How much does one square meter of corrugated board weigh. Profiled C21 - specifications, description, price. Standard weight of corrugated board sheets - what it depends on and how to calculate

S21-1000 corrugated board is one of the most versatile profiles widely used in modern construction. The height of the trapezoid of 21 mm provides a sufficiently high load-bearing capacity. Therefore, galvanized corrugated board C21 is equally successfully used both in structures subject to significant wind loads and as roofing at any angle of inclination of the roof.

Profiled S-21 - production and applications

C21 corrugated board, the production of which does not require complex expensive equipment, is manufactured by many metalworking enterprises Russian Federation and most CIS countries. Its release is regulated by a number of regulatory documents. In particular:

  1. S-21 galvanized corrugated board is made from rolled cold-rolled steel grades 01 and 220-350 according to GOST R 52246-2004 with a zinc coating.
  2. Ordinary professional sheet C21 - according to GOST 24045-94 and TU 1122-079-02494680-01.
  3. Painted profiled sheet galvanized C21 is produced from galvanized steel with a polymer coating in accordance with GOST R 52146-2003.

The marking of the C21-1000 corrugated board is deciphered as follows (for example, let's decipher the C21-1000-0.7 corrugated board):

  • C - wall;
  • 21 — profile trapezoid height, mm;
  • 1000 - useful (working) profile width;
  • 0.7 is the thickness of the metal of the initial workpiece from galvanized steel coils;

Profiled S-21-1000 — appearance

C21 corrugated board is one of the most popular brands of profiled sheet. It is used throughout the construction industry. In particular:

  1. Roof covering industrial, public buildings, as well as individual residential buildings at any angle of inclination of the roof.
  2. Prefabricated temporary and permanent buildings and structures, small architectural forms, warehouses, garages, trade pavilions.
  3. Various frame structures, including stiffening diaphragms in frame-block construction.
  4. Panel structures for fences and railings.
  5. Insulated and non-insulated wall structures.
  6. fences industrial enterprises, dachas and individual houses.
  7. Wall cladding in the reconstruction of buildings and structures.
  8. Production of insulated wall structures and prefabricated prefabricated sandwich panels.

S-21 corrugated board - profile dimensions

In addition to the galvanized version, there is also a C21 polymer corrugated board. Moreover, it is this type of profile that is most often used by private developers, since its service life is much longer and it looks more aesthetic.

Profiled C21 - dimensions and specifications

Profiled sheet C21, due to its low weight, is very easy to install. For example, when constructing the roof of a house from a profiled sheet C21-1000-0.7, the weight of one square meter roofing will be only 7.4 kg. Rigidity and high load bearing capacity profiled sheet C21, the sheet cutting dimensions of which can be from 1.0 to 12.0 m, allow to reduce the number of assembly joints to a minimum. This is especially significant when using a profiled sheet with a wave of 21 mm for roofing. How much the C21 corrugated board weighs can be seen in the table below.

The working width of the profiled sheet C21 is determined as the difference between the full width and the value of the mounting longitudinal overlap with adjacent sheets. When calculating the volume of purchase of C21 corrugated board, the weight of the lot is determined by the product of the weight of 1 running meter. length per sheet length and per total number of sheets.

In the table below, the cost of profiled sheet C21 is indicated based on the average market value. The price of C21 profiled sheet with a polymer coating depends on the type of coating and can be more by 10% or 300%.

You can buy profiled sheet S-21 after specifying its cost at the time of purchase from the seller or a regional representative of the manufacturer of corrugated board. When buying a C21 profiled sheet, the price of which is below the market, be sure to ask for a certificate, and, by batch number, check the origin of the goods.

Sometimes, for the construction of various sheds and outbuildings, substandard C21 profiled sheet is used, which can be bought at a much lower price. But at the same time, one should be aware that the service life of such a material will be much lower than that of a profile that fully complies with the requirements of regulatory documents.

When purchasing C21 corrugated board, the price per sheet will be determined by the product of the price of 1 running meter. profile per sheet length. So, based on the data in the table, when buying galvanized corrugated board C21-1000-0.7, the price of one sheet 6.0 m long will be 253x6 = 1518 rubles. VAT included.

