Which chimney is better ceramic or pumice. Choose a ceramic chimney. Brick chimney

25 May 2014 Alexei

There is something interesting and fascinating about living fire. He has been attracting a person since ancient times and is more often a friend, warming in the cold, helping to cook food and charming us with his splendor. But he can also become our enemy, breaking out of the stove or fireplace.

The burning of any fuel is accompanied by the release of smoke, inhaling which you can get poisoned. This unpleasant fact of the use of fire prompted a person to install special channels through which combustion products are removed from the dwelling.

They are made of various materials, initially only brick was used, then metal constructions. But only a ceramic chimney was able to combine in its design all the best modern developments in this industry.

Design features and principle of operation

The output from the furnace, heating boiler or fireplace of combustion products is carried out through a special design. One of the most successful models is considered a ceramic chimney. It is produced in the form of sections consisting of three layers.

by the most important element design is ceramic pipe. She is encased in of stainless steel or expanded clay concrete. Between these two components is a special insulating material.

During the installation of the chimney, individual sections are connected according to the stacking principle. It is modularity that allows the future system to acquire high flexibility in the formation of routes of complex shapes.

The principle of operation of any chimney is based on draft. This name was given to the ventilation effect resulting from the difference in air temperatures inside and outside the structure. As the height of the pipe increases, the thrust increases.

It also depends on the cross section of the channel, but this does not mean that it can increase indefinitely. There are regulations governing given value. The height of the chimney also cannot increase indefinitely. It is considered optimal - 5 m from the level of the grate.

Ceramic construction - pros and cons

Why did this design appeal to consumers so much?

  1. Firstly, the fact that it has maximum energy efficiency due to the use of mineral plates as an insulating material.
  2. Secondly, excellent traction.
  3. Thirdly, good resistance to corrosion, thanks to the system for removing condensate from pipes.

Thanks to these qualities, it has a long service life, protection from precipitation, and is able to accumulate heat.

Easy system maintenance and quick installation make it the most popular among owners of fireplaces and stoves.

However, without a “fly in the ointment” there is not a single “barrel of honey” and a ceramic chimney is no exception.

It has a number of disadvantages:

  • Significant weight
  • Can only be installed in a vertical shaft
  • High price

Products from world leaders

When choosing a chimney model, whom the consumer will trust more - well-known manufacturer or a company that has just launched production? Naturally, he will choose the first option. But why are ceramic chimneys of foreign brands so popular in the domestic market?

The answer is simple - they have very few competitors among local companies. To verify this, let's take a short comparative review the most popular models.

Ceramic systems are represented by products of foreign brands:

  • Schiedel
  • Effe2
  • Icopal

Among domestic manufacturers are:

  • Volcano

The most famous brand is Schiedel. The company's products are inexpensive, compact, easy-to-use systems suitable for bath and home stoves.

Watch a video about Shidel products:

Schiedel ceramic chimneys are almost universal, they can be used with equipment that runs on any type of fuel. The manufacturer provides a guarantee for its products for a period of 30 years, since the material from which the pipes are made does not collapse under the influence of condensate. The ceramic basis of a design maintains a heating up to 1200 °C.

The Schiedel ceramic chimney is supplied in ready-made, and connection to the stove or fireplace does not cause difficulties. Spectacular appearance does not damage the façade of the building.

Products of the German company Tona - quality products from expensive grades of clay. The structure of the pipes is obtained as homogeneous as possible, hygroscopic. The connection of individual parts is carried out using vertical couplings, which increases the tightness of the system, contributing to the reliability of the structure.

Watch a video about Tona products:

Product line German manufacturer wide enough. It has models with a diameter of 8-30 cm, with a length of modules up to 1 m. Connection of the structure to the equipment is allowed in two versions:

  • top
  • lower

Dry and wet heated gases can be discharged through Tona ceramic chimneys. The pipe is made of special ceramics and is suitable for operation with stoves running on any type of fuel. The outer contour of the structure is made of concrete.

We have considered the merits of only one of the modifications of the chimney, but the release of four has been established. And each model has its own distinctive features and is recommended for use with certain heating units.

Italian products are represented on the market by several companies. One of the most famous is Effe2.

It has a line of three modifications:

  • ceramic chimneys Effe2 Domus
  • Ultra
  • Duplex

The first option is used in combination with solid fuel stoves, the second and third - for liquid fuel boilers. All Domus ceramic chimneys are easy to install, efficient and have a 40 year guarantee.

