Complete set of fire shields

For the convenience of storing equipment that any person can use to extinguish a fire, fire shields, cabinets or stands are used. The panel of fire-extinguishing devices is equipped with various primary fire-extinguishing means, fire-fighting equipment and tools. These panels can be produced both closed and open, all-metal or collapsible, made of metal or wood. To make the right choice in favor of a specific model, let's look at the types of products on the market.

Variety of shields

SCHP-A

All fire shields are completed in accordance with the need to extinguish a certain class of fire. For example, the ShchP-A fire panel is equipped for extinguishing class A fires, that is, solid substances. It will contain one of the types of fire extinguishers: powder or air-foam.

In addition, the kit includes a crowbar, a hook and two, a shovel and a container for storing water. The shield can be sold both closed and open. Closed ones are installed where there is a large traffic of people. But in no case should there be a lock on it.

ShchP-B and ShchP-E

You can also find class B and E shields for extinguishing the corresponding fire classes. Since class B fires are the ignition of liquids, the kit will also include a powder or air-foam fire extinguisher. The difference between the configuration of this shield and the previous one is that the set does not include a hook, but there is an asbestos blanket or other non-combustible cloth.

The ShchP-E fire shield is needed for, therefore, when selecting it, the use of air-foam fire extinguishers is excluded due to the possibility of electric shock. It is better to use a powder or carbon dioxide fire extinguisher here.

But for cutting live wires, there is a special set of dielectric gloves, scissors and a rug. And also instead of a shovel, there is a hook with a wooden handle and a box of sand.

Other types of sets

There are also fire shields for agricultural needs (ЩП-СХ) and mobile ones (ЩПП).

The shield for agricultural needs has a bayonet and shovel, a pitchfork and a hook and a crowbar, as well as a container for storing water and two conical buckets, asbestos cloth. Since fires in agriculture are mainly associated with the ignition of solid and liquid flammable substances, therefore, fire shields are equipped with air-foam and powder fire extinguishers.

For mobile types of fire shields, they use almost the same equipment, only here there is an additional mobile mechanism and the ability to close the instrument with a screen.

  • with a "+" sign - fire extinguishers, the use of which is allowed in the absence of recommended ones and with appropriate justification.
  • the sign "-" - fire extinguishers, which are not allowed to equip these objects.

Stand complete set

Unlike the fire shield, the fire stand includes the same items, but is supplemented with a built-in sand container. Its volume is at least 1 m 3, and the sand located there must always be ready for use. The hopper for its storage can be made both all-metal and collapsible.

Role of cabinets

(PS) is called equipment designed to save the safety of funds that are used to extinguish a fire. According to GOST R 51844-2001, fire cabinets contain inventory: only a fire extinguisher, only a fire hydrant or a fire extinguisher and a fire hydrant.

The fire hydrant system consists of a shut-off valve connected to, and there can be one or two of them. There are standard requirements for fire hydrants and extinguishers. For example, the size of the fire pressure hose is set by GOST R 51049, NPB 152; connecting heads for fire fighting equipment are designated in accordance with GOST 28252, NPB 153.

An additional button is installed in the fire cabinet for the controlled start of fire pumps, personal protective equipment and other fire extinguishing equipment. The standard hose length is 20 meters. If there is a fire, the first thing to do is to break the glass and open the cabinet door with the key. When opening the fire cabinet door, open the basket and release the sleeve. A water cannon is installed on the sleeve, which forms a pressure and a stream of water. On the other hand, the sleeve is connected to a valve, which can be unscrewed without much effort.

On sale there are cabinets with a transparent window. They are painted white or red with powder paint. Signal colors on the door are always used in accordance with GOST.

Depends on the number of components and on the size of fire extinguishers, hoses, barrels. In the drawing projects of structures, a place must be allocated for a fire cabinet.

According to the installation methods, fire cabinets are:

  • built-in - fixed in wall niches;
  • hinged - mounted on the wall inside the structure;
  • attached - placed on the floor.