In general, the S21-1000 profiled sheet will be simply indispensable during construction country house or country cottage. It is reliable, versatile and durable. Also, this material has high decorative qualities, especially for options with a polymer coating. At the same time, it is very easy to buy C21 corrugated board in absolutely any city, and the price of C-21 corrugated board is fully consistent with its characteristics and quality. Moreover, it is probably one of the best materials based on the price / quality ratio.

Combining various colors, textures and shapes of the S21-1000 profiled sheet, you will make your home elegant and attractive, and the fence personal plot from this profile will be reliable enough and will be able to withstand the vast majority of the vicissitudes of the weather.

The corrugated board is a light roofing, as 1 m2 of a sheet weighs about 5 kg on average. This positive feature has given durable material popularity. Accurate weight profiled sheet for each brand is determined individually. Let's figure out what this indicator depends on, and make an overview of popular brands of this material.

Influencing factors

Many determine the weight of a corrugated sheet by its size. This is not entirely true, since 2 products are of the same dimensions, but different brands have different weights. This value is determined by the thickness of the material, the shape and size of the wave, as well as the mass of the steel alloy from which it is made.

Most often it is made of galvanized metal, but alloys can be used. Each raw material has its own weight and plays one of the main roles in shaping the mass of the finished product. Modern technologies allow the use of alloys in the production of profiled sheets different metals. Due to this, the manufacturer tries to reduce the cost of the material, but not to the detriment of its strength.

Another important factor is the thickness. There is a standard GOST 24045-94, according to which manufacturers manufacture products of 0.6–1 mm. Sometimes in retail outlets there are products of 0.45–1.18 mm.

Products of any brand has a wave. The higher its height, the heavier the product will be. So why is the weight of a square meter of corrugated board of the same thickness, but with different height waves so different? It all depends on the amount of metal falling on 1 m2 of the product. More steel or alloy is used to make a high wave than a low profile, and therefore the overall result will vary.

In addition to height, the wave differs in its shape. The profile of a professional flooring is made rectangular, a trapeze or a traditional wave. If we take, for example, an instance with a profile in the form of a trapezoid, then its weight of 1 m2 will exceed the mass of a similarly sized wavy product.

And the last factor that needs attention is the width. There are two concepts such as working area and full. These two definitions differ in the width of the overlap. A product manufactured in accordance with GOST has a full width range of 646–1060 mm. The width is affected by the same indicator of wave height. The higher the wave, the narrower the product, but the weight of 1m2 is greater.

Overview of popular brands

To find out how much a profiled sheet weighs, let's look at several popular brands often used in the construction of roofs and fences.

Brand C21

C21 profiled sheet is made from galvanized sheet metal. Rigidity is given by waves made in the form of a trapezoid. Most often, this brand is used in the construction of fences and partitions. The increased rigidity of the profile prevents bending, which reduces material consumption by additional production frame fasteners. You can find out the weight of the profiled sheet c21 with different thicknesses of metal from the table. For example, the mass of 1 p / m with a thickness of 0.6 and a width of 1250 is 6.4 kg. If we take the weight of 1 m2 of a product with the same parameters, then it will also be equal to 6.4 kg.

Brand H114

Let's determine the weight of the H114 corrugated board, which is often used for the construction of roofs. It is used in regions where bad climatic conditions. The material is able to withstand heavy snow load, strong gusts of wind. The large weight of H114 corrugated board determines its high strength, which allows it to be used in the construction of non-separable formwork for monolithic structures. We will calculate the mass of corrugated board n114 according to the thickness of the steel, which has a range of 0.7–1.2 mm. If you look at the table, you can see that the sheets of this brand are much heavier, for example, compared to the c21 brand.

Take, for example, a sheet with a thickness of 0.7. According to the table, the weight of corrugated board n114–750 is 8.3 kg / 1 p / m. Now let's find out the severity of 1 m2 of the product. We return to the same table, where we see that the mass of corrugated board n114 with a size of 1 m2 exceeds 1 p / m and is equal to 11.10 kg. If you take it from steel with a thickness of 1, then its mass will be even more impressive. For example, the weight of corrugated board n114–750–1.0 is 15.6 kg/m2.

