How to lay Knauf floors. Knauf superpol: description, specifications, advantages, scope, features of preparatory work and installation, video. Knauf superpol laying - stages of work

The German manufacturer Knauf dry screed is positioned as Superpol, suitable for use in dry and wet rooms, the temperature inside which does not fall below + 10 degrees.

In addition to materials for 4 types of dry screed - Alpha, Beta, Vega and Gamma, Knauf produces tools for this technology (2 guide rails and one sliding rule as standard).

However, the original brand products are expensive, when repaired on your own you can get by with GVL sheets of any manufacturer, plastic wrap, damper tape and expanded clay sand from the nearest building material store. The tool is an aluminum rule of 1.5 - 2 m and a profile from GVL systems (usually rack 2.7 x 6 cm).

In the album of Superpol's technical solutions with the manufacturer's materials, the Knauf dry floor screed is represented by four options with different composition"pie" design:

  • Alpha- on even floors or slabs, previously leveled with a self-leveling floor, only two layers of GVL sheets without film waterproofing are used;
  • Beta- also on even floors, but acoustic (usually sound-absorbing) material is laid under the gypsum fiber panels;
  • Vega– system for not level ground, includes a layer of expanded clay sand, on which two layers of GVL sheets are laid;
  • Gamma- soundproofing is laid under the gypsum fiber boards, then a waterproofing film and expanded clay backfill.

Variants of the Superpole Knauf pie.

Important! The design of the Knauf Superfloor is floating, therefore, for all of these options, a damper tape along the perimeter of the walls at the junction points is mandatory.

In practice, the laying technology is most often used according to the Vega and Gamma options. Expanded clay backfill is cheaper than self-leveling floor, in addition to leveling the floor, it further improves the acoustic properties of floor slabs:

Technology

Superpole

Number of layers Airborne noise isolation index R (dBa) Structural reduced noise index L (dBa) Structure thickness (cm)
Alpha 2 GVL 24 52 60 2
Beta 2 GVL + porous sound insulator 28 53 55 3 – 5
Vega 2 GVL + expanded clay + polyethylene 36 53 58 4
Gamma 2 GVL + porous sound insulator + polyethylene + expanded clay 60 55 55 5 – 11

Important! If a warm floor is included in the project, it is laid OVER the dry Knauf screed. Before tiling, the surface of the GVL sheets is puttied with a continuous layer of at least 2 mm thick with special elastic compounds, for example, Knauf LevelerShpachtel 415.

Features of dry screed for different floor coverings.

Laying technology

Unlike wet and semi-dry screeds, the installation of Superpol is much faster. You can walk on a dry screed already during the installation of GVL sheets. This option provides not only high maintainability of the structure, but also the communications hidden under it. Boxes and other drywall structures do not gain moisture, as there are no wet processes, windows do not fog up, even with poor ventilation.

Knauf dry screed floor slabs must be inspected to identify defective areas. The sequence of operations at this stage is as follows:

  • removal of a loose layer of concrete or its treatment with special compounds (deep penetration primer);
  • seal putty mixtures cracks, joints and seams as needed;
  • dust removal and removal of oil stains;
  • drying wet areas of concrete.

Important! For the Superfloor of the Alpha version without expanded clay sand, it is necessary to level the slabs with a self-leveling floor.

Horizontal level beating

For a dry Knauf floor screed, it is impossible to use the understatement method highest point horizontal level, since the GVL sheet cannot be brought "to zero". Therefore, the rise in the level of the finished floor will be at least 2 cm at the top point.

The horizontal offset is done as follows:

  • a laser level or a plane builder is installed in one room in such a way that the beam penetrates the walls of adjacent rooms;
  • at an arbitrary height, a single line is drawn in all rooms of the cottage/apartment;
  • the distances from this line to the floor slabs are measured, the upper point is found ( minimum size according to the results of measurements);
  • the perimeter of the walls is pasted over with a damper tape, the upper edge of which should be 2 cm above the mark floor covering;
  • the upper line of the horizontal level is transferred to the tape with a tape measure, taking into account the indicated values \u200b\u200bof the thickness of the dry screed.

Advice! When using the plane builder, it is not necessary to make a line, all subsequent operations can be performed with the device turned on, focusing on its laser beam.

