Memo "rule of conduct in case of fire"

The sequence of the most urgent and mandatory actions.

1. Leave the burning room.

2. Call the Ministry of Emergency Situations by calling 101.

3. Quickly and clearly name: - The address where the fire or fire was detected. - What exactly is on fire: TV, furniture, etc. - If the dispatcher asks, then clarify: the number of the house, entrance, apartment, on which floor the light is on, how many floors in the building, from where it is more convenient to drive up, the code for entering the entrance. - Give your name and phone number.

4. If there is no telephone, call the neighbors, shout "Fire", calling for help, knock on the walls, on the pipes so that everyone can hear your alarm signal.

5. Meet the rescuers.

6. Only if the fire is small, try to deal with it yourself: fill it with water, cover it with a blanket, knock it down with a broom. Breathe through a wet scarf or towel.

Leaving a burning room:

1. Before opening a closed door in a burning house, touch it with the back of your hand. Do not open it if you feel that the door is warm - there is fire behind it.

2. Do not use the elevator during a fire.

3. Go down stairs only. Never run wild.

4. Moving to the exit through the smoky room, move along the wall crouching or crawling - there is less smoke at the bottom.

5. Cover yourself with a wet thick cloth, towel, blanket.

6. Breathe through a wet handkerchief, fabric, clothing.

7. If your clothes catch fire, don't try to run, try to put out the flame by rolling on the floor or douse yourself with water.

8. Do not go back into the burning room until the firemen say that the danger has passed.

But what if the fire cut off the path to the exit?

1. Turn off the electricity and turn off the gas.

2. Go to the room farthest from the burning room, tightly closing all doors and windows behind you.

3. Plug door cracks and ventilation holes with wet rags.

4. Douse the floor and doors with water, thus lowering their temperature.

5. If the room is smoky or the temperature rises, go out onto the balcony, close the door tightly behind you.

6. Try to attract the attention of passers-by with cries for help.

7. Signal rescuers through the window with a piece of bright cloth or a flashlight.

8. If your apartment is located no higher than 2 floors and you are in immediate danger, then get out through the window, but before you jump, you need to throw mattresses, pillows, carpets down to soften the fall.

What not to do in case of fire:

1. Open windows and doors in a burning room - oxygen promotes combustion, and smoke reduces it.

2. Get close to the fire because of the danger of explosions, collapse of building structures.

3. Give in to panic and interfere with those who put out the fire.

4. Extinguish with water household appliances, electrical panels and wires included in the network.
If your TV or other electrical appliance catches fire:
Turn off the appliance quickly by pulling the plug out of the socket;
fill the fire with sand, earth from a flower pot, washing powder;
cover the appliance with a thick cloth or blanket, blanket, jacket, rug to stop air from reaching the flame;
if the fire has intensified, close the windows and doors, leave the room;
report to the emergency service on call 101.