The Polish Icopal system is a three-layer structure used to work with various heating devices. Ikopal chimneys are provided with ventilation and stabilization of ceramic channels. Notches in the mineral slabs allow for insulation around the inner ceramic pipe. Outdoor blocks - crushed concrete made by vibrocompression.

Icopal ceramic chimneys are resistant to soot fire, acids, condensate, designed to operate at temperatures from 60 to 600 ° C.

Unfortunately, domestic products cannot be presented in such a variety, but among its models there are also noteworthy ones. They are produced in accordance with European quality standards. As insulation, they use special cotton wool with a layer of up to 100 mm. It can withstand temperatures up to 750°C.

The system of internal thermal compensation protects the chimney from the expansion of metal parts during heating. Internal pipes have a secure fit and are located strictly in the center. The use of TIG technology guarantees a long and safe work chimney.

Cost, focusing on savings

Ceramic smoke removal systems are considered to be the most durable, tight, reliable. Therefore, their prices are quite high. Comparing with a brick structure, it is safe to say that its construction will be several times cheaper. But at the same time, investments in chimneys of the Ecoosmose brand of ceramic type will pay off much faster, and no model can compare with them in terms of operating time.

It turns out that the most cost-effective option is to purchase just such a design, despite the high price.

Products that conquered the consumer

A well-made smoke removal system should be strong, durable, and, if possible, be made of natural materials. All these qualities characterize Effe2 ceramic chimneys, reviews fully confirm this.

Among their other advantages, consumers note:

  1. Ease of installation
  2. Strength of materials in relation to the environment
  3. Machine warm-up
  4. Ability to withstand static loads

All these qualities ensure long service life of the equipment without maintenance and repairs.

Brick houses are built infrequently today: too hard to find good master And suitable material. Much more in demand are systems from ready-made elements (modules), which allow you to assemble a smoke “main” in one or two days. For many years, pipes made of steel and ceramics have competed on the market. The former are usually guaranteed for no more than 10 years, and the latter for up to 30 years (while the actual service life of ceramic pipes exceeds 50 years). Indeed, pottery is more resistant to impact. high temperatures and caustic smoke condensate, however, they cost 2.5–3 times more than steel ones and, moreover, are extremely demanding on the quality of installation. Such a significant increase in costs will justify itself only with a responsible approach to choosing a system and strict adherence to the rules for assembling the structure.

An outdoor chimney is preferred in terms of fire safety and save space, but requires better insulation and weather protection/

Types of ceramic chimneys

Thin-walled products of the Kerastar system are equipped with a stainless steel casing at the factory. Photo: Schiedel

Ceramic chimneys are represented on the Russian market by products from ECOTON, EFFE2, Schiedel, TONA and Wolfshöher Tonwerke. ECOTON, Schiedel and TONA offer complete insulated sandwich systems. Wolfshöher Tonwerke produces only fireclay pipes and glue for them - both are used by small manufacturers and assembly firms. EFFE2 products stand apart, with which we will begin the review.

Chimney made of ceramic modules

Chimney made of ceramic modules (EFFE2 ULTRA, EFFE2 DOMUS). It consists of elements of a complex cross section- with inner and outer walls and radial bridges. The working channel can be round (diameter 120–300 mm), oval or rectangular; the outer section of the pipe is only rectangular.

The Tona Tec Las system (a) is designed for high pressure flue gases and is intended for heat generators and boilers that use liquid and gaseous fuels. Insulated system Tona Tec Plus (b) is suitable for boilers, stoves and fireplaces running on any type of fuel. Main elements of chimneys: 1 - working channel; 2 - concrete casing; 3 - connection module; 4 - revision; 5 - condensate receiver. Photo: TONA

The small mass of the structure (about 27 kg / linear m with a channel diameter of 140 mm) makes it possible to do without a foundation; Surface-mounted installation (supported by a brick or block oven) or installation on a wall console is also possible.

The main disadvantage of a chimney made of all-ceramic modules is associated with insufficient thermal insulation of the internal duct for Russian conditions and, as a result, abundant, especially if equipment with a low flue gas temperature is used (condensing boiler). You have to purchase an additional heat-insulating casing made of pressed stone wool for plastering or independently assemble an insulating box (for example, from gypsum fiber sheets with filling basalt wool). Another problem is the relatively low strength of the structure: it must be placed inside a pre-designed shaft, lined with bricks or reinforced with steel corners.