Waterproofing, insulation and acoustic material

Depending on the acoustic and thermodynamic characteristics of the floor slab, dry screed cake may contain different materials. Therefore, they fit in the sequence:

  • noise absorbing or soundproof material directly on floor slabs;
  • polyethylene film with an overlap of strips of 15 cm minimum, the edges of which go onto the walls 2 cm above the level of the floor covering (launched under the damper tape), in the absence of acoustic material, they cover the ceiling with it;
  • thermal insulation - over previous layers or one polyethylene film.

Important! It is not necessary to reinforce dry screeds, the contours of the warm floor are not used inside them. All risers of engineering systems passing through the ceiling are wrapped with damper tape.

Backfilling of expanded clay crumbs

To reduce labor costs, bulk material Compevit is applied to the previous layers of the dry screed cake using the following technology:

Important! When using a conventional galvanized profile, traces of shelves remain in the Compavit layer, which must be further leveled. The special Knauf tool allows you to avoid this operation - the guides are laid on top of expanded clay, and the rule has a special profile (cutouts along the edges), so there are no traces of lighthouses.

Laying GVL sheets

Unlike wet screeds, it is easier for the master to move around expanded clay by laying several pieces of GVL from 50 x 50 cm in size. Therefore, laying sheet material it is not necessary to start from the corner farthest to the doorway.

Unlike conventional GVL sheets, the manufacturer Knauf manufactures EP elements - two panels glued together with an offset of 5 cm. Due to the offset, a folded connection is obtained between adjacent rows by default.

The technology for installing the upper hard layer of a dry screed is as follows:

Important! The manufacturer completes the Superpol systems with self-tapping screws 3.9 mm long 19 - 45 mm (100 pieces in a box) marked MN.

The nuances of Superpole Knauf

AT ideal dry screed should be installed in all areas of the home at once. Since at the junction with the doorway, expanded clay will spill out from under the GVL sheets. However, in practice, Superpol is mounted in separate rooms, so the following technique is used:

Thus, bulk material is completely limited by a rigid box, cannot spill out from under the top layer.

Important! Even light partitions are forbidden to lean on the Knauf Superfloor, so they must be erected before the installation of a dry screed.

Thus, the Knauf dry screed is a complete system with detailed guide album editing standard solutions manufacturer. However, you can make the design yourself from ordinary GVL sheets without special tools.

Advice! If you need repairmen, there is a very convenient service for their selection. Just send in the form below detailed description work that needs to be done and you will receive offers with prices from construction teams and firms. You can see reviews of each of them and photos with examples of work. It's FREE and there's no obligation.

In most cases, the structure of the floor is a screed. The most familiar and popular wet way" based cement-sand mortar. But dry (prefabricated) technology, although used much less frequently, is a much more economically attractive way. Bulk floor can be used both for construction and repair work in residential and non-residential premises. The leading position in the market of dry bulk floors is rightfully occupied by the German company Knauf.

Characteristics of bulk floor Knauf

The Knauf company is widely known in the construction market and has maintained the high quality of its materials for many years. She produces drywall sheets, tongue-and-groove slabs, hypo-composite sheets and many liquid building mixtures, including primers, putties, adhesives, etc. But their calling card in our country is Knauf bulk floors, which will be discussed in this article.

Knauf-superlist

It is an environmentally friendly high quality material. Ideal for areas with high fire safety requirements. It has good sound and heat insulating properties. It is used as a compensating layer if the backfill thickness does not exceed 15 cm. Sheet dimensions are 250x120x1 cm and 250x120x1.25 cm.

Peculiarities:

  • high fire resistance;
  • high laying speed;
  • there is no need for "wet" stages of work;
  • creates a good indoor climate;
  • meets high international standards.

Moisture resistant Knauf-superlist

It retains all the advantages of conventional Knauf sheets, but at the same time it is highly moisture resistant. Sheet dimensions are 250x120x1 cm and 250x120x1.25 cm.

Floor elements Knauf-superpol

Produced at the factory from moisture-resistant gypsum fiber Knauf super sheets. In their manufacture, two sheets with dimensions of 150x50x1 cm are glued together, resulting in a total thickness of 2 cm. There are 5 cm wide folds along their entire perimeter.

