How to make picture frames hand milling cutter

Creation of frames for pictures and photos, one of the most simple ways manufacture of products in woodworking. These are several wooden slats cut with a trimming device and connected to each other in a frame. First of all, in any frame, the profile of the shaped part of the rail plays the main role. To make a profile of rails, we need milling table and a set of standard cutters. Next, we will consider the methods of forming various profiles for the rails of future frames.

This frame (see photo above) is one of the popular models because it is basic and looks attractive. The milling sequence is shown in fig. 1-4.

The frame described above serves as a good basis for creating many variations, see fig. 5-6.

A simple formation of profiles with a milling cutter and gluing them will help create the option shown in the photo below. Here the strip is made of contrasting wood, see fig. 1-4.

You can add another color to the frame with a rail of the desired color. In the photo below, a strip painted with gold paint has been added to the inside of the frame to emphasize the inner edge of the frame, see fig. 1-4.

To give the frame a nice, smooth look, you can round off the edges of the rail and create a fusion effect, see the photo below. Increase the width of the slats and this frame will be good for large paintings or photographs, see fig. 1-4.

Even in small frames, you can add a contrasting strip (insert) for decoration. The second stripe creates a cutout for photo, painting and glass, see fig. 1-4.

To expand the functionality of a hand-held power tool, to make its use more convenient, comfortable and safe, you can use accessories for a hand-held milling cutter. Serial models of such devices are quite expensive, but you can save on their purchase and make devices for equipping a wood router with your own hands.

Various attachments can turn a hand router into a truly versatile tool.

The main task that the accessories for the milling cutter solve is that the tool is located in relation to the machined surface in the required spatial position. Some of the most commonly used attachments for milling machines come standard on these equipment. The same models that have a highly specialized purpose are purchased separately or made by hand. At the same time, many devices for a wood router have such a design that making them with your own hands does not present any particular problems. For homemade gadgets a manual router does not even require drawings - their drawings will be enough.

Among the accessories for a wood router that you can make with your own hands, there are a number of popular models. Let's consider them in more detail.

Rip fence for straight and curved cuts

A parallel stop for or another reference surface, which allows you to make straight cuts in the tree relative to these surfaces, is one of the most popular fixtures and is standard on many models. Using such a device, the base element for which, in addition to the desktop, can be the side of the workpiece or the guide rail, grooves are machined on the workpiece, and its edge part is milled.

Design parallel stop for the router includes the following components:

  • rods that are inserted into special holes in the router body;
  • a locking screw by means of which the rods are fixed in the required position;
  • fine adjustment screw, which is needed in order to more accurately adjust the distance at which the cutter axis will be from the base surface;
  • support pads with which the device abuts against the base surface (in some models of parallel stops, it is possible to change the distance between the support pads).

To prepare the stop for the router for work, you need to perform the following steps:

  • insert the stop rods into the holes in the router base and fix them in the required position with a locking screw;
  • by loosening the stop screw and using the fine adjustment screw, adjust the distance between the center of the cutter and the support surface of the fixture.

Having supplemented the parallel stop with one simple detail, you can use such a device to create not only straight lines in the tree, but also curved cuts... Such a part is a wooden block, one side of which is straight, and on the other, a recess is made of a rounded or angular shape. It is placed between the support pads of the stop and the base surface of the workpiece to be machined from wood, which has a curved shape.

In this case, of course, with its straight side, the bar should abut against the support pads of the device, and with the side with a recess against the curved base surface. Work with a parallel stop, additionally equipped with such a bar, should be extremely careful, since the position of the router itself in this case will be quite unstable.

Guide rail

The guide rail, like the rip fence, provides a straight line movement of the router relative to the reference surface during woodworking. Meanwhile, in contrast to the parallel stop, such a guide for the milling cutter can be located at any angle to the edge of the workpiece. In this way, the guide bar can allow the router to move precisely in almost any direction in the horizontal plane during woodworking. Guide bar equipped with additional structural elements, it is also useful when milling holes located in a tree with a certain pitch.

The fixation of the guide rail on the work table or workpiece is provided with special clamps. If there are no such clamps in the basic configuration of the device, ordinary clamps are suitable for these purposes. Some guide rail models can be equipped with a special adapter, often called a shoe. The adapter, connected to the base of the router by means of two rods, slides along the profile of the tire during machining and thus ensures the movement of the working head of the router in a given direction.

