess the riddle of the witch, I’ll become the same,” said the hedgehog. - Many hands, but one leg. Do you, by any chance, know what it is?
The flower thought about it and exclaimed:
-Yes, it's a tree! Go quickly to the witch and tell the answer.
- Thank you, kind flower! I admire your ingenuity! Good luck to you! - and the hedgehog rolled along the path.