The Knauf bulk floor consists of a layer of PVC film, expanded clay for leveling and the floor elements themselves. The main advantages are short time performance of work, the absence of "dirty" work, the creation of a perfectly even base of the floor and convenient location all communications. This floor is suitable for laying not only on flat surface, but also for an uneven base with cracks, depressions or bumps.

Advantages:

  • creates absolutely smooth and solid foundation floor, capable of withstanding a load of 500 kg / m2;
  • hypoallergenic material;
  • throughout the entire operational period, faults do not appear and there are no squeaks;
  • after installation, the floor is immediately ready for use;
  • any plasterboard partitions can be installed on the Knauf bulk floor;
  • excellent sound insulation (especially important for residents of high-rise buildings), which cannot be said about a cement screed or self-leveling floors;
  • there is no risk of flooding neighbors from below, because water is not used during operation;
  • Knauf floor is much warmer than concrete screed;
  • all work is carried out quickly and without loss of quality. It will take professionals no more than 3 hours to make a floor in a room of 18 meters, with all the materials and tools. And this is especially important for those who make repairs in the apartment in which they live;
  • you can fill the floor in the rooms one by one without losing the level.

On the resulting flat surface of the bulk floor, any floor covering is mounted: parquet, laminate, tile or porcelain stoneware.

The only thing that is prohibited is the installation of a warm water floor, they are replaced with electric ones. warm floors. Thanks to the layer of expanded clay backfill, the floor has excellent thermal insulation.

  • If the repair or reconstruction of the floor is carried out in old buildings or in houses with wooden floors. Since it can significantly reduce the load on bearing structures at home.
  • In the event that it is required to prepare the base of the floor as soon as possible.
  • In the cold season, when it is not possible to make a cement-sand screed.
  • If necessary, the arrangement of an electric floor heating in wooden interfloor ceilings.

Do-it-yourself Knauf bulk floor

There is nothing difficult in making it with your own hands. The main thing is to purchase materials, prepare tools and follow step-by-step instructions.

Substrate surface preparation

If produced repair work, then the old flooring is removed first. Perfect leveling of the surface is not necessary, but all construction garbage, including from cracks.

Arrangement of a vapor and moisture insulating layer

it milestone work, on which the duration of the operation of the floor depends. The fact is that moisture is detrimental to bulk floors, under its influence the plates swell and the front cover deteriorates. PVC layer or vapor barrier film laid under the backfill, will protect it from the effects of moisture, which will inevitably form on the interfloor overlap.

With the help of a level (preferably laser or water), marks are applied to the walls for the top level of the backfill.

Its height depends on the unevenness of the base of the floor, and varies from two to six centimeters. Another 2 cm of the thickness of the prefabricated base will be added to the resulting height - exactly as much as the floor level will rise as a result. Then a film is laid on the floor with an overlap on each other by at least 20-25 cm and glued with construction tape. It must go onto the walls to the previously set marks and be fixed with adhesive tape. As a film, you can use modern vapor barrier materials, also for concrete floor suitable polyethylene film with a thickness of 200 microns, and for wooden bituminized paper or glassine.

Tip: before laying a moisture-resistant film, all holes and cracks in the surface of the base should be sealed with a quick-hardening alabaster. If there are wires, they are placed in advance in the corrugation and pressed against the floor. It should be noted that the minimum layer of expanded clay over corrugated pipe is 2 cm.

Arrangement of sound insulation

This stage allows you to completely eliminate sound bridges and protect the floor from deformation during thermal expansion. To do this, a gap of 10 cm along the walls is left along the perimeter of the entire room, into which heat-insulating material is placed.

You can limit yourself to a foam rubber edge tape, which has a thickness of 1 cm and a width of 10 cm. They are commercially available self-adhesive and simple, which are attached to ordinary tape.

Expanded clay backfill

Bulk material, which is expanded clay, is necessary to create a flat surface, as well as for heat and sound insulation. Expanded clay is poured onto the film and leveled according to the marked markings with the rule. Silica or quartz sand, expanded perlite sand, fine-grained slag or expanded clay production screenings. All these materials have low hygroscopicity, practically do not settle, have high porosity and good flowability.

The thickness of the backfill layer directly depends on the degree of unevenness of the floor slab and on the need for installation in it. engineering communications.