A milling attachment such as a guide rail is best used in conjunction with routers with height-adjustable feet on the base plate. This is explained as follows. In cases where the supporting surfaces of the router and the tire are in different horizontal planes, which can happen if the fixture is too close to the workpiece made of wood, adjustable legs tools make it possible to eliminate such a discrepancy.

Guide devices for equipping the router, which, despite the simplicity of their design, will differ high efficiency use, without much difficulty, you can make it yourself. The simplest of these devices can be made from a long piece of wood that is secured to the workpiece with clamps. To make such a device even more comfortable, you can supplement it with side stops. If you put and fix the block at the same time on two (or even more) wood blanks, then you can milling a groove on their surface in one pass.

The main disadvantage in which the device of the above-described design differs is that it is not easy to accurately fix the bar relative to the line of the future cut. The guides of the two designs proposed below are devoid of a similar disadvantage.

The first of these devices is a device made of interconnected boards and plywood sheet... To ensure the alignment of this device in relation to the edge of the groove to be made, it is necessary to observe following conditions: the distance from the edge of the stop to the edge of the plywood (base) must exactly match the distance at which the tool used is located from extreme point base of the router. The adaptation of the proposed design is used if the tree is processed with cutters of the same diameter.

For milling operations performed with tools of different diameters, it is advisable to use attachments of a different design. The peculiarity of the latter lies in the fact that the router, when using them, comes into contact with the stop with the entire sole, and not only with its middle part. In the design of such a stop there is a hinged hinged board, which ensures the correct spatial position of the device in relation to the surface of the processed wood product. The purpose of this board is to ensure that the stop is fixed in the required position. After this procedure is completed, the board is tilted and thereby frees up space for the working head of the router.

When making such a device for a router with your own hands, it should be borne in mind that the distance from the center of the tool used to the extreme point of the router base must correspond to the width of the folding board and the gap between the board and the stop, if it is provided in the design of the device. In the event that during the manufacture of this device you were guided only by the edge of the cutter and the edge of the groove that must be formed with its help, it will be possible to use such a device only with cutters of the same diameter.

Often it is necessary to mill grooves in wood blanks across the fibers of the material, which leads to the formation of scoring. Devices that press the fibers in the place where the cutter comes out allow to reduce the size of scoring, do not allow them to split off from the surface of the processed wood. The design of one of these devices consists of two boards, which are connected to each other with screws at an angle of 90 °. The width of the groove made in such a device should coincide with the width of the groove created in the product made of wood, for which cutters of different diameters are used from different sides of the stop.

Another milling attachment, the design of which consists of two L-shaped elements that are fixed to the workpiece made of wood with clamps, is required for milling open grooves and ensures a minimum number of scoring during processing.

Copy rings and templates

A copying sleeve for a router is a device with a protruding edge that slides along the template and thus sets the movement of the router in the required direction. On the base of the router, such a ring can be fixed different ways: screw in, screw into the threaded hole, insert with special antennae into the holes in the tool sole.

The diameters of the copying ring and the used tool should have close values, but it is important that the ring does not touch the cutting part of the cutter. If the diameter of the ring exceeds transverse dimension copy cutter, then such a template to compensate for the difference between its size and the diameter of the tool should not exceed the size of the workpiece.

The milling template, made in the form of a ring, can be fixed on a workpiece made of wood using double-sided tape and clamps, with which both of its parts are pressed against the work table. After milling with a template, check that the ring was firmly pressed against the edge of the template during the milling operation.

Milling templates can be used not only to machine the entire edge of a product, but also to round the corners. Using such a template for a router, you can make roundings of different radii at the corners of a workpiece made of wood.

The templates used with the hand router can be fitted with a bearing or ring. In the latter case, the following conditions must be met: the ring must exactly match the diameter of the cutter, or stops must be provided in the design of the fixture that allow the template to be moved away from the edge of the workpiece and thereby eliminate the difference between the radii of the tool and the ring.

With the help of templates, which can be adjustable, you can not only mill the edges of the processed wood product, but also create curly grooves on its surface. In addition, if you make a template of the appropriate design, which does not present great difficulties, it will be possible to quickly and accurately cut grooves with it for door hinges.

Cutting rounded and elliptical grooves

To cut grooves in a tree in the form of a circle or an ellipse with a hand router, use circular devices. The simplest compass for a router consists of a rod. One end of it is connected to the base of the router, and the other is equipped with a screw and pin. The pin is inserted into a hole that acts as the center of a circle, along the contour of which a groove is formed. To change the radius of the circle of the groove, for the execution of which such a compass is used for the router, it is enough to shift the bar relative to the base of the router. Circular devices are more convenient to use, in the design of which two rods are provided, and not one.