The H114 brand is produced with a working area of 600 and 750 mm. Strength is provided by trapezoidal profile shapes. Due to the smaller dimensions, less load falls on a 600 mm wide sheet, therefore top bar waves consists of 1 stiffener.

Brand C8

The appearance of the waves of the profiled sheet c8 resemble the shape of a trapezoid. The profile has a height of 8 mm. The table below indicates the weight of c8 corrugated board, depending on its thickness. Take, for example, profiled sheet s8-1150 with a thickness of 0.4. From the table you can see that 1 m / p - 4.45 kg, and 1 m2 - 3.87 kg.

The profiled sheet c8 is used in the construction of light structures. These can be partitions, fences of private plots and other fragile structures. The use of profiled sheet c8 as a roofing is unjustified. It is strong, but not strong enough to withstand large snow loads. The professional sheet c8 gained popularity among summer residents due to its low cost without compromising good performance.

Brand H75

H75 corrugated board is used as a roofing. The increased strength profile is able to withstand heavy loads, both in a vertical and horizontal position. Produce professional flooring H75 from galvanized sheet steel. Products are released different sizes. If we take, for example, a product with a thickness of 0.7 mm and a width of 1250, then 1 m2 will equal 9.8 kg. The mass of 1 m2 with a thickness of 0.9 will already be 12.5 kg. For the convenience of determining the weight of the H75 brand product, tables are similarly used.

Brand NS35

NS 35 corrugated board is made from galvanized sheet metal or galvanized metal with a protective polymer layer. The material is used to cover roofs with a slight slope, in construction prefabricated buildings, fences and other structures. Trapezoidal waveforms give the material increased strength, with a relatively small mass. If we take from the table the material of the largest thickness of 0.8 mm, then 1 m2 is equal to 8.4 kg. The thinnest professional sheet - 0.4 only 4.45 kg / m2.

From the examples considered, we can conclude that, with its high strength, the profiled sheet has a small weight, and you need to know it for correct execution calculations of the roof truss system.

Regardless of which structure will be finished with a profiled metal sheet, it is necessary to imagine what load it will exert on the supporting elements. Therefore, the weight of the profiled sheet must be taken into account along with its other characteristics. Moreover, they are all interconnected. This parameter may be important both for transporting the material and for choosing the method of its supply to the installation site.

What is corrugated board

Profiled sheet or corrugated board - universal material, which is used in almost all areas of construction from scaffolding and formwork to wall and roof cladding. But the scope dictates its own requirements for the characteristics of this material. In particular, to its thickness and rigidity, which directly depends on the relief of the sheet.

Profiled sheeting is produced from steel sheets by cold rolling on machines that give it a certain relief. After that, an anti-corrosion layer of zinc and a colored polymer coating are applied to the finished product. Sheets are also produced without a polymer layer, simply galvanized on both sides, as well as products with a multi-layer coating.

The weight of corrugated board is determined based on one linear or square meter. And it depends on parameters such as thickness steel sheet and coatings, corrugation height, overall width of the product. And these parameters, in turn, determine the purpose of the profiled sheet and its scope. It can be load-bearing, wall or universal, which is reflected in the marking.

  • Bearing profiled sheets are indicated by the letter "H". They have a large thickness (up to 1.5-3 mm) and a profile wave height (57-114 mm), often have additional grooves for the removal of precipitation and condensate, which are necessary when installing roofs. Apart from roofing works load-bearing corrugated board is used for the construction of factory workshops, storage facilities, garages, hangars, cargo containers and other structures operated with heavy load. It weighs a lot, so it requires a strong and reliable frame.