On average, a layer thickness of 3-5 cm is sufficient, but if it exceeds 6 cm, then reinforcement of the screed with an additional layer of plates will be required.

How to fill in a dry screed

  • The first profile is installed near the wall, and all subsequent ones at a distance of 1.5 m from each other (rule length). They should be parallel to each other;
  • then the height of the profile points is determined and the thread is pulled. To change the height of the profiles, the remains of plates or planks are placed under them;

  • after completion of all work, you should once again check the level of the guide profile. To avoid its deflection, the supports under it are located at least every 70 cm;
  • expanded clay is poured along the prepared guides and leveled with a rule or a wide spatula. These works are carried out in a respirator due to the large amount of dust;

  • when the layer is leveled, the profile is removed along with the supports, and the holes formed are filled with expanded clay and leveled. After that, everything is rammed;
  • if in the future it will be necessary to lay the prefabricated floor from the door opposite to the entrance, then you should take care of the "islands". They are made from squares of chipboard, GVL or plywood and stacked on a layer of expanded clay;

With a perfectly flat surface of the base, there is no need for dry backfill, it is replaced with sheets of extruded polystyrene foam. Also thermal insulation materials(EPS, mineral wool, glass wool, etc.) is also used together with dry backfill when it is necessary to strengthen the thermal insulation of the floor. Insulation plates should fit snugly against each other, excluding even small gaps. Edge tape is placed along the walls.

Laying gypsum boards

Laying sheets on a dry screed starts from the door so that there is no need to walk on it during work. For dry screed can be used chipboard sheets, moisture resistant plywood, OSB, moisture resistant drywall or asbestos sheets. But the most durable and durable material are Knauf prefabricated floor elements. It can be simply gypsum-fiber sheets glued in two layers or with an additional polystyrene foam layer.

The assembly of the first row is very important, as it is decisive for the further progress of work.

It is better to do this work together. Since the weight of one sheet is 17 kg, it is very difficult to hold it on outstretched arms. On the first sheets, folds are immediately cut off, this is done so that the sheet lies exactly on the surface and does not go deep when stepping on it into expanded clay backfill.

Sheets are laid according to the principle of brickwork, that is, with offset joints.

Due to this arrangement, a place is formed for fixing adjacent sheets. Self-tapping screws must be screwed through the folds around the perimeter of each sheet at a distance of 15 cm from each other. For extra strength, all seams are glued with PVA glue.

Technology of bulk floors Knauf. How to avoid installation errors

Although Knauf superpol- this is a high-quality technology for installing a bulk floor that has been proven over the years, it also has disadvantages.

The first drawback concerns not so much the technology as the lack of professional tool for its device on the territory of Russia. Official representatives provide training videos for all stages of work, but there is simply no equipment for work in their catalogs.

The fold is cut off forever at the extreme sheets to the wall, which is the worst mistake, which will certainly lead to subsidence of the floor in this place.

Beacons left in the backfill lead to deformation of the prefabricated floor covering. Expanded clay will still shrink over time, and the beacons will remain in place, which will cause problems in the future.

Particular attention must be paid to the moisture content of expanded clay. If it is not dry enough, deformation of the floor cannot be avoided.

At correct installation bulk floor Knauf has only positive reviews. It is durable, strong and safe for human health. Ideal for residential and high traffic areas.

The price of bulk floors Knauf

The formation of the cost of the Knauf bulk floor depends on several components. With a floor thickness of 5-8 cm with installation work, a square meter of floor will cost 1300-1500 rubles.

To hide engineering communications, a total floor thickness of 7-8 cm will be required. The price will be about 1500 rubles, of which materials - 900-1000 rubles, and everything else for work. Doing all the work yourself is much cheaper, but without sufficient experience it will take much longer. So, for professionals, set the floor to 50 square meters it will take only 1-2 days, and if you do it yourself, then at least twice as long.

Approximate prices for materials for bulk floor Knauf:

  • moisture resistant sheets - 320r / m2;
  • expanded clay - 1500r / m3;
  • moisture-resistant film - 20 rubles / running meter;
  • edging tape - 180r / skein;
  • self-tapping screws - from 200r / pack.

When any repair concerns the floor plane, the main issue for residents and builders is the question of how to level the floor.

