Abandoned buildings, bomb shelters, military facilities, dead equipment. Abandoned bunker in the village of Voronovo

During the Soviet era, nuclear bunkers were distributed throughout the country. One of the largest such secret objects - "Object 221" or "Burrow". This object was actually a reserve command post of the Black Sea Fleet, and it was actually supposed to be a reserve command post only in Peaceful time... During the war, it was here that the command of the fleet was to be located, and combat operations were controlled.

The largest building

The "Object 221" is located near Sevastopol, near the village of Morozovka. The highway that reaches this village has a continuation, but the road is blocked, it is heaped with stones, the road in the literal sense of the word is "dug up". Of course, such precautions are not accidental, it is thanks to such an obstacle course that those who really want to get to the Emergency Command Center will be forced to walk, becoming light target for snipers, who, in an emergency, were supposed to be on duty along the road.

Interestingly, for travelers who have lost their way, a different version of the place to which the road leads has been prepared. “Object 221” was usually called a stone quarry, and the workers who were engaged in its construction were also called it - they went to the development of a stone quarry, that's all. The construction of this underground city began in 1977. The dimensions of the "Object 221" really amaze the imagination: its depth is more than 200 meters, at a great depth there are four floors and two main entrances to the bunker. total area of this underground structure - seventeen and a half thousand square meters, in terms of area it is the largest underground structure in the Crimea.

Invisible construction site

It seems incredible that the construction of Object 221 was carried out in complete secrecy. Construction began in 1977 and lasted about 15 years, work continued until 1992. In 1992, the project was "frozen", while its readiness was ninety percent. All that had to be done in order to complete the project was to bring in the equipment necessary for life in the bunker and carry out the facing work. The builders for the facility were specially selected, a construction team was formed, consisting of builders who had experience working on structures for concreting mines that serve as ballistic missiles. Near the "Nora" was Mount Gasfort, on which, especially in order to secretly transport the extracted rock, a crushed stone plant was built. This was done so that from the satellite of the enemy of the Soviet Union only the plant and various civilian structures could be seen on this territory.

In addition, a special "bogus building" was built, also designed to deceive the enemy's satellite. During the construction years, this building was usually called a hotel for factory workers or a hotel. But to judge that the building is a dummy, we are helped by the facade of the building, which has been preserved in a fairly good condition: the windows in it are located very close to each other, and there are no flights of stairs at all, although the building is multi-storey. And the entrances themselves (there are two of them) to "Object 221" were also disguised as civilian buildings, although they are only concrete slabs, with windows painted on them in black paint. At the same time, you can take this concrete slab for a building only if you approach it from the front, as soon as you step aside, you will see that there is no building, and the entrance is just a giant flat concrete slab with painted fake windows.

Creation plan

The first site was held by a team of miners led by Brigadier Tikhonov. The main problem during construction was the need to calculate the position for a large number of people, an information and computing center, a communications center, which was supposed to provide the transfer of information to anywhere in the world, should have been located underground, as well as autonomous system life support. On one tier it was necessary to place tanks for fuel and water, an electrical supply system, an air production system and ventilation, a medical center. And among other things, the kitchen and dining room were to be located here.

In addition to the underground part of the bunker, there was also an overground part of it - it was a military city. Security workers and technical personnel could live in it. This residential town also had everything necessary for life: there were barracks, a boiler room. A vegetable store and a water supply system with preliminary treatment of the incoming water were built. For the construction of this town, a new construction detachment was formed, the head of which was Major Yuri Reva, who at one time graduated from a special school for the construction of the Northern Fleet. For many military men, it was an honor to get into the tunneling brigade of the next level of the bunker. Three blocks were drilled in the mountain range, to which horizontal passages, called "posterns", led.

The last stages of construction

An important stage in the construction of the "Object 221" was the waterproofing of the premises located underground. It was even developed special technology for sealing seams during welding, as well as metal insulation. X-rays were used to check the quality of the seam and its water resistance. All construction was carried out strictly secretly, throughout the entire construction various dummy equipment was exhibited and even false apiaries and roads were laid. Also, large-scale work was carried out to reorganize the relief.

