We all live in a society where it is necessary to comply with certain norms and rules of behavior in the road traffic environment. Often, the perpetrators of road accidents are children themselves who play near roads, cross the street in the wrong places, enter and exit vehicles incorrectly.

However, preschool children are a special category of pedestrians and passengers. They cannot be approached with the same yardstick as adults, because for them the literal interpretation of the Traffic Rules is unacceptable, and the normative presentation of the duties of pedestrians and passengers in road vocabulary inaccessible to them requires abstract thinking from preschoolers, complicates the process of education and upbringing.

That is why it is necessary to teach children safe behavior on the streets, roads, in transport and traffic rules at preschool age. Both parents and teachers should be involved in this.

Having studied the problem of familiarizing children with the rules of the road and seeing the relevance of this problem at the present stage, we have developed a series of presentations on traffic rules for preschoolers.

The presentation is aimed at forming the foundations of safe behavior for preschool children on the streets of the city by introducing multimedia technologies into the educational process of the kindergarten. The presentation on traffic rules can be used both in an individual form of work and in class with a group.

Goals and objectives of the presentation:

  1. To acquaint preschoolers with the rules and norms of safe behavior for the acquisition of social experience.
  2. To form the ability in children to navigate the street by symbolic means of road traffic.
  3. Ability to plan the stages of their actions, to justify their choice.
  4. To develop skills of safe behavior on the road.
  5. To educate children about the importance of compliance with the rules of the road.

Equipment: laptop or computer with multimedia equipment, speakers.