Modern market building materials dynamically responds to the problem of flooring and almost every year builders are offered new technologies or mixtures. There are dozens of flooring options on the market today. One of the last effective methods leveling the base of the floor - KNAUF - superfloor. Important difference of this “dry” screed is that it is a whole technology consisting of several building materials and processes.

The advantages of this technology are as follows:

  • Can be used on both concrete and wooden base with differences in floor level up to 10 cm.
  • Light weight of the finished structure.
  • Mounting speed. An area of about 50 sq / m is processed within 2 working days and already 24 hours after laying the superfloor, you can start finishing: laying laminate, parquet and tiles, laying linoleum.
  • Durability - the design of the superfloor is capable of withstanding a load of 20 to 40 kg per 1 cm / sq., Depending on the material of the finish coating.
  • High thermal and sound insulation properties.
  • In the space under the superfloor flooring, you can lay communications.

So, first things first.

The device of the "Superpol" system

Laying is carried out quickly enough and in several stages. First you need to carefully remove the base of the floor from any debris and process all the gaps and gaps found between the wall and the ceiling.

On the concrete base spreads polyethylene film, for wooden floors instead of the film, special lining paper should be used, and it must be laid with an overlap.

It is important to take into account that the edges of the film and paper around the entire perimeter should go on the walls by 15-20 cm.

An edge tape is fixed on top of the film along the perimeter, which compensates for deformation expansions and increases the soundproofing qualities of the new screed. After laying the entire superfloor system, the excess film and edge tape are cut off along the contour.

Next, a backfill based on fine-grained expanded clay is poured onto the film, with a layer of at least 20 mm. As a free-flowing mixture, it "dusts" a little, so it's better to work in a mask.

In order to level the expanded clay sand, before laying the sheets of the superfloor, it is necessary to install beacons clearly set along laser level, and already on them the backfill is leveled using a trapezoidal rule.

Elements of the "Superpol" system

The elements of the "superpol" system are a gypsum-fiber sheet (GVLV), which has high moisture resistance and strength; it is not without reason that this material is called a super sheet. Unlike conventional drywall, a different production technology is used here: gypsum dough is pressed with fibers of fluffy waste paper.

For the super sex German manufacturer offers two sheet formats: the so-called floor elements (EP), 1200x600x20 in size and a small-format GVLV sheet. The difference between the sheets is that EPs are made by gluing two moisture-resistant gypsum-fiber sheets, resulting in the formation of folds, while the total thickness of such an element is 20 mm.

If you decide to use small-format GVLV sheets, they must be laid in two layers with a run-up, glued together with PVA glue and fixed with screws for gypsum-fiber sheets.

The main stages of laying supersheets

The laying of floor elements starts from the corner opposite the doorway, and at the first sheet, the fold must be cut off to ensure that the sheet adjoins the wall evenly.

To step over the backfill, moving from the window to the door, use "islands" of drywall or gypsum fiber cuts, they allow you to move along the dry backfill without violating the integrity of the even layer. Glue is applied along the fold, so the elements are fastened together. The place of contact in the fold of two sheets must be tightened with special screws for GVL.

If you use small-format GVLV sheets, they must be laid in two layers with a run-up, glued together with PVA glue and also fixed with screws for gypsum-fiber sheets.

As a result, the surface acquires a perfectly flat plane, on which any finishing floor covering lies, be it laminate, parquet, tile, linoleum, etc.

What else is important to know about the Superpol system

With this technology, you can use a heater to improve the thermal insulation of the room. It is also possible to install plastic or metal-plastic pipes heating and plumbing communications. It is important to note that laying and pressure testing of communications is carried out before the stage of expanded clay backfilling.

If it is planned to lay linoleum on the floor, the gaps of the plates and the fastening of the screws must be leveled with Fugen GV putty. Other floor finishes do not require this treatment.

In rooms with high humidity when laying is supposed to be on the floor ceramic tiles or porcelain stoneware, you need to protect the sheets from moisture. Before cladding, it is recommended to apply Flachenticht waterproofing.

In general, it can be added that the superfloor system helps to level the base, equip the apartment with an even and high-quality floor, reducing time costs by several times, especially compared to cement screeds. This German technology greatly simplifies floor laying in rooms of complex configuration.

Video

You can learn more about this system by watching the video.