The construction of the Reserve Command Post was supervised by the head of the construction department of the Black Sea Fleet, Major General L. Shumilov. Other no less famous officials, such as Deputy Defense Minister N. Shestopalov and Admiral of the Fleet N. Khovrin, constantly visited the construction site. Mining works, the most difficult in the whole construction, were completed in 1987. After that began internal installation premises, laying ventilation shafts and cable lines... But due to the collapse of the Soviet Union, construction was stopped in 1992. At the same time, Ukraine, an independent state on whose territory the object was located, declared itself a nuclear-free state, which means that it became unnecessary and not profitable to continue the construction of such an object. After 1992, all guards were removed from the facility and Nora was subjected to large-scale robberies, mostly looters were interested in any metal parts and structures that could be scrapped.

"Object 221" today

Now "Object 221" is completely plundered and ruined and is a popular place for extreme tourism lovers and metal hunters. Tourists drew up a plan-diagram of the buildings of "object 221", which became a guide for those who wanted to experience thrill and feel the spirit of construction during the Cold War.

Now this object can pose a real danger. There are a large number of empty shafts, holes, fittings sticking out of the floor. The inside of the abandoned buildings is very damp, as many of the premises are located on land with a large amount of groundwater. In addition to the damp climate, the formation of a fungus can also be noted, which develops in a damp and warm environment.

Recently I found out about an unfinished half-flooded military bunker in Khlyupino (Odintsovo district of Moscow oblast).

And this bunker is almost next to my dacha. There will be 15 kilometers on the highway. You can walk on foot! And so, when the rainy autumn of 2013 turned out to be a fine day, and it happened on September 18, I decided to hit the road. He hesitated for a long time - whether to go on a moped or get to Khlyupino by train, inspect the bunker, and then return to the dacha on foot along the forest paths? An interesting route was planned: Khlyupino - Nazaryevo - Matveykovo - SNT Larks , where my dacha is located (more precisely, garden plot). I have long wanted to see the forest between Khlyupino and Nazarevo. In addition, one could try to collect mushrooms along the way ... As a result, the second option was chosen.

WAR TOWN IN Khlyupino
So, the moped stayed to rest in the barn, and I went to the Zhavoronki station. I got on the train at about 9 am, and after 20 minutes I was already in Khlyupino. Just a few stops to go. The bunker is located a few hundred meters from the station. For those who, like me, will decide, just like me, to go to the bunker by train in the Belarusian direction, I recommend getting off the last car of the train, crossing the railway tracks and walking along the path approximately to the southeast. In some places this trail is lined with concrete slabs. It is impossible to get lost - directly from the station you can see the buildings of an abandoned military town, where the bunker is located.

Before going to the actual bunker, I decided to inspect other structures.

Water tower.

What is it? Garages? Auto repair shop? Weight?
Some clarity on this issue appeared after someone Dmitry wrote to me in the fall of 2015. Dmitry, according to him, spent all his childhood in these places. So, according to Dmitry's information, this is a former electrical control room! True, it turns out some kind of painfully huge switchboard, but let's believe the native of these places.

And here, according to the same Dmitry, were stored packages with some kind of filters. I initially took this building for a garage.

The purpose of this building remained unclear to me. Maybe the headquarters of the unit?

What are these two brick booths - I also did not understand.

Along the perimeter, the military town was surrounded, of course, by a fence. In some places the reinforced concrete fence has already collapsed, but, somewhere, it is still holding on.

On the way to the "five-story building" there is a checkpoint.

Based on the painted walls inside, this is the only building on the campus that has been fully completed.

I'll tell you more about the "five-story building". Each floor has end-to-end corridors throughout the entire floor. Judging by this layout, the building was intended for an officer's hostel.

Through the eastern entrance you can get to the attic.

Nice view from the roof!
General view of the military town.

A ruined bunker is visible to the southwest.

From the east and southeast, a forest approaches the five-story building almost closely.

However, birches are already growing on the roof of the five-story building ...

Why “sand”? What's the jargon?