Pros and cons of a ceramic modular chimney

Advantages Flaws

Resistant to moisture and acids, compatible with equipment operating on gaseous, liquid and solid fuels.

Demanding on the quality of installation. Pipes are quite fragile and can crack if improperly and carelessly assembled.

Withstands short-term exposure to temperatures above 1000 ° C (soot fire in the pipe).

Models with a concrete casing need solid foundation(usually on your own foundation).

Helps to minimize the amount of flue condensate; compatible with devices for collecting and draining condensate.

Difficulty in repair and replacement. Partial or complete dismantling of such a chimney in an equipped dwelling is difficult.

Eliminates the possibility of leakage of flue gases into the premises, some systems are able to work with overpressure gases (gas tight systems).

Two-channel systems provide and allow you to organize the supply of combustion air.

Chimney with concrete casing

A chimney with a concrete casing (for example, ECOTON S-block, Schiedel UNI, TONA TEC) is a three-layer “sandwich”: the inner ceramic pipe is wrapped with heat-insulating material and enclosed in a shell of hollow claydite-concrete blocks. The casing not only performs a protective and decorative function, but also gives stability to the structure. Such a chimney can only be root: it is installed next to the heating unit on a common or separate foundation.

Pipe wall thickness different manufacturers varies from 4 to 6 mm; this setting has no effect on performance characteristics construction, however, thin-walled products require more care during transport and assembly. The accuracy of the manufacture of sockets is very important, which affects the consumption of the mounting solution and the tightness of the joints.

As thermal insulation, ordinary flexible stone wool mats or ready-made "shells" of the same material, but with a higher density, can be used. The latter are preferred in terms of durability and ease of installation, but cost 40% more.

In the concrete elements of the casing, holes must be provided for vertical reinforcing bars, which ensure the strength of the masonry. When installed outside the building, the casing should be plastered and painted. facade paint.

In the upper part of the chimney, they are especially carefully insulated using expanded clay gravel (its advantage is low water absorption) or ready-made mineral wool clips. Photo: Red Roofs

Chimney with metal casing

A chimney with a metal casing (for example, Schiedel Kerastar) is still the same warm “sandwich”, but designed for wall mounting. It is able to withstand street use and does not need finishing ( outer pipe made of polished stainless steel). Another advantage of such systems is the ability to assemble a chimney of complex configuration, bypass rafters and other obstacles (due to the presence of 15, 30 and 60 ° bends).

The shell above the roof is made of reinforced concrete or sheet steel, imitating brickwork; an umbrella is made of steel or copper. Photo: Red Roofs

Chimney installation

The main difficulty in installing ceramic is due to the fact that the design always includes steel elements - an inlet pipe, a cleaning door, and sometimes also a gate, wall mounting brackets and clamps. Since steel has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than ceramic, joints should be made with a gap of 2–5 mm, using asbestos cord or elastic heat-resistant sealant to seal the joints (Fischer DFS GR, PENOSIL 1500 °C, etc.).

Tiled stoves and fireplaces are often equipped with a mounted ceramic chimney, which not only serves as an interior decoration, but also allows more efficient use of heat from the appliance. Photo: Godin

Pottery pipes during installation are glued with special silicate glue. In this case, it is necessary to carefully remove excess working solution, especially from the inner surface of the channel, which must be perfectly smooth, otherwise the pipe will quickly become clogged with soot. Concrete casing modules are laid on cement glue. Since the height of the elements is small, it is necessary to constantly control the verticality of the chimney using a plumb line or a laser level.

Fire clearance from the inner walls of the pipe to unprotected wooden structures must be at least 500 mm; to closed with a heat-insulating screen (mineral wool + steel) - 380 mm.

Finally, it is very important to correctly select and carefully install the head, consisting of a cover plate (usually concrete) and a metal deflector umbrella. The plate must hermetically close the gap between the working channel and the casing. After all, if the insulation in the upper part of the pipe becomes damp, the draft will deteriorate sharply (it may even tip over) and the amount of condensate will increase. An improperly manufactured deflector can also cause traction problems. In this regard, it is better to purchase a cap from the manufacturer of the chimney, even if it costs more than one made on site or ordered from a third-party workshop.

during construction or overhaul country house inevitably have to decide on the choice of chimney. It is necessary to ensure high-quality removal of combustion products during operation of the stove, fireplace or boiler. If earlier only traditional brick structures were used in houses, today you can find a lot of interesting and practical offers on the market. However, ceramic chimneys differ in the most competitive properties.