Foreword. Many people want to do the laying of the Knauf superfloor with their own hands in a room or on a balcony. Floors using this technology are light, unlike concrete floors, in addition, they are warm and reliable. When installing a superfloor, less dirt is formed than with self-leveling floors. We will disassemble the device of the Knauf floor elements on our own and show the video instructions for installing dry floors at the end of the material from professionals.

4. Laying floor elements

The main rule when installing floor elements is not to move the sheet along the backfill. You just need to put the sheet on top of the expanded clay backfill and fix it. Although this is not so easy to do, since one sheet weighs about 17 kg. By doing the work together, it will be much easier to lay the rough coating. On all sheets running along the walls, the fold is removed.

5. Fixing sheets with self-tapping screws and glue

Sheets are laid on the floor with a seam offset, similar to brickwork or insulation of the facade with foam. The floor element consists of two gypsum-fiber sheets glued together, so there remains a field for fixing the sheet with self-tapping screws. Each Knauf floor sheet is fastened around the entire perimeter with wood screws every 10-15 cm. For greater strength, the manufacturer recommends gluing PVA seams.

Features of Knauf superpol technology

Dry screed Knauf superpol is faster than concrete screed. This is a prefabricated system that significantly reduces the complexity of leveling and floor insulation. Knauf floors significantly reduce the load on the floor, as they distribute the weight, in addition, the expanded clay layer significantly increases the thermal insulation of the premises. Typically, floor elements are laid on top of expanded clay backfill with a fine fraction of up to 5 mm.

Laying floor elements is quite simple, but requires some skill. This technology has many subtleties, following the manufacturer's instructions will give an excellent result. To install the superfloor with your own hands, watch the video tutorial from professional builders and learn the process thoroughly. You should not rush into this matter in order to end up with perfectly flat and warm floors in the house.

The appearance of Knauf floors on the market was a real breakthrough in the field of construction. Hundreds of users have already fallen in love with Knauf's easy-to-install bulk floors. And although it is impossible to call the material cheap, the reviews of professionals say that with such a basis you will save a lot of time and effort.

Bulk floor features

Dry screed is a kind of cocktail created by means of gypsum fiber panel elements. GVL is laid on a special waterproofing film, overlapped with ends of at least 20 cm. Also, the protection crawls out onto the walls, by about 6-7 cm. Installing a dry screed saves time, allowing you to do without wet cement-sand mixture and all manipulations associated with it. And the main advantage of Knauf is high strength and quality of the material. The name of the bulk floor Knauf means that after leveling the surface, GVL slabs are laid on it, which are fastened by means of mounting adhesive or self-tapping screws.

Where and when to use bulk dry floors?

Whether or not to use a super-floor is up to the user, but there are cases when Knauf plates 1200x600x22 mm are the best alternative of any choice:

  1. When reconstructing an old floor covering without replacing the old base. Advantages of the plate - low weight, greatly facilitating the load on all load-bearing elements and quick installation that allows you to cope with the work without the involvement of additional forces.
  2. If it is planned to install a warm electronic floor in a building with wooden floors.
  3. When laying is needed in record time, slabs gvl and bulk floor Knauf - the best solution.
  4. Prefabricated slabs are ideal for arranging floors in the cold season, when the installation of a traditional screed is not possible.

View material characteristics and choose the best prices on the goods, as well as to get acquainted with the nuances of the work will help the video.

Technological process of laying bulk floor

It is important to pay attention to the execution of the stages of work so that the elements are in place and do not have to redo all the work again:

  1. Backfilling dry screed. The material purchased in the store must be covered along the perimeter of the floor area, guided by the level of the pre-installed beacons. After that, the surface should be leveled with a rail and in no case should the flat floor be subjected to deformation. How to pour out and level a dry screed Knauf will tell you a video lesson. Although the reviews of professionals say that no difficulties are expected in the process. But in order to walk on the screed, it is better to lay sheets of GVL (trimming is also possible), and then the installation of GVL will begin directly.
  2. The device bulk floor Knauf. Laying GVL elements begins from the place farthest from the entrance to the room. As soon as the first sheet is laid, the second, third immediately fit. This is done as tightly as possible, the gaps between the elements should not be more than 1mm.
  3. After installation is completed, all small joints must be sealed with glue.