On the western end of the building there is the same "sand", only in Latin letters, and the inscription "zerko", no less mysterious for me. And then, and another word in one and a half meter letters. Who and why tried so hard, worn out so much paint - it is not clear.

By the way, have you noticed how significantly the quality of photos differs? The sun then came out, then again hid behind the clouds. Therefore, the pictures differ so much in contrast and saturation.

A good road paved with concrete slabs goes from the five-story building to the bunker.

There is another checkpoint near the road. Judging by the height, the checkpoint was intended for inspecting vehicles with cargo leaving the bunker.

OWN BUNKER

You can get into the bunker from the north end. The bunker has two floors. You can only see the top one. The lower one is partially flooded.

Here it is - the northern entrance to the bunker. Inside view.

The northern part of the bunker begins with well-preserved premises. There are no windows in the concrete cells, so I had to use a flash when photographing.

Wall painting - circles, dashes ...

The farther south, the more ruins and the brighter.

In some places, vegetation has already appeared in the bunker ...

Hatches to the lower floor. View from above.

And again the ruins of the upper floor ...

In the foreground is a real reinforced concrete swing!

Suddenly you come across quite decent graffiti.

If you believe this inscription, construction was underway here back in the 90s.

And this is the graduate schoolchildren.

It resembles a picture in a frame. Only the frame is reinforced concrete.

Judging by the abundance of cable glands in the wall, there should have been an electrical control room here.

In the southern part of the bunker, the destruction is much greater. Almost everywhere instead of concrete slabs overhead the sky.

The southernmost part of the bunker is unfinished.

It seems that construction was abandoned not so long ago, about 20 years ago, and the scale of the destruction is amazing. It was as if a bunker had been bombed before leaving. If the walls are still standing, then floor slabs have often collapsed, or even crumbled into pieces. At first, I thought it was all about low-quality concrete, the production of which saved a lot on cement. But, looking closely at the floor slabs, I decided that it was probably not the quality of the slabs. Above the collapsed floor slabs, protruding semicircles of reinforcement are clearly visible.

Obviously, a concrete pad had to be poured over the laid floor slabs, after which the structure would acquire the necessary rigidity. And they made such a pillow on the top floor of the bunker only in its northern part. So the southern, unfinished part is being destroyed. And it is especially intense, most likely in winter. Water gets into the slightest cracks in concrete slabs, freezes and breaks the concrete. Also, the snow from above presses on the slabs. However, if I'm wrong, let the civil engineers correct me.

In the pit, around the southern part of the bunker, a pretty pond has formed.

The water is clear and it is clear that the pond is no more than 1.5 - 2 m deep. Consequently, there are no “minus second” floors at the bunker, as some romantic-minded comrades believe. The bunker has only two floors! After the completion of construction, the walls of the lower one were to be covered with earth completely, the walls of the upper one - partially. The bunker was to be entered from the southern end.
This photo shows the entryways of the first floor.

On the second floor, apparently, there should have been the same openings for the gate. Plus - an access overpass.

The purpose of the bunker. There are various opinions on the purpose of the bunker on the Internet. This is a storage for air defense missiles, and a vegetable store, and a warehouse for finished products of a nearby linoleum plant. After inspecting the bunker, all these versions seem to me very doubtful. The missile depot version is perhaps the most exciting, but the size of the chambers in the bunker is too small for air defense missiles. : o (Vegetable storage bunker also reminds very weakly. I was repeatedly in the 70s - 80s and in Moscow vegetable bases sponsored by the institute where I worked, and in collective farm vegetable stores. I have never seen the division of vegetable storage into such small compartments as In addition, let me remind you that the bunker is not on its own, but on the territory of a military town! A specialized military vegetable store in the Moscow Military District? I have never heard of such people. On the contrary, when I had to work at the sponsored Kirovsky regional vegetable base, I repeatedly observed how army trucks with black numbers were loaded on our completely civilian facility with potatoes and cabbage. Maybe somewhere in the far north there are large specialized army vegetable bases, but hardly in the Moscow region. The third version - the warehouse of the linoleum plant also looks incredible. There is a lot of free space around the plant, so why would you need to build a warehouse already a few hundred meters from the plant and, moreover wok, partially burying it in the ground? Not to mention that the warehouse of a civilian linoleum plant on the territory of a military town is some kind of nonsense!
The most plausible information seems to be that the location of food warehouses of the so-called "NZ" was planned in the bunker. ... Everything is logical here - both the architecture of the building, which is ideal for storing boxes with food, and the location of the bunker on the territory of a military town. Finally, the additional weight of this version is given by the fact that its author, as he himself claims, served on the construction of this facility in 1988-1990.

