Nagorno sermon

After the election of the apostles, Jesus Christ came down with them from the top of the mountain and became in the same place. They came to listen to him and get healing from their diseases. Everyone sought to touch the Savior, because the power came from him and healing everyone.

At first, the Lord pointed out what his disciples should be, that is, all Christians. How they must fulfill the law of God to get a blessed (that is, highly joyful, happy), eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. For this he gave nine commandments of bliss. Then the Lord gave the doctrine of the fishery of God, about the fault of others, about the strength of prayer, about alms and much more. This preaching of Jesus Christ is called nagorno.

Clean hearts - People who will not only be restricted from bad deeds, but also their souls try to make clean, that is, they keep it from evil thoughts and desires. Peacemakers - People who do not like any quarrels. They are trying to live with all peacefully and friendly and others to do with each other. They are likened to the Son of God, who came to the ground to reconcile the sinless man with God's justice. Such people will be called sons, i.e. by the children of God, and will be especially close to God.