  • The letters "NS" mark materials of medium thickness (0.5-1.5 mm) and relief (35-44 mm). Due to their increased rigidity, they can be used both as load-bearing elements as well as for wall and ceiling cladding. It is this type of corrugated board that is most often used to cover roofs, since it weighs less than its load-bearing counterparts, but at the same time it has sufficient strength.
  • "C" is brand wall materials small and medium thickness (0.3-1.0 mm) with a small relief (8-21 mm), mainly used for cladding walls and other surfaces, as well as the installation of non-load-bearing structures. For example, fences, fences, gates and gates. Their mass is the smallest in comparison with other categories. For example, the weight of a C8 profiled sheet with a thickness of half a millimeter is only 4.7 kg / m2, while H75 with a thickness of 0.9 mm is almost 3 times heavier.

Dependence of weight on geometric parameters

Any type of corrugated board is based on thin-sheet galvanized rolled products manufactured in accordance with GOST 14918. This is the original blank, which can be different thickness and width.

After passing through bending machine it acquires a relief with a certain shape and wave height, in accordance with which the original width of the product decreases. For example, if the width of the C8 profiled sheet after rolling becomes 1150 mm, then C21 decreases to 1000 mm due to the greater wave height. Accordingly, the weight of one square meter of these materials will be different, despite the same initial parameters.

Video description

You can clearly see how sheet steel turns into a profiled sheet in the following video:

Profiled sheets are produced in accordance with GOST 24045-2010, which regulates their parameters and technical characteristics. They are necessarily marked with the indication of the purpose of the material, the height of the profile and the working width of the sheet.

Note! The working (or useful) width is not equal to the total. It is indicated without overlaps and is taken to calculate the area covered by the material. Overall Width usually more than working per wave.

On our site you can find contacts and related materials. You can directly communicate with representatives by visiting the exhibition of houses "Low-Rise Country".

The label is easy to understand. For example, H57-750 means that in front of you carrier material with a wave height of 57 mm and a working sheet width of 750 mm.

But such marking can have products of different thicknesses, with protective coating or without it. And the thickness of the coating can be different. Therefore, when buying a C8 profiled sheet, it is not enough to know the dimensions of the sheet - other parameters are also needed, on which the weight of the product depends. It is determined by the table. For galvanized corrugated board without polymer coating it looks like this:

0,4 3,52 3,68 3,72 4,05 4,75 4,79 5,40 6,75 0,45 3,95 4,13 4,17 4,54 5,33 5,37 6,05 7,57 0,5 4,38 4,57 4,62 5,03 5,90 5,95 6,71 8,39 0,6 5,23 5,47 5,52 6,01 7,05 7,12 8,02 10,02 0,7 6,08 6,36 6,42 6,99 8,21 8,28 9,33 11,66 0,8 6,93 7,25 7,32 7,98 9,36 9,44 10,63 13,29 0,9 7,79 8,14 8,22 8,96 10,51 10,60 11,94 14,93 1,0 8,64 9,03 9,12 9,94 11,66 11,76 13,25 16,56 1,5 12,91 13,49 13,62 14,84 17,42 17,57 19,79 24,74

In the case of painted sheets, the figures will be different, since the total thickness includes the thickness of the polymer coating and other layers, which can be in the range of 25-100 microns. Therefore, there is less metal in them than in simply galvanized counterparts, respectively, the weight will be lower.

For comparison, you can study the following table, which shows the weight of the same products, but with a polyester coating with a thickness of 25 microns.

In a word, there is no fixed weight value for profiled steel products - it varies depending on many parameters. But any manufacturer must provide customers with such data upon request.

Referring to a similar table, you can be sure that you were sold sheets of the required thickness, even without being able to measure it.

The characteristics of the material indicate the weight of 1 running meter. or 1 m², since the length of the sheet can be anything from half a meter to 12 meters. To calculate how much the C8 profiled sheet weighs, the length and width dimensions must be multiplied to find its area, and then multiplied by the weight of 1 m².

Conclusion

The weight of any material must be known to perform calculations on the load on bearing structures, load capacity definitions vehicle for its transportation, etc. Profiled sheet is a relatively light material, but even in large quantities it can pull a decent weight.

The weight of a profiled sheet is one of the technical characteristics of a modern facing building material for outdoor work. Roofs, fences, railings and more can be built from scratch or simply upgraded.