Important! The screed must not be damaged in any way. And to make the installation as strong as possible, you should use self-tapping screws.

  1. After the first row of tiles has been laid, proceed to laying the second row. To start building a row, you can use a cut of the slab (in the case of cutting an element), but only if the size of the slab is not less than a quarter of the whole;
  2. At smooth walls installation is carried out without serious gaps, but in case of irregularities, the remaining gaps are foamed with mounting foam.
  3. The direction of laying out the elements is determined individually. After completion of work, the joints must be sanded and leveled with putty.

Advice! Work is best done in pairs, the weight of one gvl plate is approximately 17 kg, it is difficult to withstand it on outstretched arms. The joints when working with the material are displaced, as when laying bricks.

Dry screed thickness - stage three

The minimum thickness of the Knauf bulk floor, as recommended by the reviews of professionals, should be at least 4-5 cm. It turns out that the thickness of the backfill is added to the thickness of the sheet (2 cm), also 2-3 cm. The parameters should be taken into account in case of work with my own hands. The final floor covering (laminate, tile) must also be taken into account.

Knauf floors suggest slight shrinkage, about 1.5-2 cm, therefore, when installing a dry screed in several rooms, it is necessary to take into account interior transitions.

Waterproofing, soundproofing

All bulk floors are afraid of moisture: swelling, deformation and then uneven subsidence - all this can be avoided by arranging a waterproofing layer of ordinary polyethylene of good thickness. A layer is laid under a dry screed. It is especially important to comply with the condition if the floors of the building are wooden. Sealing cracks, holes with alabaster, pressing wires to the base - initial works, after which it is possible to lay the waterproofing. All the nuances preparatory work you can watch the video.

It's a good idea to take care of the soundproofing layer that prevents floor deformation. To do this, you need to leave a small gap between the gypsum board and the wall, where any soundproofing material (mineral wool or foam tape self-adhesive).

Under what can you install a superfloor?

Bulk material Knauf assumes any final finish:

  • Linoleum;
  • Laminate;
  • Ceramic tiles;
  • Parquet;
  • Carpet;
  • Solid wood, veneer.

Super-floor Knauf is not cheap, but such a dry screed is much easier to install and is not much inferior in terms of characteristics to cement-sand. As a result, the user receives high performance characteristics elements and speed and ease of installation.

Advantages of modular plates:

  • evenness of the base, which can withstand a load of distributed type 500 kg/m2, point type 200 kg/m2;
  • High fire-resistant qualities. The floating floor is ideal for both residential, domestic and industrial premises;
  • Hypoallergenic. Thanks to gvl sheets and dry screed are made from natural material, the elements are recommended for laying in kindergartens, hospitals and other premises where high standards are imposed on the quality of floors;
  • Non-deformation. Such characteristics make it possible to avoid squeaks and breaks of elements during operation. The super-floor will remain intact even with everyday intensive loads;
  • Thermal and soundproof properties. Laying Knauf flooring requires only waterproofing, without layers of heat and sound insulating material on the base. Soundproofing, as mentioned above, is required only on wall panels;
  • Extremely short turnaround time. The device of the floors is so simple that you can cope with them on your own, and without spending a single extra day on drying or ripening the composition. At the same time, the Knauf floating or modular floor is ready for operation immediately after laying out and puttying the joints;
  • Ease of installation. Due to the small format of the elements, the installation of floors can be carried out in different rooms without loss of quality and level;
  • No "wet" work. This quality it is especially important if the superfloor is laid out in apartments with old supports, where the device wet screed impossible because of the dilapidation of the lag, ceilings.

Flaws:

  1. Superpol has a low moisture resistance. A dry screed device is impossible without a waterproofing layer. Also, the Knauf device is not recommended in rooms with a constant aggressive humid environment. Moisture ingress will require opening the plate, prolonged drying of the filler or complete replacement elements.
  2. Dustiness when working with expanded clay fractions. This can be easily avoided by mounting and backfilling in respirators;
  3. High cost compared to other materials.

The disadvantages that the superpole has are minimal. The final price of the work, according to professionals, is not much higher than laying a wet screed. But the term of readiness of the floor (immediately, after the elements are laid) - makes Knauf products count ideal solution for practical owners.