As a tourist attraction, an abandoned military town in Khlyupino I can fully recommend. It was quite interesting to walk between buildings, trying to determine their purpose. As if you are solving a crossword puzzle. Transport accessibility is ideal. Near railway station and highway. The town, including the bunker, is quite safe to visit. Unless, of course, you try to run along the remnants of walls or jump on dilapidated concrete slabs overlappings. During my stay in the town I did not meet anyone - neither people nor animals. Although, I do not exclude that on weekends and, especially in the evenings, it is relatively crowded here. Including the local “golden youth” possibly “hanging out” with beer and vodka.

In conclusion, I will say that, in my opinion, this abandoned unfinished military town is just some kind of concentrated embodiment of the absurdity of our reality. I still understand when military camps in the far north are being abandoned. There, houses that are quite suitable for habitation may simply not be needed by anyone due to the low population density. But in the near Moscow region? It is 5 minutes walk from the unfinished "five-story building" to the Khlyupino station. An hour by train - and you are at the Belorussky railway station. Near the highway. Whether by bus or by your own car, Moscow is “within reach”. Around the forest, not far from the Moskva River. The "five-story building" is almost completed. Change the internal layout a little, make separate apartments and even those on the waiting list for social. lend them to hiring, at least sell them at a reasonable price to everyone. Wouldn't anyone want to live in such an attractive place? But no. The "five-story building" is empty and is slowly crumbling. Also with the bunker. Let's say a missile silo is probably difficult to convert into a civilian facility. But the bunker is, in essence, an ordinary warehouse! Finish and store in it, if not an army "nz", then any other boxes with goods. Near the highway A-107, Railway... But the bunker has almost collapsed, although logistics centers are being built and built around Moscow.
Involuntarily I recall, as in Soviet time Some intellectual, sent to a sponsored vegetable base and seeing a potato lying underfoot, solemnly proclaimed: "There is no owner!" It meant that where there is an "owner" - that is, the domination of private property, any nut, any carrot will not be lost, but put into business. But then the "owner" came and the Moscow region was covered with ruins, towering among the uninhabited fields.

FOREST ROADS FROM HLYUPINO TO NAZARIEVO AND, FURTHER, TO MATVEYKOVO

The inspection of the military town was finished by 11 o'clock and went through the forests to the village of Nazaryevo. I thought that I would have to look for half-overgrown forest clearings or paths, but everything turned out to be much easier. It turned out that an asphalt road leaves the "five-story building" almost exactly to the east.

By the way, on the north side of the road there is such a pretty swamp.

Soon the asphalt road began to turn to the left, to the north. But, before the turn on the right side of the road, there was a branch to a forest lane, going almost in the direction I needed.
This is the road. "An endurist's dream!" :O)

The forests turned out to be mushroom.

We managed to collect both porcini and boletus mushrooms.

A picturesque forest swamp encountered along the road.

Not far from Nazaryevo, a dirt road led me to a pretty decent forest highway. Ditches a meter deep on both sides, and under a thick layer of dirt, a hard coating was guessed. I have not found this highway on any of the maps I have. To some military facility, was it built in due time?

I went along the forest highway to the village of Nazaryevo. And this is in its own way a unique place in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region! And the point is not in the ancient church, and not in the old estate of the Mikhalkovs (by the way, the same Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov, the constant author of Soviet and Russian hymns, belonged to this family of Mikhalkovs). You will not surprise anyone with churches and estates in the Moscow region. The main attraction of Nazaryevo is the preserved agricultural production! Once there was a state farm in Nazaryevo, now there is the agro-industrial complex Nazarevo. But, one way or another, the fields around are regularly sown! And now, along the Nazarevo-Matveykovo highway, corn was growing.