1 Profile sheet facts

Typically, this building material is made from galvanized rolled steel, which is molded in a certain way until stiffeners appear. Such a unique design, combined with the initial strength of the feedstock, gives the profiled sheet special technical properties, the main ones being resistance to corrosion, high strength, and, importantly in construction, low weight of the material.

The entire profile sheet is divided into wall (marking C), universal (NS) and roofing (H). According to the type of corrugation, a wavy, rectangular and trapezoidal material is made, which is covered protective layer acrylic, polyester, PVC, polyurethane or no coating at all.

Metal-roll with a color coating looks aesthetically pleasing and does not violate general harmony the surrounding landscape.

Profile sheet meets the requirements modern architecture and design to the building object and is resistant to external influences and natural phenomena.

This building material also differs in:

  • the width of the sheet, which is divided into full (overall) and useful (working);
  • the thickness of rolled metal, which is possible in the range of 0.4–1.5 mm;
  • the height of the corrugations, where for grade C the rib height is 8–21 mm, for NS - over 44 mm, for H - 57 mm or more.

2 Weight is one of the most important characteristics of the material

This technical characteristic gives the profile material several unique properties:

  • the light weight of 1 m² of building material can significantly reduce the load on the bearing supports, which increases the life of the facility;
  • greatly facilitates installation;
  • allows construction or repair work without the use of special equipment.

The weight is influenced by several parameters of the profiled sheet: the thickness of the galvanized steel sheet, the height of the corrugation wave and sometimes the quality of the alloy. already exist industrial technologies, which allow the production of this building material from stronger steel grades with less weight than before. But the main production is still carried out according to the state regulatory document GOST 24045-94, which regulates the main characteristics and parameters.

For the most popular brands of corrugated board, there is a certain table in which it is calculated how much it will weigh. Weight is defined as for running meter material, and for useful 1 m²:

  1. Wall decking grades C8, C10, C15, C17 and C21, where the height of the rib varies from 8 to 21 mm, respectively, and having a sheet thickness of 0.4 to 0.8 mm, can weigh from 4.45 to 8.37 kg per 1 linear meter and 3.87–8.37 kg for a useful one.
  2. The universal material of the HC35 and HC44 brands weighs like a wall material - 4.45–8.37 kg for a galvanized sheet thickness of 0.4–0.8 mm. Sheets of the HC44 brand are heavier, as they have a greater rib height. With a sheet thickness of 0.7–0.8 mm, its weight will be 8.3 and 9.4 kg for a working and linear meter, respectively.
  3. The profile sheet of grades H57, H60, H75 is made from thicker galvanized steel, and therefore weighs more. For a sheet thickness of 0.6–0.9 mm with a profiled sheet edge height of 57, 60 and 75 mm, the weight of 1 linear meter will be 5.62–9.3 kg (with 1 m² weighing from 7.5 to 12.5 kg).
  4. H114 profiled sheeting, having a rib height of 114 mm, is significantly ahead of other brands in terms of weight, because already with a sheet thickness of 0.7 mm, the weight of 1 linear meter will be 7.39 kg. With an increase in the thickness of the steel sheet to 1 mm, this figure will increase to 10.3 kg. The maximum weight of 1 m² (useful) will be 17.2 kg with a thickness of 1 mm.
  5. H153 is one of the heaviest brands of corrugated board, with a rib height of 153 mm. The sheet from which this brand is made can have a thickness ranging from 0.7 to 1.5 mm, so the weight of 1 linear meter varies between 8.66–18.08 kg, and 1 useful square. m weighs from 10.3 to 21.52 kg.

In the manufacture of profile material according to special standards, where copper or aluminum is taken as the basis instead of steel, there are calculation calculators to determine the weight of the finished product.

To calculate the total, you need to know the weight of 1 linear meter and multiply it by the full length of the material. This indicator is taken into account not only during installation building structures but also when transporting building materials. It is a small indicator of weight, which greatly simplifies its delivery to construction sites, provided corrugated board with another advantage over other materials.