Most often, companies involved in the sale and installation of pipes for chimneys offer their customers a choice of three types, which differ primarily in material:

  1. brick;
  2. Ceramic;
  3. Steel.

Brick chimneys are considered traditional solution, since this material has been used for the manufacture of pipes for a very long time. However, the heterogeneous surface structure, gradually leading to the formation of excess soot and "blockage", gradually reduces the demand for brick chimneys in the construction of houses.

Chimneys made of stainless steel are modular solutions, that is, they are easy and quick to install, versatile and do not require additional work when installing. However, they do not withstand temperatures above 550 degrees, which does not allow them to be used to remove some of the gaseous products of combustion.

Ceramic chimneys are practically devoid of disadvantages. They are distinguished by a huge species diversity, that is, they are most widely used in home improvement.

Ceramic chimneys are becoming increasingly popular in the construction of houses due to a complex of unique properties.

Advantages of ceramic chimneys

The ceramic chimney pipe has the following excellent characteristics:

  • Resistant to sudden changes in temperature;
  • Able to withstand heat up to 1000 degrees;
  • Resistant to corrosion;
  • Resistant to deformation;
  • Easy to install;
  • Universal - suitable for all types of boilers, stoves, fireplaces;
  • Has a high gas density;
  • Waterproof;
  • It perfectly accumulates heat, that is, it cools slowly;
  • Resistant to fluorine compounds;
  • Not affected by condensation
  • Differs in a smooth surface of internal surfaces;
  • Has a service life of up to 30 years.

Important ! Ceramic chimneys are recognized as the safest design among similar solutions.

But there are no products without "flaws". For ceramic products, the disadvantages are increased fragility, high weight and the need for additional work during installation. However, it is worth noting that the advantages outweigh the minor disadvantages of ceramic pipes.

Ceramic chimneys can be mounted both outside and inside buildings

Design features

The structure of the chimney has several elements, which are arranged as follows (from the center to the outer edge):

  • Cylindrical ceramic tube;
  • Thermal insulation, which consists of two halves and easily bends around the pipe;
  • Concrete shell - a stone block in which the main structure is placed;
  • Reinforcing rods, the task of which is to fix the structure more tightly and give it additional rigidity.

In addition, the kit must contain elements for installation on top of the finished chimney. Their task includes:

  • Accumulation of excess fluid and its removal;
  • Wind and weather protection;
  • Making it possible Maintenance pipes and cleaning;
  • Boiler connection.

Important ! In order not to have to climb the roof during the cold months to service the chimney, it is recommended to provide additional “doors” at the installation stage through which the pipe will be inspected and cleaned.

The standard structure of a ceramic chimney consists of a pipe, an insulating material and a stone block.

Basic installation principles

After the acquisition and delivery of all elements of the future chimney, it is worth checking their integrity and completeness. After that, you can proceed to the installation process, carefully following the manufacturer's instructions.

Installation of ceramic chimneys is carried out from the bottom up. The steps are carried out in a certain order:

  1. Preparation of the base, which is the base of the chimney, a container for collecting condensate, a tee for connecting the chimney to the boiler, fireplace or stove system and a tee for inspecting and cleaning the interior.

    Important ! Proprietary ceramic tees are expensive and often only available on special order. You can replace them with metal counterparts, which are available in all specialized stores.

  2. Assembly of the main ceramic pipe system.
  3. Assembly of the final set.

It is worth noting that manufacturers offer pipes different lengths, and more often the buyer stops at the universal value of one meter. The objective reason for this choice is less work on connecting elements and relative savings when buying. However, during the installation itself, problems may begin, since important condition quality assembly is the careful smoothing of the joint sealant along inner space pipes. In order to perform this work exemplarily on meter pipes, it is worthwhile to purchase in advance a piston of a suitable diameter, designed for such manipulations.

Correct parameters roof chimney outlets

Also, the installation of ceramic chimneys implies strict adherence to permissive indents relative to other elements of the house under construction.

