Business and economics have interested me since childhood - since I accidentally found the book "Economy without Secrets" in my house. Even while serving in the army, I read books by Joe Vitale, Brian Tracy, Richard Branson, Napoleon Hill at night.

Last year I organized a sand animation studio that taught classes in schools in Pyatigorsk. And a little later I came across an article in a magazine about the most interesting children's circles in Moscow. For many people, the children's club is associated with a room in an old culture house with boarded up windows, where children are engaged in some boring nonsense. I had a desire to prove that a children's creative studio can be modern and commercially successful.

Once, being on business in the education committee of the mayor's office of Pyatigorsk, I looked into economic department- ask if there are any programs to support young entrepreneurs. It turned out that just at that time there was a competition for the allocation of subsidies for social entrepreneurship. I collected all the documents, it was not possible to get funding on the first attempt, but they pointed out to me the shortcomings in the application, and the second time everything worked out.

For four months we have been developing the concept of the future studio. We made repairs, painted walls, purchased furniture and office equipment, drew up training programs and got down to work. We reached payback after the first month, and from the second month they began to make a profit.

The market for developing activities is not full

Today, Happy ART studio is a modern creative center with an area of ​​70 square meters where children can engage in sand animation, painting, handicrafts, etc. We also have directions for adults, for example, art team building - conducting creative workshops for corporate clients. I will note that in our city there is a huge demand for developing creative activities; I am sure that in other cities there is also a demand for such studios.

In my opinion, despite the seeming abundance of children's clubs, the market has been realized only by 30-40%. People are willing to pay for interesting leisure activities for their children and good service... For example, we have organized a special waiting area for parents, where they can drink hot coffee with cookies, look through new magazines.

The cost of a subscription for classes in our studio depends on the age and type of occupation, the price "fork" - from 650 to 1720 rubles. Quite, in my opinion, a democratic price. To reach the break-even point, it was enough for us to attract only 10 people in each direction.

By the way, our teachers do not receive a salary, but work at a good percentage. I believe that this saves me a lot of time and effort, but the main thing is that it motivates teachers to work better and more efficiently. They themselves are the masters of their time, together they make up a schedule of classes so that it is convenient for everyone.

One of the advantages of this business is a low entry threshold. To open such a studio, it will take about 300 thousand rubles. The studio should be located in a room of at least 60 "squares", it should have a main hall and a small waiting area (10-15 square meters).

Marketing and promotion