Rigging, working on the principle of a compass, is a fairly common type of attachment used to work with a router. With their help, it is very convenient to perform milling of shaped grooves with different radii of curvature. As mentioned above, typical design such a device, which can be made with your own hands, includes a screw with a pin that can move along the groove of the device and thereby allow you to adjust the radius of the groove being created.

In cases where it is necessary to create a small diameter hole with a router for wood or other material, a different type of equipment is used. A design feature of such devices, which are fixed on the lower part of the router base, is that their pin, installed in the central hole on the workpiece being processed, is located under the base of the power tool used, and not outside it.

Using special devices, a hand router can create not only round, but also oval holes in the tree. The design of one of these devices includes:

  • base that can be fixed on the workpiece made of wood vacuum suction cups or screws;
  • two shoes that move along intersecting guides;
  • two mounting rods;
  • bracket connecting the base of the fixture with the router.

Due to special grooves in the bracket of such a device, its base plate can be easily set in the same plane with the base of the router. If this equipment is used to perform milling along a circular contour, then one shoe is used, and if it is oval, then both. The cut made by such a device is of a higher quality than if it were made using a jigsaw or band saw... This is explained by the fact that machining with the milling cutter used in this case is carried out with a tool that rotates at high speed.

Accessories for fast and high-quality milling of grooves on narrow surfaces

Anyone can answer the question of how to make grooves for door hinges or a lock. House master... For these purposes, as a rule, a drill and a conventional chisel are used. Meanwhile, such a procedure can be performed much faster and with less labor costs if you take a milling cutter equipped with a special device for this. The design of such a device, with the help of which grooves of various widths can be created on narrow surfaces, is a flat base that is fixed on the sole of the router. On the base, which can be either round or rectangular shape, two pins are installed, the task of which is to ensure the linear movement of the router during processing.

The main requirement that the nozzle on the router with the above-described design must meet is that the axes of the guide pins should be in line with the center of the router used for wood processing. If this condition is met, then the groove made at the end of the workpiece to be machined will be located strictly in its center. To move the groove to one side, it is enough to put a sleeve of the appropriate size on one of the guide pins. When using such a nozzle on a hand router, make sure that the guide pins are pressed against the side surfaces of the workpiece during processing.

It is possible to ensure the stability of the router when machining narrow surfaces without special tools. This problem is solved with the help of two boards, which are attached on both sides of the workpiece in such a way as to form one plane with the surface on which the groove is made. The milling cutter itself, when using this technological technique, is positioned using a parallel stop.

Milling devices for processing bodies of revolution

Many accessories for hand milling machine, manufactured by users according to their needs, have no serial analogues. One of such devices, the need to use which arises quite often, is a device that facilitates the process of cutting grooves in bodies of revolution. Using such a device, in particular, it is possible to easily and accurately cut longitudinal grooves on posts, balusters and other wood products of a similar configuration.

Router and frame assembly Router carriage Divider disc

The design of this device is:

  • frame;
  • movable milling carriage;
  • the disk with which the rotation angle is set;
  • screws to secure the workpiece to be processed;
  • locking screw.
If such a device is additionally equipped with the simplest drive, which can be used as conventional drill or a screwdriver, then milling on it can successfully replace the processing performed on a lathe.

Stud milling attachment

The tenoning device for the router allows you to high precision to carry out processing of parts connected according to the principle of "thorn-groove". The most versatile of these devices allows you to milling studs. different typesdovetail"And straight lines). In the work of such a device, a copying ring is involved, which, moving along the groove in a special template, ensures the exact movement of the cutter in a given direction. To make one with your own hands, you must first select the groove templates for which it will be used.

Several additional options for expanding the functionality of the router

Why do you need to create additional devices to equip a hand router that is already functional enough? The fact is that such devices will allow you to turn your hand router into a full-fledged machining center. So, by fixing the manual router on the guide (it may be), you can not only facilitate the process of using it, but also increase the accuracy of the operations performed. The design of such useful tool does not contain complex elements, so making it for a router and for a drill with your own hands will not be difficult.

Many home craftsmen, wondering how to work with a hand router with even greater efficiency, make a functional work table for this tool. Naturally, such a table can also be used for other equipment (for example, for circular saw or an electric drill).