For the height of the chimney above the roof of the house, the parameters should be as follows:

  1. For flat roofs - at least 120 cm;
  2. For pitched roofs:
  • when the pipe is located 1.5 meters from the ridge - the elevation above it is at least 50 cm;
  • when the pipe is located 3.0 meters from the ridge - not lower than its level;
  • when the pipe is located more than 3.0 meters from the ridge - not lower than an imaginary line, which is located 10 degrees below the level of the ridge in relation to the horizon.

Important ! Often used for roofing roofing materials with high combustion rates. In this case, it is necessary to lift the ceramic chimney 1.5 meters above the ridge line.

The height of the ceramic chimney pipe is strictly regulated

Step-by-step installation of a ceramic chimney

So, we proceed directly to the process of installing a ceramic chimney:

  1. We prepare the base. The main requirement for this stage is to ensure a strictly horizontal flat surface.
  2. On the base with cement mortar we install a module that will further ensure the connection of the ceramic chimney to the main system of the fireplace or boiler.
  3. We prepare a solution for seams. This is an acid-resistant composition made from a dry mixture of a special sealant. The proportions of dilution with water are usually one to seven.
  4. We install a tee on the module and seal the joints with the prepared solution.
  5. We mount the remaining straight elements of the chimney structure. Do not forget to carefully coat the seams with a solution.

Important ! It is necessary to avoid getting the joints of the chimney pipe into the intersection with the floor slabs. If this cannot be avoided, then it is worth taking care of additional insulation with non-combustible materials.

It is better to entrust the installation of a ceramic chimney to professionals who know all the features of the installation technology

"Secrets" of experienced craftsmen

Like any difficult job, the installation of chimneys using ceramic pipes has its own characteristics:

  1. The total height of the chimney must exceed five meters.
  2. When erecting wooden house future shrinkage must be taken into account, otherwise the structure of the chimney may be damaged.
  3. The joints of all joints of ceramic pipes must be accessible for inspection.
  4. When passing a ceramic chimney through unheated rooms (attic), you should take care of additional insulation.
  5. The ceramic pipe must be attached to the walls and corners with clamps.
  6. Pipes on the roof of the house, whose height is more than 1.2 meters, must have an additional fastening element in the form of stretch marks.

In addition, ceramic chimneys require mandatory maintenance twice a year, which includes:

  • Checking all elements for tightness;
  • Traction check;
  • Cleaning of soot from the internal surfaces of pipes.

Scheduled chimney cleaning

Only professional approach

If some work in a house under construction can be carried out independently, then this type of activity should be entrusted only to professional builders. There are too many nuances that are not known to amateurs, you need to know and take into account in this work. Any mistake made can not only destroy all installed structures, but also create dangerous situations for the life and health of people living in the house.

Ceramic chimneys installed by professionals are a cozy and safe warmth in a new home.

The chimney in the house can be with various functions. It is mounted to ensure the removal of smoke from a fireplace, a stationary stove. Chimneys are also laid out to remove combustion products when gas heating. If previously such structures were built from red, now they are used for chimneys.

Main characteristics of ceramic chimneys

In such products, the main thing is a long service life. All manufacturers give a guarantee of 30 years for their ceramic chimneys.

Important. Despite this indicator, a ceramic chimney has a service life of about 100 years.

A distinctive feature of this product is that it has excellent technical properties and characteristics.

So, a ceramic chimney has:

  • resistance to weather and climatic phenomena;
  • the ability to withstand both fairly high and low temperatures;
  • durability;
  • practicality;
  • wear resistance;
  • small weight.

The last indicator of technical characteristics favorably affects the construction process, since the ceramic chimney does not exert additional loads on the structure.

Advice. Even with a small mass, ceramic ones must be mounted on a specific foundation. This will give the overall stability of the entire structure.

Disadvantages of this product

All of the above refers to the advantages of ceramic chimneys. As disadvantages, fragility and a small mass can be noted, although the latter indicator will also easily become an advantage in construction.

Shape of ceramic chimneys

At the moment, all chimneys of this type are made only in a round shape. The surface of the product is smooth both inside and outside. This allows high-quality removal of smoke and a variety of combustion products. Also, pipes, thanks to such a surface, do not often become clogged.

Advice. Despite this, it is still necessary to regularly clean the ceramic chimney from soot and leaves that have fallen into it.

