On April 29, 1967, the Minister of Public Order Protection of the USSR N.A. Shchelokov signed an order to create a paramilitary fire brigade training unit in Voronezh. In 1968, the first recruitment of junior command personnel of paramilitary fire brigades took place in the detachment. Two groups were completed: the first - for the training of junior inspectors and assistant instructors of prevention, the second - for the training of department commanders.

On February 16, 1970, the detachment was assigned a plot of 3.5 hectares for the construction of a complex of facilities for a Training Fire brigade for 150 people on Krasnoznamennaya Street in the Leninsky District of Voronezh. At that time, the detachment was stationed in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Voronezh (Oktyabrsky prospect, 124).

In 1974, with the active help of the garrison of the fire brigade, two new buildings were built at 231 Krasnoznamennaya Street. The detachment moved to a new location and almost immediately was renamed the School for training junior and middle command personnel. In October 1984, the School was renamed into the Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, on the basis of which the Voronezh Fire-Fighting Technical School was created in 1993.

In July 2008, the Voronezh fire-fighting school of the EMERCOM of Russia was given the status of an institute (Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of 21.07.2008 No. 1055-r "On granting the status of an institute to the federal state educational institution secondary vocational education "Voronezh fire-technical school" of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters ").

Since 2004, the institute has a vocal ensemble "PHOENIX", which includes employees and cadets of the educational institution. The vocal ensemble constantly takes part in the annual competition-festival of performers of soldier's and patriotic songs "Defenders of the Fatherland", held in Voronezh, amateur art contests in the EMERCOM of Russia, as well as in institutional and city cultural events.

In 2004, by the efforts of the institute employees, the fire-fighting train of the Meshchansky police unit was recreated, which protected Voronezh from fires in the 19th century (uniform and fire-technical equipment).

Every year the cadets of the institute take part in city clean-ups for the improvement of parks, squares and other places of interest in Voronezh.

A complex of cultural, educational and patriotic events is carried out with the cadets of the institute. For the work carried out in this direction in 2008, by the decision of the board of the Russian State Military Historical and Cultural Center under the Government of the Russian Federation, the Institute was awarded the Badge of Honor "For active work on the patriotic education of citizens of the Russian Federation."

Story

The Voronezh Fire Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations opened its doors in 1967. But then this institution received the name of the training unit for firefighting activities. The following year, 2 groups of students were recruited. One of them trained inspectors and fire prevention instructors, and the other trained commanders.
A few years later, not far from the unit, two new buildings were built, the groups were transferred to them. Now the institution has received the name "School of training of the command staff of the junior and middle management." After 10 years, the School was renamed the Training Center. In 1993, a school was created on the basis of the center, and in 2008 the institution acquired the status of a university of the Ministry of Emergencies. The Voronezh Institute immediately gained popularity.

Basic information

The institute provides training in 3 main areas:

  • "Safety of fire systems". Upon completion of six years of study at the institution, the student receives the title of "specialist". Education is conducted by correspondence.
  • "Fire safety" - the qualification category "technician" is assigned. Students acquire this qualification after completing grade 11 high school, the category is assigned after 3 years 10 months.

Training takes place in the targeted direction, funds are allocated from the state budget.

But the government also allows the training of students under an agreement in the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The Voronezh Institute is no exception. In this case, training is conducted in 4 directions:

  • "Safety of fire systems". At the end of the five-year study at the institution, the student receives the title of "specialist". The training is carried out in full-time form.
  • Technosphere Safety is a four-year full-time bachelor's degree program.
  • "Safety of fire systems". Upon completion of six years of study at the institution, the student receives the title of "specialist". The training is carried out in correspondence.
  • "Fire safety" - the qualification "technician" is awarded after 3 years 10 months from the start of training.

Also, the magistracy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is now very much appreciated. The Voronezh Institute provides for this type of training, although so far there is only one direction:

  • Technosphere Safety. After graduating from a bachelor's degree, students can enroll in a master's program for two years of correspondence studies.

Information for applicants

In order to study at this institution, you need to successfully pass the exam in 3 subjects: profile mathematics, physics and Russian language. Also, when submitting documents, an entrance exam in mathematics is additionally written and tests in physical education are carried out.