If you do not have a hand mill at your disposal, then this problem is also solved with the help of special devices that allow you to successfully perform milling on a serial lathe. Using the milling attachment to lathe, it is possible to significantly expand the functionality of serial equipment (in particular, it can be used for processing planes, making a selection of grooves and grooves, processing various parts along the contour). It is also important that such a device for a lathe does not differ in design complexity, and it will not be difficult to make it yourself.

Various frames are used to frame pictures, favorite photographs, children's crafts. They can be bought at the store, but they are different standard sizes and appearance, and designer items have high cost, which is not always justified. How to get out of this situation? It takes a little patience, the ability to work with simple carpentry tools. You can make a wooden frame with your own hands. If you have experience, then you can independently create a real work of art by decorating the products with original carvings.

For a custom size photo, you can make a wooden frame yourself.

How to make such a frame with your own hands? There is nothing complicated in this, wooden slats or plywood are used as the main material, you can cut patterns with a jigsaw. Before work, you should take measurements, think over design options.

To make a frame with your own hands out of wood, you need to prepare the following materials and tools:

Sawing of wooden blocks at an angle of 45 ° is carried out using a special tool.

  • wooden slats of the required length and thickness (if a carved frame is made, then a plywood sheet can be used for this);
  • a sheet of thick cardboard;
  • acrylic paints, topcoat varnish;
  • a set of brushes for decoration;
  • jigsaw with a set of files;
  • nails;
  • hook or metal loop;
  • Sander;
  • sandpaper.

Wooden frame with mat

Any tree for a frame with a mat can be used. The product is manufactured in the following sequence:

Different patterns can be made using cutters.

  1. First, the dimensions are measured with a ruler. If the edges of the photo or painting are slightly worn out, it is best to trim them off slightly.
  2. On thick cardboard, mark the position of the photo with a pencil. After marking, the resulting rectangle is carefully cut out. It is allowed to use scissors, a special stationery knife with replaceable blades. A special cutter designed to work with a mat is best suited.
  3. A jigsaw cuts out 4 elements for the future frame. End inner corners done at an angle of 45 degrees. It is necessary to provide that the edges turn out to be even and smooth, otherwise, when gluing a high-quality connection, it will not work.
  4. A small amount of wood glue is carefully applied to the ends, the elements are connected together, clamped with clamps.
  5. For the frame, you can use glass to protect the photo or painting from damage. The glass can be cut by yourself; for convenience, a glass cutter is used. You can order from a specialist not just smooth glass, but already having decoration. This frame will become even more attractive and stylish.
  6. To install the glass, special grooves are made on the reverse side of the profile. The grooves are marked to a depth equal to the thickness of the glass.
  7. On the front side of the product, you can provide original decoration... There are many options, if you wish, you can dream up. The frame can be painted, gilded or varnished. The most simple option wood is varnished. To do this, first polish the surface, remove all dust. After that, the wood is carefully varnished with a brush. You can use both transparent mixtures and those having any shade.
  8. When everything is ready, you can start assembling the frame. If the product is dry, it must be carefully laid face down. After that, glass is placed on top, a mat (it should fit snugly against the tree). A photograph or a picture is attached to the back of the mount; a second piece of thick cardboard, thin plywood, and a piece of fiberboard are used to fasten the seamy side. The backdrop is attached to the product with small galvanized nails. Care must be taken to ensure that the carnations do not pierce the frame. From the top, you need to fasten a loop or hook. If the frame will be used for a shelf or table, then instead of a loop, it is best to provide a special stand.

Varieties of baguettes for paintings

After all the parts are ready, they are glued together with PVA glue.

Today you can make baguettes for photographs and paintings with your own hands. The most popular material for the embodiment of ideas is wood; frames can also be made from plastic or metal. Wood is the most expensive material, but also the highest quality, durable and beautiful. A real classic-type baguette is made only of wood. It can be done in a modern, minimalist style, or more artsy with intricate carvings, which are great for an old Renaissance painting.

The wooden frame is universal option, it can be used in any interior... It is best to take hardwood, tropical, conifers. Ideal option is pine, ramin, exotic ayos. The wood should be dense, not crack and chip during processing.

Wood must be selected such that it does not absorb moisture, is not exposed to temperature influences, and is durable.

From wood, you can make a regular classic, reverse, flat, service profile. The surface of the frame can be coated with varnish or paint, you can use special oils, silver, golden spraying.