Technical characteristics of ceramic chimneys

The walls of the ceramic chimney can be 15 mm thick. In some cases, there are models with a wall thickness of 4 mm. Any ceramic chimney has its own design. It consists of:

  • ceramic pipe;
  • insulation;
  • exterior stone finish.

Pipes are connected with couplings.

Important. You can simply purchase a ceramic chimney pipe, insulate it yourself and ennoble it from the outside. And you can immediately buy ready-made chimneys based on ceramic pipes.

How to choose the right ceramic chimney

At the moment, the market for such products has a wide range of. All ceramic chimneys differ not only in their cost, but also in their individual technical characteristics:

  • wall thickness;
  • length and so on.

There are also various manufacturers of these products.

Important. As a rule, the seller says the cost of a ceramic pipe separately from a heater and a stone box. This is a lie. The price of ceramic chimneys is set completely for all its elements.

The most popular companies of ceramic chimneys

Among the many manufacturers of ceramic pipes for chimneys, only two are very popular:

  • Schiedel.
  • Effe2.

In some respects there is a similarity between these products, and in some respects there are differences.

Chimney from Schiedel

Schiedel ceramic chimneys have excellent properties and characteristics. The manufacturer produces ceramic three-layer pipe which is insulated mineral wool, a stone block is installed on top of it.

This product is distinguished by its versatility and originality of its design. That is, ceramic will not spoil the external design of a building of any type.

The main advantage of this company's ceramic chimneys is that these structures can be installed at a distance of 5 cm from any flammable surface. The safety of using the product is ensured by a non-standard metal plate, which protects the chimney from overheating and prevents nearby buildings from igniting.

The Schiedel chimney pipe is light in weight and diameter. That is, during its installation there will be no problems, it will not clutter up the external space. Pipes can be built-in or external.

Important. In some cases, buyers try not to purchase ceramic chimneys due to their high cost. All of these are false statements. The price of such products is low.

Effe2 chimneys

The Effe2 ceramic chimney consists of several elements:

  • pipe;
  • condensate receiver;
  • construction with an inspection door;
  • element with a hole for connecting equipment;
  • cover plate;
  • profile for the manufacture of a profile;
  • heater and so on.

These are the basic building blocks.

Chimneys of this company have high fire resistance and the ability to work under the influence of a temperature of 600 degrees. The tightness of the chimney structure will be high level. The service life of this product is at least 40 years. Also, ceramic chimneys from this manufacturer are corrosion resistant and light in weight.

Important. You can mount this type of product on the console. A specific foundation for the chimney is not required.

Eat a large number of additional elements to help install ceramic chimneys. Installation is quick and easy. If there are irregularities in the walls of the building, or the chimney rests against the rafter roof structure, then you can turn the pipe in any direction and at any angle.

Important. The main thing is that all these actions comply with the established safety measures for the use of a chimney structure.

in the structure of any company

Installation of a ceramic chimney is easy to perform. The main thing in them is to observe safety precautions and correctly perform all actions. Initially, you need to make a console. This element will be the base for the chimney.

Important. The size of such a base must correspond to the insulation and finishing material.

Next, a condensate collector is installed. Then a ceramic pipe is mounted in it. All connections of this pipe must be sealed with special means. Then carry out work on the insulation and external improvement of the chimney. It can be a ready-made stone box of a certain company. It is also possible to make a box yourself out of brick or use fire-resistant drywall for this. Its surface can be lined with natural or decorative stone from the outside.

German smoke exhaust systems are of high quality, reliability and good thermal performance. Tona chimneys are a clear confirmation of this statement.

Tona products are distinguished by thoughtful design, the use of HEIGHTECH (special structure) ceramics, as well as a wide range of accessories offered to the consumer.

About Tona

The German manufacturer of chimney pipes Tona has existed since 1891. From the very beginning of the company's existence, the consumer has been offered high-quality ceramic pipes. The whole process, from the harvesting of clay to obtaining finished products controlled by company employees.

Tona has its own quarry, which allows us to reject second-rate clay and constantly monitor the quality of raw materials.

Ceramic chimneys from Germany Tona are manufactured using the HEIGHTECH method, which ensures high strength, heat resistance of the structure, with relatively low weight.