When erecting various buildings and structures, it is very important to take into account the mass building materials, especially during the construction of the roof, because in addition to its own weight, it must take the load from wind, snow and water during rain. If the roof covering is made of profiled steel, then you need to know the weight of the profiled sheet. In addition, it is necessary to understand what factors this value depends on, and why it is needed.

The weight of a profiled sheet depends on several factors:

  • features of steel alloy;
  • material thickness;
  • profile configuration;
  • sheet dimensions.

The following factors affect the weight of the product:

  1. The weight characteristic of a profiled sheet largely depends on the characteristics and composition of the raw materials used for its manufacture. The production technology of this material is constantly being improved, the composition of the alloy is improving, which makes it possible to obtain a lighter product without losing its technical characteristics.
  2. Another condition that affects the mass of the product is its thickness. The greater the thickness, the greater the mass of one sheet. The sheet material produced in accordance with GOST number 24045-94, according to which profile sheets are made with a thickness in the range of 0.06-0.1 cm. However, some manufacturers produce products with a thickness of 0.045-1.018 cm.
  3. Also, the weight of a corrugated sheet depends on the height and pitch of the ridge. If two products of the same dimensions and steel thickness have different characteristics of the height and pitch of the ridge, then the weight of these elements will be different. This is because with a higher profile per unit area there is a greater amount of sheet steel, and consequently, the weight of the product increases.
  4. Also, the mass of the material depends on the configuration of the wave. The profile can be of the usual wavy shape, made in a trapezoid or rectangular. So, a sheet with a wavy corrugation will have less mass than a product with a trapezoidal profile configuration.
  5. The mass of corrugated board depends on the width of the product. Moreover, it should be borne in mind that this value is indicated in two versions: full and working. The last of them is given taking into account the overlap of the sheets. According to GOST, sheets are made with a width of 64.6 cm to 106.0 cm. The manufacturer himself made sure that the wide sheets were not very heavy, therefore, the wider the sheet, the lower the wave height.

The need to determine the mass of material

The mass of the profiled product is especially important to know if you are going to cover the roof with this material. Knowing how much corrugated board weighs is necessary in order to calculate the load from the roof on the foundation, the supporting structures of the building. To fulfill necessary calculations and determine the desired values, you need to know exactly how much the profiled sheet weighs.

When choosing a roof covering, very often the choice is made in favor of a profiled product, since it is quite strong, durable and light in weight. One m2 of corrugated board (even of the largest thickness) gives a minimum load on the roof and other structures of the building. Due to the high rigidity of the metal profile, the coating will not sag and deform under snow and wind loads. Due to the low weight, the load on truss system decreases.

The highest quality corrugated board is manufactured in accordance with GOST number 24045-94. In that normative document the main dimensions of the metal profile and its mass are regulated. Each type of profiled products has its own marking. The first letter in the designation indicates the scope of the material, for example, C - wall, H - load-bearing, HC - universal. Behind letter designation followed by a number that indicates the height of the profile corrugation.

The specific gravity of the corrugated board can be found in the table below:

As can be seen from the table above, C8 corrugated board, whose weight is minimal, is the lightest among profiled sheets. In general, the weight of 1 m2 of a metal profile is not so big when compared with other roofing:

  • the weight of 1m2 of cement-sand piece tiles is 25 kg;
  • the mass of a square meter of roofing slate is 12 kg;
  • required amount natural tiles to cover one square of the roof weighs 50 kg;
  • if we compare slate roofing and corrugated board, the weight of the first coating is much larger and amounts to 52 kg.

That is why, if the question arises, what kind of easy roofing material choose in order not to unnecessarily load the truss system and the supporting structures of the building, the choice falls on the metal profile.

As you can see, among all the advantages that corrugated board has, weight and rigidity can be called the main ones. However, when choosing a roofing corrugated board, it is not necessary to give preference to a sheet with the greatest thickness. It is necessary to strike a balance of the necessary rigidity and sufficient lightness. For household and one-story structures, you can choose a product with a thickness in the range of 0.05-0.06 cm. The roof of a two-story private house can be covered with a metal profile 0.07-0.08 cm thick.