After the frame is ready, it must be decorated, this can be done by painting it with acrylic, or by sticking beads or shells on it, gilding or aging it.

Aluminum - more cheap option for making frames, but there are certain limitations. Such metal products are not as richly decorated as wooden ones, design options are limited. Stucco and others decorative species ornaments for metal frames are not used. Usually they are simply painted or varnished, pasted over with special films. For home, aluminum moldings are not always suitable, they are usually used in office premises.

An aluminum baguette is perfect if you need to arrange posters, large photographs, diplomas, posters, graphic images... The advantages of aluminum frames are as follows:

  • high quality and durability of the frame;
  • low profile weight;
  • the possibility of using special paints that literally impregnate the material.

Plastic molding for interior

Plastic baguettes are sold by the meter, they only need to be cut and glued.

Plastic frames are not only of high quality, but also cheap. From such material, you can create an imitation of a wooden frame, but the cost and weight will be much less.

You can use plastic baguettes (most often made of PVC) for mirrors, photographs, modern paintings, and children's crafts.

The assembly process is simple, in many specialized stores you can buy ready-made plastic profiles for making beautiful and durable frames.

Is a wooden, plastic or metal frame better? It is unambiguously difficult to answer this question, since they all differ in their advantages. But working with wood is much easier, and the result is more attractive. The manufacturing process is not difficult, you just need to show care and patience - the result will be amazing.

Instructions

You should start with the size of the future frame. Only you, will it be for a 10x15 or 9x12 cm photo. The next step is to measure desired length, and then carefully saw off the edges of the rail at an angle of 45 °. When the future sides of the frame are ready, we take the staple bracket and divide it into two equal L-shaped parts. With the help of such brackets, you can connect the two sides of the frame so that the joint remains completely invisible. But to fix and more durable, before connecting the sides with staples, you should grease them with glue.

After the glue dries, the frame is ready to paint on its surface, and then there will be where to show imagination!

You can attach a photo to this with a stapler, after laminating the photo. Lamination, firstly, will make it easier to clean the photo from dust and, secondly, it will ease the load on the frame.

Another, more laborious, method of making a frame. Initially, the principle is the same. You will need wooden blocks 8x10mm for gluing the main frame and 5x35mm bars for the second frame. Their dimensions should be the same, since the corresponding sides of the frames will need to be connected perpendicularly to each other. The end result should be something that looks like a box. We glue the connecting joint around the entire perimeter decorative baguette... Before use, you should cover it twice with glue so that the spray paint does not damage the surface. After the frame is dry, you can safely use any paint. The dyed baguette will give the finished product a wonderful look.

  • how to make a frame with your own hands out of wood

It would seem, what is easier - to visit a framing workshop or buy a ready-made frame in a store. However, it is much more pleasant to frame a painting, mirror or photograph with your own hands. You can make a wooden frame using a woodworking machine, skillfully carve patterns, or burn out an intricate ornament. Such a creation is within the power of a real master. It is easier for a beginner to perform work from several planks or a simple slats.

You will need

  • Wooden planks
  • Roulette or ruler
  • Pencil
  • Miter box
  • PVA glue
  • Staples
  • Twine
  • Fiberboard or thick cardboard
  • Planer (if necessary)
  • Sandpaper
  • Paint, stain or potassium permanganate
  • Metal clamps
  • Individually selected decor elements

Instructions

Select longitudinal and transverse wooden planks or saw into four pieces a long strip. Parts of the future frame should be absolutely smooth. Peel them and carefully process coarse, then finer sandpaper.

Make required measurements and saw off the ends of the parts of the wooden frame with a triangle, that is, at an angle of 45 degrees. To make it more convenient to do this, and the joints turned out to be as neat and unobtrusive as possible, use a special device - a miter box with appropriate connectors.

Lubricate the frame with PVA glue and firmly press all the edges "in the mustache" - at an angle of 90 degrees. Then tie the string tightly around the wooden frame to secure the corners. Make sure they don't move! Some craftsmen, for better fixing of homemade wooden frames, together with glue, use the halves of the staples of a stationery stapler. The staple is cut "g" -shaped into two equal halves. The corners are inserted into the middle of the cuts at the ends of the planks, after which different sides frames are pushed onto each other.

Let the glue set for 15 minutes. After drying, sand the product again and decorate the wooden frame to your liking. You can simply paint it with any paint; stain and varnish. Instead of stain, potassium permanganate is used - it also gives the product a brown tint.