Advantages of the HEIGHTTECH solution:

  1. Acid resistance.
  2. Smaller wall thickness and, accordingly, weight.
  3. Reducing the number of joints.
  4. Fast and uniform heating of the structure.
Tona chimneys are optimally suited for all operating conditions. If necessary, you can use systems for baths, fireplaces, boilers running on gas, liquid or solid fuels.

Types of chimney pipes Tona

Tona smoke extraction systems offered to the consumer have the following characteristics:
  • Dimensions - the consumer is offered pipes with a diameter of 80 to 300 mm, a length of 500 and 1000 mm.
  • Type - systems with top and bottom connections are provided for connection.
  • Design features- the company offers one and two-way pipes with ventilation duct and without it.
The Tona range of smoke exhaust systems includes four basic modifications.

Three-component pipes Tona tec iso

The Tona tec iso chimney system is designed to be connected to heating appliances, regardless of the type of fuel used and the principle of operation. The main features and technical characteristics of pipes are:

Provided top and bottom connection boiler to Tona tec iso. The system is designed for indoor and outdoor installation. To seal the joints, a special mineral-based sealant is used.

Two-component chimneys of the Tona tec system

Tona tec ceramic chimneys are a two-component system for the removal of flue gases with heating temperatures up to 600°C. Depending on the type of boiler, the joints are sealed with mineral (KIT) or silicone sealant. The use of KIT makes it possible to withstand the maximum surface heating up to 1000°C without depressurization of the system.

Tona tec two-piece ceramic pipe has various characteristics and purpose, depending on the sealant used:

  • Cerasecur is a silicone base used for low temperature heating units. Ideally suited for connection to a condensing gas boiler. Use for any equipment with the closed combustion chamber is allowed. Maximum operating temperature 160°C.
  • KIT is a mineral base, the parameters are calculated for operation at a temperature of 400°C. Short-term heating up to 600°C is allowed. It is used when operating with liquid fuel and gas boilers with a closed and open combustion chamber.
The Tona tec ceramic chimney with two channels is supplied with a special outer shell made from lightweight concrete. Sealant is selected independently.

The Tona tec two-way chimney with ventilation is the optimal solution for rooms with limited space and insufficient air circulation. During the operation of the boiler, oxygen from the street is burned, which enters the boiler room through the ventilation duct.

Chimneys with stainless steel casing Tona star

Ceramic chimney pipes with stainless steel outer sheath Tona star are popular due to their simplicity and lightness of construction, as well as good appearance.

Modification features:

Real German Tona star chimney systems, unlike fakes, have an internal ceramic layer. On individual branches, adapters and revision elbows, the company logo is embossed.

Chimneys series Tona tec san

Installation of Tona tec san ceramic chimney pipes allows you to repair an existing channel or to refurbish the system. The series has technical specifications, allowing you to use it in the following cases:

The removal of condensate, which is formed in a small amount, is carried out thanks to a special condensate drain system. Installation of the pipe is carried out by means of installation in an existing chimney.

Features of the installation of chimney pipes Tona

The technical documentation supplied with the Tona Fume Extraction Kits provides installation instructions. Depending on the selected modification, the connection features may differ slightly.

Before the beginning installation work it is necessary to carefully study the recommendations of the manufacturer and take into account the existing SNiP, as well as fire safety requirements.

Foundation requirements for Tona pipes

Tona tec and Tona tec iso systems are distinguished by their high weight due to the outer shell (blocks) made of porous concrete. Before installing the modifications, you will need to make a foundation for the installation of expanded clay concrete blocks.
  1. Exceeded the dimensions of the blocks by at least 20 cm.
  2. It was monolithic, reinforced.

The Tona star and Tona san systems are lighter and can therefore be mounted on a support bracket. There is no need to make a foundation.

Rules for organizing the passage of overlap

The norms associated with the passage of the overlap are clearly specified in the SNiP. In particular, it specifies safe distances from the chimney to combustible materials. For double insulated pipes, minimum distance to wooden surface be at least 3 cm.

When installing single-wall smoke exhaust systems, it will be necessary to increase the gap to 5 cm. The distance from the tree to the chimney is filled with non-combustible mineral insulation.

When installed via concrete plates, fire safety clearance is not required. But, the diameter of the hole is expanded by several centimeters to facilitate installation and thermal expansion.

Tona chimney installation wooden house requires special care. Pipes should not be closer than 1 meter from the supporting structures.

How is the output through the roof