What a contrast to the abandoned fields and ruined farms around my summer cottage!

But back to the route. On the western outskirts of Nazaryevo, there is such a picturesque pond with a dam.

My route ran right through the dam.

This is the Nazarevo-Matveykovo highway.

Ponds in Matveykovo.

The total length of my short walk was about 10-15 km. This easy route can be taken even by women with children, even by the elderly. Hardly anyone will have time to get tired. There is also an even shorter route. The walking tour can be completed in Nazaryevo, from where buses run to Zhavoronki station.

Summer is time active rest and outings. If standard program"Dacha-bath-barbecue" you are already bored, pay attention to these places. A selection of 15 most interesting technogenic objects of the Moscow region, which are no worse than the famous Pripyat.

Abandoned territory of the RKH.
Coordinates: 55.672356, 39.860287

An abandoned chemical plant, many workshops built at the beginning of the 20th century have survived, the equipment has been removed, there is no guard, in some parts of the plant there are signs of life (mostly Tajiks) there are no guards. The territory is huge, the number of workshops and buildings (in different states of destruction) practically does not count. If you go one day, you will hardly be able to see everything.

Tesla installations.
Coordinates: 55.916794, 36.820164

The complex test stand, popularly referred to as "Tesla installations", was built approximately in the 70s by the High-voltage research center of the All-Russian Electrotechnical Institute (VNITs VEI) near Istra.

The main activity of this center is high-voltage testing and development of high-voltage electrical equipment (for example, for power lines), testing equipment and equipment for resistance to pulsed electromagnetic fields, research on the physics of lightning, etc. The level of voltages generated here is megavolts (in this connection, visitors should take the threatening signs on the gates seriously). Among other things, lightning tests of aircraft are carried out here. The object is operational and is under security, with which it is quite possible to agree on how to get inside.

Abandoned pioneer camp.
Coordinates: 56.539421, 38.186760

An abandoned pioneer camp of a very large scale, fortunately, almost untouched by the guards and paintball players. It is remarkable for the preserved decorations - giraffes, elephants, labyrinths and others. The bomb shelter under the camp, about 150x150m in size, is also interesting. Only bare walls remained from the camp, some buildings were dilapidated. Very interesting and picturesque area!

Coordinates: 55.658272, 36.256256

The Gorbovskaya HPP was built to provide the Gorbovskaya Pulp Factory with electricity, for which a small Gorbovskaya Reservoir was created with an area of 2 million sq. m. In the generator room there were two generators producing 250 kW each, which was enough for both the factory and Gorbovo himself. But in the 1990s, the factory was closed, the hydroelectric power station became unnecessary and gradually fell into disrepair. Approximately in 2002, it completely stopped its work, the valves were dismantled, the water level was lowered, and the station itself was mothballed.

Cemetery of peat machines.
Coordinates: 56.704884, 38.316879

Batkovsko-Olkhovsky peat extraction. In 2010, part of the territory of the peat quarries was flooded. This is how a semi-underwater cemetery of abandoned peat-collecting equipment appeared. Now the place has become popular with fishermen. They calmly catch carp among drowned bulldozers and harvesters. In total on the territory of 4 sq. km about 20-30 pieces of equipment and the remnants of the UZD station.

Abandoned hospital complex.
Coordinates: 56.265163, 37.960510

The sanatorium and hospital complex was built for employees of the KTB (Design and Technical Bureau, now - TsNIISM) and was funded by the Ministry of Defense. After the restructuring, the construction was curtailed, since then the object has stood and is slowly being destroyed. Locals call this hospital "construction battalion". The building has 8 floors up, 3 down (according to rumors, as -3 and partially -2 are flooded). The stairs were built before required height, but the walls themselves are not, so the building has several funny observation "turrets". It is better to enter through the right (farthest) entrance. There are completely dark rooms on the first floors, a lantern will come in handy. Be careful - sometimes there are holes in the floor along the walls, partially covered with debris and broken brick.