Cut the back of the wood frame out of very heavy cardboard or fibreboard. For monolithic construction just glue the backdrop with the same wood glue; if desired, you can use special metal clamps.

If you want to disguise some of the rough edges of a homemade wooden frame, come up with original design products. Now the decoupage technique is relevant in the interior - decorating things with the help of decorative paper multi-layer napkins. Using a nail scissors with rounded ends, cut out the appropriate pictures and peel off the topmost paint layer of the napkin. Glue it to the frame and cover the entire surface with clear varnish. For the best effect, you can buy a special decoupage set - scissors, glue and varnish. Glued dry leaves, flowers and other looks very interesting on the interior frame. natural material(for example, halves of shells walnuts or seashells). A simple frame for a child's photo can be decorated with thick colored paper and foil.

  • Picture frame

Surely everyone in the house has a photo that you do not mind putting in a frame and hanging in a conspicuous place so that it is always in front of your eyes. There are now many ways to create a frame. But with the manufacture of an oval, problems arise.

You will need

  • - a computer with a printer;
  • - A3 paper for printing;
  • - three pieces of natural felt different colors by the size of the future frame;
  • - the device with which the paintings are hung;
  • - 1 sheet of thick cardboard;
  • - pencil;
  • - scissors;
  • - glue.

Instructions

Make for your product first. It will consist of three oval frames of different color and size, glued one on top of the other. To do this, print the ovals created in a graphic editor on paper. The first is the size of the outer diameters 40 and 20, the second is 38 and 18, the third is 35 and 15. These sizes of the inner diameters are given conditionally. You determine them yourself by the size of the photograph for which you are doing, but the inner diameters of the second oval should be less than the inner diameters of the first, similarly with the third and second ovals. The edges of the first oval can be left smooth, but you can use wavy patterns with scissors. Cut the edges of the second oval, like a flower, and make the third oval 1.5-2 cm thick so that it fits completely on the second.

Transfer each paper oval to felt and cut out. Choose a different color for each oval. Decide on the inner edges of the first oval, as they depend entirely on the photograph. Try on the photo for the frame. If the photo is larger, then you need to crop a little. The third is the narrowest oval, glue it to the second. Glue the second oval to the third in the same way.

Let the glue dry. Cut out a tight oval slightly smaller than the first. When the glue dries, glue the frames from around the edge to so that the photo fits in the middle. WITH back side frame, fix the hanging device. Let the glue dry well and then you can already photograph on the wall.

note

If after the frame has already been taken, the photo does not fit inside the frame, round off its sharp edges and cut off the unnecessary.

Helpful advice

You can change the design of the frame yourself to your liking, add all sorts of little things to make the product decorative. To know when the glue dries, read the instructions for it.

For your photo to have a finished look, it must be framed. You can, of course, use ready-made ones. A large number of various psd-frames are developed by photo designers literally for every occasion of life. However, in order to arrange your photos in the same style (for organizing a photo gallery, for example), you need to make your own, branded frame.

Instructions

So, open the photo in Photoshop and unlock the layer. To do this, double-click on the layer thumbnail and click "OK" in the window that opens.

Now we need to create a new layer. If you just execute the command "Create a new layer", then it will be formed above the main layer. Since the new layer needs to be positioned below it, execute the command while holding down the ctrl key.

Stand on the newly created layer and from the "Image" menu select "Canvas Size ...". In the window that opens, you need to set the canvas size larger than the image size. Select a unit of measurement - percent, set width - 10%, height - 7%. Check the box "Relative", the location is in the center. If at the bottom of the frame you want to leave an autograph, your signature or a logo, repeat last step, set the size of the new canvas to width - 0%, height - 7%, position - top.

Fill this layer with black by pressing alt + delete. If you need a different color for the frame, fill the layer, having previously selected the desired color.

Now shade the photo. To do this, double-click on the layer with the photo or click the "Add Style to Layer" button. Select the "Stroke ..." item from the menu. Set the size to 4pc, position to inside, color to white.
If you are not satisfied with the design option, try experimenting with color, stroke size, and other blending options.

Now it remains to use the "Text" tool and place a signature or logo on the frame. Your frame is ready.

Are you satisfied with the result? Then write down the entire algorithm of actions in the action (menu "Window" - "Operations" - "Create an operation"). Now you don't need to do the same steps for every photo. Please select necessary photos, run the newly created action for each of them. Photos are ready, print them and create your own photo gallery.