Ruins of air defense positions of the C-25 system.
Coordinates: 56.021221, 36.343330

The C-25 "Berkut" is a stationary anti-aircraft missile system (SA-1 Guild according to NATO classification). It was put into service in the USSR in 1955 and was intended to defend Moscow against enemy air attacks. It was the world's first operating air defense system. At the end of the 40s of the last century, the USSR required a comprehensive defense of the territories of Moscow from possible massive air attacks. So the Soviet Union began to implement one of the most complex and expensive projects at that time to create an air defense missile system, controlled by a radar network. In May 1955, the S-25 "Berkut" air defense missile system was put into service. It consisted of 2 rings of concrete highways (today these are the A107 and A108 highways) around Moscow at a radius of 45 and 90 km and located on it 61 air defense regiments (each had 20 missiles installed simultaneously) and 7 supply regiments. To date, the C-25 system is not used. The old positions (especially on the 1st ring) are occupied by the newer C300 system and summer residents, but most of them are abandoned and plundered.

There are hundreds of abandoned places and objects on the territory of the Moscow region. Along with the places that people were forced to leave, there are a lot of objects that can be conditionally divided into those that ceased to exist when changing political regimes; as a result of hostilities; victims of man-made and technical disasters; disappeared for other reasons. Today, such objects are of great interest to extreme tourists, people interested in history, as well as out of simple human curiosity. Unspoken rules for extreme tourism lovers:

Some abandoned objects are of historical value and are protected by the state. Special attention deserve empty settlements where people used to live. The once luxurious dilapidated estates, destroyed temples and churches are striking. The forgotten military equipment, fabulous mansions and huts not needed by anyone, former prisons and factories.

All ghostly deserted places are impressively picturesque or depressingly dark, but invariably attractive. There is something mystical in them that does not age and does not become obsolete, from century to century. Being there, you understand that age and decrepitude are only a deceptive semblance of time.

What do you think is found in the Tambov forests? Of course, our faithful comrade Tambov Wolf. But besides the Tambov wolves, there is something else interesting and not marked anywhere on the map. We go in search.

Suddenly ..... pipes with some kind of slurry that flows into the river. Well, now the most interesting thing is that there is a field in the distance and nothing at all can be seen! There is NO factory in this remote village in the immediate vicinity.

Photo 3.

Apparently due to the fact that this slurry has more high fever, the river does not freeze.

By the way, there is a hunting farm here and fur animals are bred or bred.

After Moses, we finally found the passage. Apparently, the perimeter was once electrified.

So, here it is - an abandoned military bunker, the former storage of the SBCH.

Photo 9.

Before us is a corridor consisting of several huge massive hermetic seals.

Photo 10.

The dimensions of the pressurized door are amazing. They are just huge. They were needed to withstand a nuclear strike. Partially they were sawed for ferrous metal, and some that could not be pulled out, remain to this day. Their thickness is a meter, or even more.

Photo 11.

It used to be a storage facility for special warheads for nuclear missiles.
The dimensions in the axes are approximately 100 × 40 meters. Well, now, the cranes and everything else sawed off. Under the sand, traces of rails are guessed, on which some equipment was located.
The place itself now resembles a location from Andrei Tarkovsky's film Stalker.

Most of the object is empty rooms. I will not waste personnel on them. It's hard to say what was located here. All equipment was successfully sawn for scrap.

Here is such a control scheme. Once, apparently, the bulbs were burning here, in some places they have survived.

Photo 36.

But I don’t know why or what for this room. Incomprehensible windows are upstairs, and there is absolutely nothing above the room. As we suggested, it is possible that a uniform light was falling through these glasses. But for what? I have no idea. If you know, write.

A curious artifact is the formation of ice. Monolith.

Photo 41.

And in this room, judging by the dirt on the floor, there was a diesel one. On the remains of the equipment there is an inscription DMB-90. Obviously, this bunker was already not functioning then. Although the former soldier could return to his duty station a few years after the army.

Photo 43.

And in the end - small perversions with a plafond lying in the sand. Painfully I liked him.

That's all for today, bye everyone.
